It's nice to finally have a health food store in Gresham. They also have a great selection with decent prices. Everything from food to vitamins & personal care items. My only complaint is needing to check expiration dates on their dairy products, I've bought expired items twice! Overall this is a great place. read more

Natural Grocer is failing miserably in the customer service department. They're constantly out of stock of many, many items. If you ask if they have more in the back, the answer is always no. You have to get a manager and they'll make someone actually go check. They don't value regular customers. I've requested half a dozen items (for nearly seven months) that are sold at all of the other Natural Grocer locations and they haven't brought it one of them. It's a different story every time you ask about the best time to find items in stock. Natural Grocers has MUCH better prices than Whole Paycheck or New Seasons, but their customer service is like Walmart...non existent. It's like they don't want customers. read more

Great produce, lots of different stuff to try. Love the skin care/beauty section. Probably not somewhere I could do my main shopping at weekly, because some stuff is more expensive then at other places, not a big meat selection or deli but overall a good experience, super friendly staff and I will definitely go back! read more

Store is great, yelp sucks. I this is three out of the last five times I relied on the hours yelp listed, I got screwed and made a trip for nothing. The hours say close at 9 everyday and Sunday they close at 8:05. read more

Woo-hooooo... Finally! At Last! Huzzah! We finally have a whole food option in Gresham... and so centrally located! No more grid lock on the freeway or expending unnecessary amounts of fossil fuels to fuel our bodies with all manner of organic options! The prices for their supplements... vitamins... Bach's flower essences and other naturopathic/homeopathic medicinals were extremely reasonable compared to Whole Foods and New Seasons. For years I have I begged Trader Joe's to open a store in an empty retail space near me that has been empty for at least the 5 years I've lived here. But no... Greshamites don't seem to matter to any of these health food retailers. So imagine my surprise to discover that without fanfare or warning NG had opened a mere 2.5 miles from me... so close I can ride my bike there! Oh, Joy! At last a company that sees our need for reasonably priced, healthy alternatives in Gresham! God Bless Natural Grocers. Long may they prosper and have their doors open for business in East County. The first time I shopped at the Burnside Natural Grocers, I was impressed by the warm, friendly treatment I received. The young lady who helped me find what I was looking for actually took me to the item on the shelf, happily, after I took her away from her work in another part of the store. The second time I went there, I got the same treatment from another employee. Today was the third time - over many months - and, you guessed it, a very pleasant shopping experience, courtesy of yet another employee. What really surprises me is, I don't toss out phrases like "pleasant shopping experience"; this store just has that effect on me. It makes me want to come back and buy stuff I don't even need just to soak up some of the vibe. read more

The produce here normally isn't great quality and the service leaves a lot to be desired. The person stocking the shelves acted like it was a burden to help me find one thing and gave me a snooty attitude for asking. If I'm going to pay a premium (beyond normal organic costs) I expect you to not act like it's a hassle to answer a question.... read more

Good selection but I have no idea how people can afford to feed themselves when a single bag of groceries can easily run over 60-70$. You can get 3x the amount of organic items for the same price from Costco. I only stop by here for a handful of items maybe 2x a month. read more

Today was my first time shopping at a Natural Grocers (Gresham). Impressive: I love that you can actually shop the peripheral and be healthier for it, I love that their not providing any type of bags at checkout reinforces sustainability-different sized boxes from packing were offered, I LOVE that everything is organic and their prices are competitively cheaper than commercial products at bigger stores, I love that the store was busy and ALL of the staff still acknowledged others with a gladness to share the store and a friendly attitude--Daniel particularly stood out in the produce department, he had a wonderful blend of charisma and knowledge of his department and products, and store for that matter. Since I cook at home, having a prepackaged section over a hot or cold deli, etc, isn't important. Everything was effectively presented. A great first impression. We will be back, and to think I live in North Portland and there are rumors that one might be built on the N Martin Luther King Jr Blvd and Alberta PDC lot? Got my vote. read more
