Terrible customer service. I was checked out at the register by a Kathleen, older woman, pudgy, and had an unpleasant demeanor throughout the entire interaction. It was demeaning and she was very rude to the point that other customers took notice and afterwards inquired what was the matter with her. Needless to say I am disappointed in the passive aggressive behavior and racist undertones that Kathleen decided to exhibit during my last visit. Not My Jam I go here from time to time, but overall I find the selection wanting and the prices sky high. I guess I should clarify that a bit. The selection is actually quite expansive, but it's just a lot of stuff that I don't buy. And if I happen to come upon something I do like, it feels like it is vastly overpriced. Maybe it's just me. I guess virtue signaling "gender neutral restrooms" on Yelp is fancy talk for no restrooms. Yes I must admit being equally closed to all is bathing in neutrality. I live a block away so I've been coming here way too much for years. They recently were on a really rude employee streak where I was avoiding the place, but that's not been the case for a while now. Most employees, good or bad, seem to give the store about a year. But I shamelessly keep pestering their front doors, wearing the place down like it's my own personal hippie 7-11, but alas no longer my toilet. Yes the homeless are gross on Broadway, but they have a security guard here that seems pretty vigilant to me. It's always clean & nicely air conditioned. Beautiful produce all organic! Always functioning water machine...but I can't seem to clean that bathroom grudge off my shoulder. Don't get me started with Safeway across the street ;no b'rooms there either! Clean，well merchandised store with very helpful staff. I was there on a weekday morning and the staff member who was stocking shelves kindly walked me to the areas of the store where I might find the mushroom supplements I was looking for. He also provided a handout from their nutrition files and told me a more knowlegable staff member would be showing up for her shift soon. I go to this Natural Grocers regularly. I recently braved the Coronavirus panic to grab some essentials and the bottom of my box broke as I was walking out of the store. A bottle of soy sauce and honey both broke and everything was covered with soy. Not only were three separate staff members quick to come and help me clean up, but they quickly ran into replace what broke without question. I was in tears with gratitude for the help and generosity that you just wouldn't see at any other store. But it's not just this instance that moved me to write this review. Everyone who works at this location is incredibly friendly, positive and helpful - which is just good vibes. Plus I love the huge bulk selection and organic only produce. Omg love love loved this cute little store! Location is super accessible either from broadway or from Lincoln! Parking lot is somewhat small but it wasn't busy when we arrived at about 6 in the evening so it was not problem at all! Walking in I noticed that the store was immaculate and so well organized! It was quiet and calm! I couldn't believe I was in a grocery store! It was like the grocery store experience that only existed in my dreams! No one pushing and hitting me in the ankle with carts or kids screaming? I was in heaven! I took my time and looked around and noticed they had similar items to other natural food stores I have been to but others that were new to me so that was exciting! I really enjoyed their self serving house kombucha featured in the fresh food section and my favorite flavor was the peach! I was also really interested in all of their aroma therapy candles and bath soaks so I will definitely be back to pick some up when I have a bit more to spend! Pricing ranged from $ to $$! Once I grabbed some new interesting items I headed to he checkout and got through with a breeze! The clerk assisting us was great as he informed us of how to sign up for their loyalty program and told us about the deals they will have in a week for the company anniversary! I shop at this natural grocers on broadway every Sunday. I purchased a $35 of probiotics. When I got home I realized the bottle was missing the seal and numerous capsules were broken with contents spilled. I returned a few days later to exchange for another bottle but did not have a receipt (they don't print one for you unless you request a receipt). The manager on duty said there was nothing he could do. When I asked for store manager name and phone number to be written down he said "you can look it up online". TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Went in for the first time this morning! I pass this location every morning on my way to work. So grateful for as I moved away from one and is no longer convenient to get to, but this location is! The store is very clean and well stocked. It has aisles and sections very similar to my usual store so everything was easy to find. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I just went shopping here and have been recently due to COVID 19, I went into the store today to get milk, peanut butter and chips and some other miscellaneous items. I went to the furthest check out line and the lady checking me out did not I for me before I started checking out that they were out of boxes. I asked her when she finished scanning my items if she had a box for my items she just looked at me and said "we usually do" but I didn't have a box or reusable bag to put my items in. So I then proceeded to ask for a reusable bag and she said they were 1$ extra I said fine I'd pay for it. My debit card was already in the machine and she acting like it was an inconvenience to make a separate transaction for the bag since my payment for my items already went through on my card. She was very rude and just just screamed at me to have it. The lady was named TRISH and she is not a person who should be working in customer service especially during these trying times.
