Over time we just settled on this place for a couple of reasons. 1 it is locally owned and operated, others may be owned but Nevers seems to be a local owner around. 2. They support the local schools & community organization for their events and sports. 3. Prices are reasonable, even with out a coupon.... They don't do coupons or honor other competitors 4. Convenience in location to drive in and out of and pick up, they will put it in your car for you. 5 they have a seamstress (think she is the Mother of the owners) to mend or fit clothes. 6 they will get your rugs cleaned. 7. They have never lost anything in 20 years. 8 99% of the time they get the stains out. 9. They can do 'light starch' on my husband's shirts. 10 only negative... Yes there is a 'pink' surcharge for women's attire. I did ask once why and although I didn't like the answer, it made sense. Dry clean equipment invented 60 years ago was mostly male workers, so anything not standard button up shirt or men suits have to be cleaned by hand... Even women's pants because the zipper is on the opposite side and smaller waste than hip. Hmmm. So not a neg I guess in Kim's, just the industry the never evolved, and why would it now... No clothing is standard any more

On leaving my comforter, I mentioned to the proprietor that the comforter was dry clean only. After I picked my comforter up and took it home, I found that it was completely ruined. Lee's Cleaners had washed it in the washing machine and dried it in the drier. When I took it back to Lee's Cleaners, the proprietor said he washed it in the washing machine even though it was dry clean only. He actually read the tag to me where it says dry clean only. He insisted that nothing was wrong with the comforter, and because it was polyester and made in China, it could be washed in the washing machine and dried in the dryer anyways. The fabric has lost its soft texture. The comforter is all wrinkled and because it is ruched, can't be fixed. Also, the inside of the comforter is all balled up and crooked. The proprietor of Lee's Cleaners was very rude, cursing at me and calling me crazy. He refused to reimburse me for my comfoter even though he did not follow the cleaning directions and clearly ruined my comforter. This cleaner is dishonest and does not take responsibility for his mistake.

The sweatpants were also returned with stains and lint balls on them. I am appalled by the service received. This was not the first time having a problem with the dry cleaning service, everytime is a new issue. This time they just went too far. There is no way that a brand new shirt could be completely destroyed in such a manner, care was clearly not given in any way whatsoever.

I don't think I will be returning in the future due to the pre-payment that is required and I was not satisfied with the cleanliness of his uniform and coat. Not to mention one of his medals from his uniform was misplaced. I did not make it a big deal I simply ordered another from online, I take full responsibility because I should've made sure everything was removed before hand. I always want to support black owned businesses and many times that is why I patronize them. This is my 2nd time here and I honestly can't recall my previous experience. I don't want to write all negative things but the Staff was very professional from the young lady I dropped my laundry off with and the older lady who assisted me. I used the drive up every time. Thankfully the uniform was not damaged and he was able to be in uniform and ready for roll call on Thursday.
