I needed to update professional headshots and got the package with makeup (well-worth it and a must-have I think) with Janelle as the make-up artist and Samantha as the photographer- a superstar team. Samantha was excellent, experienced, fast, and knew exactly what would look good on camera and captured everything I could ask for. Janelle did amazing makeup and was exceptional, making me feel very comfortable and listening closely to what I was hoping for and helped a lot with optimal styling of hair, makeup, etc. This is my third time to return to City Headshots...with the first two times working with Martin about 10 years ago. They have been really excellent all three times, and I would definitely go back again. The booking process and early communications are automated and streamlined. In photographs I typically have either RBF or a double chin because I'm usually laughing. I also cringe at the standard posed wedding photography and knew right off the bat that it would be a mission to find a wedding photographer that would be up for the challenge. So if you're like me, you may dread the thought of choosing a wedding photographer. It was by chance that I came across CMP's photographs while browsing on Pinterest. They immediately caught my eye; they were editorial, intimate and full of personality. Bottom line - stunning. Fortunately CMP had one photographer available for our date -- Danny. We lucked out because he is not only extremely talented in his craft, but also a total gem of a person. The photographs from our engagement shoot (WHICH COMES WITH YOUR PACKAGE AND IS AN AMAZING BENEFIT OF CMP'S SERVICES) made it immediately clear that Danny has a superb eye and was able to capture our personality as a couple. I've been non-stop spamming friends and family with our wedding photographs since we've received them; and which Danny delivered in record time. Rented the studio for half/day for a video interview…read more The studio was located on the second-floor walk up. The stage manager was super nice and helped to bring our gear upstairs. All the in-house gear that we requested was accounted for and in great working condition. Good size studio, enough to run a full roll of seamless paper and still have a good distance between lights and subject. Space had all the amenities that you expect at a studio. Bathroom, little kitchen, seating area for the crew, HMU station, gear closets, and relatively tall ceilings too. Be advised, studio A has one structural pillar at 1/3 of the room. but other than that its a pretty good open space if you shuffle your set around. Giving five stars for how accommodating the staff was to make our shoot happen, booked super last minute, had a bunch of changes, but they still made it possible for us. At the most affordable rates in Bushwick!!!

Well, the more I thought about it, the more I realized how much it would mean to me & my overseas family to have a video of the day. So, about 2 months before the wedding I signed a contract with GT Modern Creations with my grandfather's generous & early wedding gift. We 'met' via Skype and from the start I knew they were for us. They are a very popular duo lately and I totally see why. Gabriel was super nice, answered all of my questions and knew exactly what he was doing. Due to distance, we did our final meeting over the phone where he helped me to see that we may not have enough time for pics & to do change the timing to do the first look much earlier. That was one of the best moves we made. The whole day went so much smoother. On the day-of, Gabriel, Caritza and their assistant arrived early and were totally unobtrusive the whole day. They were all so incredibly kind and knew exactly what to do so that we finished on time. They even had us re-do walking over for the first look that way there was no one standing behind & messing up the background. They stayed until the end of the reception and captured everything. Will immediately understood what I meant and is in general a great communicator. It's hard sometimes when you don't have the vocabulary of a professional in the field to describe what exactly you want (witness any bad haircut you've ever had). We shot in several locations and in several lights so that I'd have options appropriate for different uses. I'm using my favorite now as my LinkedIn and Facebook profile photos. I've never gotten so many likes on a Facebook photo--ever. Everyone just howled with excitement. Will made me looks as good as I ever could, but also still like myself. He has a very easy way about him, and I think because he made me feel so comfortable, he was able to record an accurate (but completely flattering) image. I ordered three retouched images because I couldn't choose a favorite they were all so good. I'll be able to use these photos for years. Will has a terrific eye is worth every penny.

Especially since we knew we would be running around and the time would pass by really fast. So we searched all over for photographer/videographers. We saw a sample of Spike's work through a friend's friend and contacted him right away. He was really responsive and transparent. We asked for samples of his work and he delivered. We asked for meetings, he met with us. He had been great throughout. We are an interracial couple so on the wedding day, we did ceremonies from both sides on ONE day. They worked non-stop that day and we really appreciated that. We had a really packed agenda for the ceremonies and the reception. Spike and his team were really patient and kind to everyone. He was also really funny because we're not the best with poses. Because it was wedding season, we didn't get our pictures until a month after but it was okay! We loved the highlight video, the full video, and all the pictures that were taken. We would definitely recommend him to whoever is searching for a photographer/videographer.

On our wedding day, Spike showed up on time, gave great instructions, and answered to our requests/ideas . The photos are a good combination of fun moments, romantic portraits, and friends and family group pic. Spike didn't use the fancy words that other photographers nowadays tend to use, ie storytelling, in marketing. But his photos do just that!
