This company is terrible!!! My Condo building had a fire in it and everyone in the building had to…read moremove out for close to 1 year. Unfortunately the Condo association hired Lydale as the Contractor of the Building to restore the common areas and the most of the units. In my case I installed a brand new wood laminate flooring in my suite and before I even moved in, contracted workers from Lydale scratched large areas in my floor. I had to pay for the flooring and installation up front. Then they refused to repair the flooring. They kept sending up a worker to try and hand polish out the scratches with a solution used on boats. I had my own independent flooring contractor who's been in the business 40 yrs come and look at the floor, and it needs to be replaced as these scratches cannot be buffed or polished out. After 4 months of asking, pleading for them to repair the flooring I had to do this on my own, and out of my own pocket. Lydale basically took my money and ran. There are several other people in my building that also had nightmare experiences with them. I would never recomend this business to anyone, ever!

Belfor was brought in to clean up after a small flood, they did the demolition portion missing scope in the process.....working with crews that show up late if at all....then take more breaks than work...but they do not care as that portion is a lump sum....they work very rough and damage things which they take no accountability for....even though the project manager at the time "promised" to make everything good that was pointed out to them... could not rate them any lower....BEWARE

My experience was terrible. My basement was flooded due to a neighbors frozen pipes. They were the…read morecompany used through my insurance company. The project manager blatantly has lied about things that happened. And he tried to blame me for things they agreed to do and chose to do on their own. He chose to upgrade my flooring without my knowledge and then threw that in my face. He agreed to do some of the painting in a different color (which I bought the paint for) and then when the painter made mistakes (for example painting over top of pieces of tape), he blamed me! The painters made a lot of errors with all the colors of paint but somehow doing one special color made all these errors my fault. I found out he lied to the insurance company claiming they painted the bathroom trim as a favour, again another lie. They had to replace part of the trim which meant the whole trim had to be repainted. The painter OFFERED to paint it with the paint that I bought (even though I said I would do it) and they did a terrible job painting so now he is lying to the insurance company to cover his butt. When they redid the floor, they had to move my freezer and when they put it back it was not closed properly and all the food defrosted and there was water all over the new floor. Then the flooring person said he didn't move the freezer, well you cannot do flooring under a freezer without moving it. There were so many things that went wrong. When dealing with a flood, it is stressful enough and then the contractor is bad makes it worse. I submitted my issues in the survey they sent me and not one person even contacted me to apologize or anything. I honestly think they believe I am lying and the problem! I don't deny was a control freak because I have dealt with these companies before and never goes well. On-Side did a restoration once before in my house and it was terrible then, I was reassured it would be better...it really wasn't! I would never recommend them.

Mario was so receptive and responsive to what I was looking for in terms of the painting through much of my main floor. He went above and beyond with a number of things (repairing extra holes, corners, taking off vestiges of wallpaper, last minute added requests, etc..) and took such care to ensure the job was done exceptionally well and that I was satisfied with the final product, before he left. They were very efficient and his rates are very reasonable. The Tecnician they…read moresent over was experienced and knowledgeable, although he did nothing but grumble and complain about how dirty it was- I told him that if was easy I would have rented a carpet cleaner at Safeway and done it myself for 1/6 the price. He was there an hour and a half and a sizeable living room and 2 smallish bedrooms were done for about 160. It had several small dark stains- paint drops and wax that I didn't expect to come out, but one lighter organic stain was still there when he left, and I was able to lighten it further with not much more than hot water and a towel. I think he got a bit lazy at the end as I had to leave for a bit. All I expect is do your best.
