Misrepresented Service & Poor Handling of Feedback I booked this company for a post-construction clean and paid nearly $800, expecting a thorough job aligned with that level of service. What I received was a basic clean: visible dust was left behind, a ceiling fan and open vents weren't touched, and no deep work was done in the bathrooms, which had brand-new fixtures and required only light wiping. The cleaners arrived late in the day (after 4 PM) and worked for about 2.5-3 hours. I was present for the walkthrough, but due to the late finish, I didn't have the time or energy to inspect everything in detail. After a closer look the following day, I noticed multiple missed areas and contacted the company within 48 hours. I tried to communicate clearly that my concern wasn't just a few missed spots--it was that the home didn't require a post-construction clean, and the work done didn't justify the price charged. Despite this, the company's responses repeatedly sidestepped that point. Instead, they offered a $75 "goodwill" refund (not acknowledging any fault), and only after several follow-ups increased it to $150. I accepted that amount to move on, not because it was fair compensation. They also offered a re-clean, which I declined. By that point, the home was no longer empty, and my confidence in their quality had been lost. What bothered me most was how they publicly responded to my review--claiming I "threatened" them with a bad review, when I had simply stated that I would share my honest experience if no resolution was reached. They even quoted part of my message out of context to justify that claim. Then, my review was removed altogether. This company positions itself as professional and responsive, but my experience was the opposite. Poor communication, lack of accountability, and dismissive handling of valid feedback. I will be clear that the only thing I wasn't extremely pleased about was the result of kitchen and bathroom floors. Everything else was very well done and thoroughly cleaned. They cleaned the walls very nicely, the bathroom is beautiful and kitchen and appliances came out amazing as well as the cupboards and drawers. I would recommend not rushing through the final walk through and if you see something you don't like something to tell them and have them re do it. They offered to come back again and clean the floors if I wanted but I declined. The offer was there. I had originally made it clear that I wasn't too too picky about the state of the house as it's a rental and that I didn't need to see my reflection in the floors. However, in my book, to my standards, that still doesn't mean I want to the floors the have visible dirt on it. Either way, overall it was a good service. The man who came to the house was nice. I initially contacted several cleaning companies to get quotes. The Duty Cleaning gave me the best quote very fair too the size of home to be cleaned. I was very satisfied with their service and now I have booked for their service for once a month service. Very clean, with much attention to details and reasonable price. read more

****Update: After much back and forth, their resolution for this entire situation was to offer me $100 off with the exception that I remove my reviews. .... As a person who frequently reads reviews, I find that keeping this review up is worth more than the $100 they bribed me with. Always double/triple check the businesses you chose to hire !!!! - They also had my Google Review publicly removed. Terrible service. ****BEWARE**** I originally planned on hiring a cleaning service for a house that I am renting out when my tenants moved out. I chose the "Move In/Move Out" service which provides everything from cleaning the cupboards to vacuuming the carpets. I thought this would be perfect, as the house is completely empty, therefore; it shouldn't be too difficult to clean. Once the cleaners got there, I got a call saying they would have to charge me $450.00 for them to clean the house ($150.00 more than I was originally quoted). They did so demeaningly. They chose unnecessary words such as "filthy," which I would not expect from a "professional" house cleaning company. The reason why I hired a third party cleaning company was to avoid the embarrassment of the condition of the home. I hired them for the sole purpose to clean, not "tidy." Despite them demeaning the cleanliness of the house, I chose not to argue and I agreed and had them bill me the updated amount. I just wanted to get the house clean as soon as possible. Later I got a call that they were "all finished." Once I came to the house, I seen that the carpets were not at all touched. Not even attempted. Even though they had assured me the house was "finished." When I reached out to the company, the assured me that the cleaners "vacuumed as much as possible regardless of them being dirty and picked up as much as they can off the carpets with their hands." (Please see photos to show that they weren't not at all attempted.) I sent them two emails letting them know my concerns of the carpets, however, they assured me that the cleaners had vacuumed the carpet and continued to disclose the dirtiness of the home (which had nothing to do with my major concern: the carpets). So the second email of them not assisting me with my concerns, I had to physically go into the home and vacuum myself to prove that they had not been touched. I sent them before and after photos and videos of me vacuuming them. This did not take me long and I used a regular Shark Vacuum. This got most of everything off the carpets. (I was told they had a top of the line Dyson vacuum which could not get anything off the carpets...). Once they received the email with the before and after photos they told me that the photos "helped them understand the situation much better" and wanted to call me to discuss further. Once they called me, I received more demeaning service, even after I told them how disappointed and upset I was over how this had to be handled. This was after the fact I received emails from them already assuring me that they "vacuumed as much as possible regardless of them being dirty and picked up as much as they can off the carpets with their hands." Which are blatant lies as shown in the photos. The carpets are untouched without any sign of vacuum or human pickup. I had to take time out of my day to email photo and video evidence that the vacuuming services were not complete. After everything, I have no choice but to give a 0-star rating. I absolutely cannot recommend to anyone. Truly unsure why I had such terrible service. It does not make sense, as I tried to work with the company even after being quoted $150.00 more and also after trying to work with them by sending them two emails to let them know I was unsatisfied with the carpets. It was only after I showed photo and video proof were they serious about helping me, which even then they resisted from doing so. I was left with the full charge of $450.00 + GST over a service that was not complete (see photos). The fact that I was lied to and demeaned over the condition of the house was not at all I expected from a house cleaning service. I have various pictures and videos showing evidence of a service that was assured to me to be completed but was not at all touched. I was blatantly lied to, demeaned, and made out to seem like it was my fault for not making aware of the dirtiness of the home. It's completely unbelievable to me that I was charged this much money and was being blatantly lied to and demeaned. This has been extremely unpleasant to deal with and when offered my concern with how everything was handled, they continued to make it as though it was my fault. I've hired cheap move out cleaners in the past who would miss spots, clean slowly and add on surprise costs, but Duty Cleaners did not pull any of that and was true to their word. The 2 ladies that came to do a move-out cleaning of my mother-in-law's townhouse did a tremendous amount of work in a short time. It was a giant mess to start with, but the ladies were very detail oriented, and i was very pleased with the results.
