MOON Recording was insanely influential in helping me develop, mold, and create my first ever album. They helped me take 10 tunes and craft them into a real story, with personality and texture. Their team of experts were thoughtful and supportive and insured I got the album recorded, mixed, and mastered in time for my launch. Thank you MOON for making room for me, you're ALL heroes. Thank you Diego Rodoni for the project management, Josh Liebman for the mixing, and Ray Cetta for music supervising and band leading. Thank you Lane for fitting me into your studio's schedule and making space for my timeline and weirdo artist needs! Moon Studios - Recording & Rehearsal Studios Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

I booked Studio B for my boyfriend to record vocals on instrumentals. We had Jake as our sound engineer/producer & he was amazing. We didn't tell Jake but this was my bf's first time in the studio & yet Jake was still amazing. He threw out bars to say, gave advice to stay on beat, & was encouraging. Even before booking I had great customer service from Diego who helped w the decision of studio A or B. Overall just an amazing experience 10/10. P.S. it was a little hard to find bc on the outside it's just a door that says "Moon". read more

Moon Studios - Jake mixing my next record - Recording & Rehearsal Studios Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

I am officially addicted to recording at this studio. Let me start with the best part. The staff! Lane, John, and Manny are not only super professional and knowledgeable, but they are some of the chillest guys you will ever have the pleasure of working with. Manny and Lane are amazing engineers because they make the creative process fun, positive, and stress free while also providing insight and constructive feedback at perfect times throughout. John is on top of his game in terms of scheduling, and has been very flexible whenever I needed to make changes to my bookings. The rooms and equipment are certainly top notch and state of the art. I've booked time in Studio A and Studio B. Both are comfortable and have all the best tools at your disposal. I always have a group of friends with me when I go, and there is ample room for them to hang out comfortably and enjoy the vibes. The bathrooms are always clean and there is even an outdoor section that is perfect for smoke breaks when a session calls for one! Water, coffee, and tea are available for free which is a nice perk. If you want to create something awesome in a professional, clean, and positive space, then this is the studio you should book. Real talk. read more

I went to the studio over the weekend to record a song with a friend. He is coming out with a new album soon, he goes by the name of Universe. His music is amazing. Lane is such a great person, very sweet, very helpful, and really knows his work. The sound quality in his studio is amazing. I really felt comfortable coming into the studio. I would definitely recommend this place to others, and will definitely be back in the future. read more

Moon Studios - Great set up and equipment. Nice natural lighting from skylight during the day! - Recording & Rehearsal Studios Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

Moon Lab is the best recording studio in New York City. From the moment I went to the website, I knew it was the one. I looked at about 150 different studios online, talked to about 20, visited 10, and I knew from just visiting the website that it was the one. They just have an amazing vibe and you can feel it. On the business side of things, they run everything so incredibly professionally. They are on time. They manage expectations beautifully. You know exactly how much everything will cost upfront. There are no surprises, expect how awesome it is. And the artist side of things -- what can I even say. It's hard to express it, except that it has literally been the highlight of my year. If you want to go to a recording studio that makes you feel happy and good (but without the BS), go here. Every studio in the city has fancy equipment and engineers who know how to record music (including Moon Lab). Nice monitors and expensive microphones are not a selling point anymore -- it's the minimum. Everyone at Moon Lab is wonderful and that's why I love going there. Your music will sound better and it will feel better, and you'll enjoy the entire process. read more

Finding the right recording studio could be a difficult process. My previous studio closed and I was left to search for a studio I could call my recording home. I came across Moon Recording and instantly fell in love. Everything about this place is great, from the professionalism of the staff to the environment to record in. The engineer Manny is amazing and has a great ear for a bunch of different sounds. They offer great prices and even complementary coffee, tea, and sweedish fish!! Definitely recommend recording any project here. Not to mention payments are super easy to do online! read more

Moon Recording is an absolute dream to work with. Of all the studios I reached out to for a quote Moon was the only one to schedule a call to more accurately gauge my needs-- and they had the best price! The entire process from scheduling to recording was so professional. I absolutely recommend that you use Moon Recording. read more

I've been recording/mooching off Lane's hospitality for a good while now, working with him as a musician, engineer, producer, and a friend. Lane puts great care into making sure Moon Lab is equipped with only the highest quality gear, enough to suit the aspiring pop-star to a gear head trying to geek out over preamps. Most importantly, Lane has the musical ear and the tech know-how to really sit down with you and understand your vision, making him a very easy person to work with, and making Moon Lab a very productive place to work. read more

Lane (owner and chief engineer) is the best of the best when it comes to recording, hands down. I first met him when he was hired to record accompaniment tracks for a show I was playing. I generally get nervous in the studio, knowing that every wrong note is time and money lost, but Lane creates an atmosphere that is relaxed, fun, creative, and with supreme expertise. The finished product, and the time it took him to complete it all, was remarkable. I've already got two more jobs I'm sending his way because better doesn't exist. (And he's affordable, too!) read more

Unfortunately there is no such availability to book per hour like it was mentioned in the other reviews and prices are much more higher than it was stated in the other reviews. Such a pitty read more

I recently booked a recording session with John in Studio B to track violin for my new project. From start to finish, the session was fantastic. Both John and Lane are communicative and easy to work with, and are focused on delivering quality music in a professional, yet casual, atmosphere. I would recommend this studio to anyone and everyone, for their services are varied and their experience vast; you can't go wrong with MOON LAB!! Thanks guys, I'll be back. read more

Wow! Had a session with John, Lane & Manny the other day at Moon Lab and upon leaving felt extreme elation from the work that was accomplished. Great guys- each of them made me feel comfortable and at ease while recording my acoustic guitar and vocals. I was looking for a crisp, clean recording and I got exactly that & more. I will certainly be returning in the future with new projects- can't beat quality like this for the price! read more

I visited Moon Lab Studios and did not get a good impression of the studio. The rates are a bit high for me and most recordings now-a-days can be done with gear that can be bought for a home recording studio. I did, however, like how it would be possible to record drums and percussive instruments. Lane is a very reasonable guy, however, he came off as being a bit aggressive and self consumed, sometimes hard to reason with him. The atmosphere is great but I would not be returning here again. read more
