He asked about Friday and I told him that would be a good day because that day was still relatively light. He said he would come by sometime after noon. I never heard from him again. Worst part is I canceled somebody else to leave the day open for his visit ( the reason that day was light was because I already had someone else scheduled and silly me cancelled them!!)

I highly recommend Paramount Plumbing and HVAC…read more Our natural gas hot water heater was 12 years old. It was a Whirl Pool from Lowes, basic residential home unit with plastic drain plug. The fumes from use over the years were getting pretty bad and replacing the thermocouple no longer made it work. I contacted Shane Creech with Paramount Plumbing HVAC. I was able to send photos of the Whirlpool to Shane and gave him dimensions. Shane was able to quote a price within minutes. When I asked how long it would be before he could do the work, he surprised me when he said the very next day at 8:30 am. Shane was on time, professional, had the old hot water heater removed, and had installed a new Builders Supply Rheem Professional Classic 50 gallon (not the cheap residential Home Depot model) within 2 hours of arriving. After installation, he reviewed the hot water heater features and operation in detail. The Rheem Professional Classic has upgraded manufacturing and parts with a brass drain plug, metal control valve, anode upgrade, and is so very quiet. It came with a 6 year warranty. Shane is a Master Plumber and he made a very tight, difficult removal and installation look easy. Call him today. You will not be disappointed.

He showed up within 30 minutes of receiving our call, was very professional and polite, and got right to work. He quickly diagnosed and resolved our issue, and advised us about contacting the water company to apply for a reduction in the excessive water bill resulting from the leak. Pricing was also reasonable. Hopefully it will be awhile before we have another plumbing problem, but when we do, we will call Alex again, because of his great work ethic, and also we like to support young local business owners!

Everyone else wanted to do big-time excavation first to address our water problem, and Chris suggested three well-positioned sump pumps with solid reliability. Well, after years of rain, then the basement flood, it ended. The pumps have worked flawlessly ever since. We hear the rain, then the very faint sound of the pump at night. Best sound in the world. I use American Home Shield, and when I had a septic blockage, they assigned Prime Time Plumbing…read moreService to the service request. However, it was a different company that doesn't seem to exist. A different phone number that was just an automated system designed to hang up on you. I tracked down the number for the real Prime Time Plumbing (Basil) and found out that he's had several people that assume he's working with AHS (he's not). The other company apparently does horrible work and then that gets reflected back on Basil. Although Basil didn't actually perform any work for me (again, he doesn't work through AHS), he gave me several suggestions and took the time to walk through the issue and explain the (deliberate?) mix-up on the names. I don't know who the other company is, but if you are assigned Prime Time Plumbing Service and it is NOT owned by Basil, call your home warranty company immediately and ask them to switch to another contractor.
