If I could give 10 stars, I would! Excellent service and care. If you need dental work, please do…read moreyourself a favor and contact, Dr. Houston!! You will not regret it. A little back story. I went to a subpar dentist (check yelp review), which lead to major issues with my teeth, ie teeth shifting, infection below gum line, bad fill in work. This begins my story with West Cobb Dentist. I came in to get a deep cleaning, before getting braces, to address issue with shifting teeth. This is when we uncovered the major issues from previous dental work. To be succinct, I needed to get 7 crowns, 2 fillings and a tooth extracted. One requisite, all this work needed to be accomplished in one week, so I would be ready for my ortho appointment. Dr. Houston was thorough in her assessment of what was needed and what we could safely wait on addressing. Dr. Houston with her assistant, Trina, took on the challenge and got it done! My oral health and comfort/pain level was her utmost concern. The 4 days of intense dental work were a breeze, Dr. Houston and Trina made sure of it - whether it was a warm blanket (pretty cold in the office) or extra numbing. Dr. Houston is now my forever dentist.!! I would be remiss, if I didn't mention the front desk staff - Toya (office manager) and Margaret. Very pleasant ladies! They always greet you with a smile and a hearty hello.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I believe patients deserve transparency when it comes to…read morehealthcare experiences. I underwent treatment at this practice that included a root canal and crown placement. After the procedure, I continued experiencing ongoing tenderness and discomfort around the tooth and outer gum area. During a follow-up visit on 3/18, my concerns were acknowledged, but I was advised to "wait it out" because healing could take up to six months or longer. Unfortunately, my symptoms continued to worsen. I ultimately sought a second opinion from another dentist with over 25 years of experience, including updated X-rays and examination findings. I was informed that the crown was not seated properly against the tooth margins, leaving space where food was becoming trapped around the crown. This explained the persistent irritation and discomfort I had repeatedly expressed concerns about. What made the experience even more concerning was that after attempting to advocate for myself regarding the ongoing pain, incomplete billing concerns, and unresolved treatment issues, I was ultimately dismissed from the practice rather than provided with a meaningful resolution plan. As a result, I am now in the position of having to pay a second provider to correct work that was never properly completed the first time. Patients trust dental professionals not only to perform procedures correctly, but also to take patient concerns seriously when something does not feel right during recovery. In my experience, that trust was not honored here. I strongly encourage future patients to seek second opinions if persistent pain or gum irritation is dismissed as "normal healing," especially after major dental work.

I have been going to West Cobb Dentistry for 3 plus years since moving out to Georgia from California. I miss Dr. Chase Hall but the new dentist they brought on, Dr. Couk is fantastic. You can tell he has extensive experience and is very knowledgeable. He will go in depth what your symptoms are, root cause of the problem. Then he will lay out remedies and options for you. Unlike some dentists that try to sell you more services and products, he is looking out for your best interest. Believe me, I have had a dentist try to sell me a teeth guard that costs several hundred dollars telling me I can lift more weights! And of course, the staff here is magnificent! Even if you have dental insurance, unfortunately the cost of getting dental treatment is not cheap. I have had to get two crowns so far and Kellie Guffin has been very helpful with the process. I think being informed and knowing what the cost impact is going to be is very important. And I must add that the hygienists are very thorough and gentle. For the world of me I could not get my husband to get his teeth cleaned as he does not like going to the dentist but I "tricked" him to going and got help from the staff No need to say he booked his next teeth cleaning appointment. Finally the dental assistants are always friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a local, trustworthy dentist, West Cobb Dentistry is it!

Wonderful!!! My…read morehygienist made me feel so comfortable and I have been patiently awaiting being able to get back on my schedule of dental treatment! After moving from South Carolina and having a not so great experience with a dentist there, I was nervous. Thanks so much!

BEWARE! Before my…read moreappointment, I specifically called and asked if this dental office accepted my insurance and was told they did. They accepted my insurance, told me what my portion was, and I paid it. Later, I received an additional bill for $241 and was told they were actually OUT OF NETWORK. I called TWICE asking for someone to call me back about this and never received a call. I had been with my previous dentist for over 25 years. I only left because they were HONEST with me and told me they were out of network with my insurance. Had this office been equally upfront, I would not have gone there. Even more concerning, I later learned my husband had essentially the SAME experience with this office last year. When the same thing happens to two people in the same family, after specifically asking about insurance, it certainly has the appearance of a con job to me. My advice: Get confirmation IN WRITING that they are IN-NETWORK and what your total cost will be before having any work done. Based on our family's experiences, I would not return!

I was able to use my insurance as well so my actual out of pocket was just over $100. While at Kennesaw Mountain they told me I needed two crowns for the two root canals I had done at the Endo. The Endo recommended a crown and a filling, (one tooth was cracked), Kennesaw Mountain Dental Associates told me I actually needed two crowns to the tune of almost $3,000. Come to find out I didn't actually need two crowns. The recommendation from the Endo was correct, all I needed was a crown and a filling this is after both dentists at my new dentist looked at the root canals done by my Endo. So in addition to being rude and lazy, they are also trying to over charge by pushing unnecessary dental procedures. Be very careful if you visit Kennesaw Mountain Dental Associates. Make sure you reach out to your insurer prior to your visit and check your coverage or they may try what they tried with me and tell you that you don't have coverage. Also if they recommend a procedure don't hesitate to hit pause, take few days and get a second opinion. It could save you thousands of dollars.

Wow!!!! BEST Dentist experience,.....yet...lol…read more I have to be a little reserved in my review...it's come back to bite me before. This was an initial consultation @ 7 am. Went Great! Dr. Patel was spot on. Great attitude... perfect smile and eyes that would make me hand him my wallet!!! I left the consolation with an open spot to come back at 9:30 for an exam. Went up to the chick fil a and they called me about 8:45 and said come on back. I went back in for round 2. I was scared out my mind. Haven't been to the dentist in well over 8 yrs!!!!! I meet up with the Goddess know simply as Ms. Pam or Patt...can't remember.......ohhhhh what a woman though..... Her voice could melt butter....so calm, soothing and reassuring.... I was still hella tense!!!!!!, but she made me feel like I was lying in bed at home. I ABSOLUTELY HATE POKING AND PRODDING in my mouth,....BUT,....Ms. Pam and Dr. Patel did it with such ease and reassurance. Overall I've got to have about 3-4 visits to clean and fix and repair everything that is wrong with my mouth, (shame on me....I'm completely embarrassed and Totally ashamed)...but I'll keep you all updated! So far..a 5!!!

Truth in Advertising? Beware the $99 Cleaning Offer at Pure Smiles Dentistry…read more I recently went to Pure Smiles Dentistry because they advertised a $99 dental cleaning. I couldn't get an appointment with my regular dentist until mid-December, and all I wanted was to have my teeth cleaned. I specifically explained that when I called to make the appointment. I repeated it when I arrived and again to the dental hygienist who took me back. What I didn't realize was that the advertised $99 cleaning was apparently conditional. First, they would take extensive X-rays, measure my gums, examine my mouth, and then decide whether they would actually clean my teeth. After all of that, they refused to provide a regular cleaning because they said I had periodontal disease and needed more extensive treatment. The dentist pointed out that I had significant bone loss. I explained that I already knew that. I've had bone loss for decades, along with a complicated dental history dating back to childhood. I've had braces three times and even had my jaws surgically broken and realigned. Naturally, a dentist unfamiliar with that history might have questions. But I wasn't there for a comprehensive evaluation of my lifelong dental problems. I was there for a cleaning. I was repeatedly told that providing a regular cleaning would be "subpar treatment" and that it would essentially do no good given my other dental issues. Which raises an interesting question: Should I stop brushing and flossing, too, since apparently routine dental hygiene serves no purpose unless every underlying problem is addressed first? I am not disputing that I have bone loss or that I may need additional periodontal treatment. My complaint is that I specifically requested a regular cleaning, repeatedly made that clear, and was never told upfront that I might leave without having my teeth cleaned at all. Would a routine cleaning really have harmed me? Or was the advertised $99 cleaning primarily a way to get patients in the door for a comprehensive examination that could lead to substantially more expensive treatment? I can't speak to their intentions. I can only describe my experience. I went in expecting a $99 cleaning. I left without having my teeth cleaned. After I complained in a discussion with the office manager, they waive the fee, but that me to wonder how many people would've complained or simply found themselves in a situation by that $99 advertisement for a cleaning where they were on the hook for my tire cost and more extensive treatment. It seems a lot of people are very happy with this business I'm not saying that the business is bad, I am saying this particular advertisement their way of drawing people in questionable. So what exactly was the purpose of advertising the $99 cleaning in the first place?
