This has got to be one of the randomest coffee stops I've ever made. I was in San Sebastian trying to bus it back to Bilbao, and I discovered on Google Maps that it would be faster and cheaper to take a bus to Zarautz and then transfer to another bus to Bilbao. I like an adventure, so I looked for a coffee shop in Zarautz and found Native. Arrived to find it was inside a market where it was bustling! Went to the counter to order to discover the barista is from Chicago. Random! We chatted as I waited for my coffee, which was excellent. The people of Zarautz should be stoked to have such a great coffee shop here. Can't imagine I'll ever be in the position to be in this part of the world again. Too bad. read more

Great coffee, homemade pastries, and friendly service in Zarautz's covered farmers market. They're also a trendy breakfast place. It's a real hidden gem and they just opened not too long ago. Good for talking shop or just hanging out. Maybe you'll be lucky enough to try their nitro coffee served from their awesome nitro bike like I did! read more
