I had sciatic pain radiating from my left lower back to my inner thigh With burning and numbing sensation. Pain was 10/10. I had to go to the ER because I couldn't walk. When I left the ER I still had pain and they gave me steroid medication and pain medicine. Nothing would help and a week after I decided to try acupuncture. I'm very happy to have meet Dr Raymond. About a month a go I got the shingles virus in my ear. To make matters worse half my face got paralyzed. I was diagnosed with Ramsey Hunt syndrome. Dr. Raymond is super friendly and making an appointment was a breeze. I was referred here because I have a breech baby at 37 weeks and we are trying to get her turned head down. The price is very reasonable for a moxibustion ($40), and the first time the baby only moved a little bit, so we tried again a week later, but still no luck. We did an ECV a few days after and it turns out that the baby is wrapped in cords, and so that's why she did not want to turn. The first part was a bit uncomfortable though as Dr. Raymond burns ashes close to the pinky toe (and it gets really burning hot), but he was really gentle about it. Dr. Raymond was very attentive during the procedures and even showed me pictures of his family. Even though it didn't work, it was a good attempt, and I was able to relax a little during the moxibustion. read more

Lifechanging!!! I have a rare disease called Erythromelalgia. My disease took an ugly turn about a month ago and out of desperation I was willing to try anything! It's been long overdue that i needed to update my review. I have been feeling so much better. The teas helped me tremendously. Now my husband is coming in for treatment and he noticed the difference right away!!! For month now I have been struggling with heart palpitations and sleeping issues. Let me tell you a little about myself: I have suffered from lower back pain for about 10+ years. I also took a fall 2 years ago causing a herniated disc which made my lower back problems even worse. On a daily basis, I had numbing and tingling on my left leg, I had a stiff back with painful movements. I did physical therapy after I had my fall. I did steroid injections on my back. I had just about every pain medication out there. I was always miserable. On a good day, my pain level was at a 5. On a bad day, I couldn't move, my pain level at a 10. Back in March, I happened to wake up with intolerable pain but I had already made plans to go out with my husband and his family for his birthday, so I took my pain meds hoping it would help. By the afternoon, I was still in excruciating pain. Having had no pain relief from the morning dose, I took a second dose of my pain meds. Still no relief. I yelped to find a chiropractor opened on the weekend that didn't require an appointment. The only thing I found was acupuncture and decided to give it try if it meant my pain would go away. Luckily, I found this place, called to make sure I could walk-in and get treated. I came in, filled out a few forms and met with the doctor. He places a few needles to see if I had any relief and I swear within minutes I had so much relief. My pain was almost nonexistent! I went from not being able to tolerate standing or sitting to being able to move around like I hadn't in years! He only used about 8 needles in total. It didn't hurt. I was expecting to feel the stabbing needle or a stab but honestly I didn't feel anything. The place is quiet and relaxing. There was a promotion for 5 sessions, so I bought that. I stopped using my arsenal of pain meds. After the last session, I felt like a completely new person. Acupuncture has been an answered prayer for me. I have trigeminal neuralgia and was referred here for pain management. I was not previously a big believer in anything other than western medicine, but it had been failing me so I took a chance. 3 sessions later, I am relatively pain free. After I found out my baby was breech at 34 weeks, I contacted Dr. Raymond through his website to see if I could come to him for moxibustion. I had read that it was effective, and he replied promptly to my email. I called and made an appointment. There are a few ways to do moxibustion, and I was thankful that Dr. Raymond was very attentive, asked me questions about my pregnancy, and was happy to help me. He performed the "indirect method," which is non-scarring and does not hurt. After moxibustion, he had me lie down on my side, did a inserted a few acupuncture needles (maybe 3-4 needles in my foot/ankle area, one on my wrist, and 2-3 on my forehead).
