As soon as I didn't receive, inventory i knew they were a fraud, I have reported to law enforcement and the credit card company is investigating. They don't want to agree to a do not exceed limit either. They have 2 fifteenth addresses, The binding contract is not binding. FRAUD. FRAUD. FRAUD. Not only did we pay them $7,500 for nothing .... they have been unhelpful. rude. and lied to our faces over and over again. We have been told every day since 7/26 our items would be there. EVERY DAY it changes. They will not tell us where our belongings are. We've asked for proof that they still have them. We were told Amerisafe would send 7 to 8 packers and give us 5 star packing/moving. LIES. Everything out of any one at Amerisafe's mouths has been lies. They read from scripts to avoid any liability. Half our stuff is broken. When the movers came, they said we have to pay them directly not Amerisafe, so our move went from $10,000 to $18,000 and we STILL do not have our second truck with over $100,000 of household goods in it. Here is the review for the company they HIRED to move us. I've also attached conversations with S&DJ Moving LLC and Veronika at Amerisafe who TOLD me in WRITING they would rectify the issue because S&DJ Moving LLC broke their written contract by writing guaranteed delivery by July 26, 2024. On August 4th, Veronika at Amerisafe called my husband, after he kindly called the emergency line for information, and YELLED at him. We have been blocked and not responded to in a timely and adequate fashion (lack of information and deceptive timing) about when our items are going to be delivered. Our Bill Of Lading says Guaranteed Delivery 7/26. As you can see in the picture, this company was MEEG Moving LLC, which went bankrupt. It was then re-incorporated under S&DJ Moving LLC. Attached is the picture. On 7/26 we inquired where our delivery was. We were then told it would be delivered latest Tuesday 7/30 because they needed a semi-truck to deliver our goods. One of two trucks showed up Tuesday morning. LOTs of things broken. Missing pieces to furniture delivered. THEN we were told no more semi truck. Zero communication about our items being put in storage. On 7/30 we were told the 2nd truck was following right behind and would arrive the next day. It never showed. We were told it had "mechanical issues" and was 180 miles from delivery point. My husband, Ben, asked to rent a truck and get our things so he could get back to his wife and daughter on family vacation. They told us that is not allowed. They needed to rent a new truck. On Saturday 8/3, they said they got a new truck and it would be delivered between 6 and 7 pm and it was only 2:45 hours from our new house. At 9 pm on 8/3, we still had zero communication since 9:44 am. My husband reached out kindly asking for updates. INSTEAD he got a call where Stephan - the owner - yelled at him for calling the business and inquiring where our items were. Zero help was provided. At 10:58 PM, Stephan responded the movers have 3 more things to load in the morning. He would not provide a picture of proof that our items were safe and actually on the way. As you can imagine, when lied to multiple times, any normal person would ask for proof. It is now 8/4 1:00 PM and the only response we got was "driver will call from St. Louis area code." They have failed to provide us any certainty that they are actually on the way to deliver our items. We get excuse after excuse. Now my husband has missed 8 days with his family on vacation. We would be willing to fix this 1/5 star review if we can get a nice, polite call from the company. We'd also like a picture of our items ON their way to our house. We cannot imagine that any human running a business where they want to succeed would have such bad customer service, lie to us about our items on the way and yell at customers. At the end of this - We will have paid this company OVER $12,000 for our items. We have been lied to. Our stuff is broken. Yelled at. The list could go on. I hired them 4 n half yrs ago a yr later still didn't get my stuff and everyone I talked to said there was a one year limit to complain ,so that time was over.asked for a refund during that time and it never came either ( was supposed to be 7-10 days ) so after paying $220 a mth for the storage fee for 11 mths couldn't afford it anymore and was forced to give it up. THEY ARE A BROKER - DO NOT GET SCAMMED INTO USING THEM... They subcontract the actual work. See below for the entire experience. Quite possibly the rudest and most unethical company that I have ever worked with in my entire life. They gave the quote. The guy said "best to over estimate size and weight to be sure the truck is large enough and your cost will be better calculated when the movers are there and it will be lower. TOTAL BS. I gave the guy a huge estimate on the size of my house. He kept reassuring me that it was best to over estimate. Yeah... no such luck. The truck that arrived BARELY fit all of my stuff, and they ended up charging me THOUSANDS of dollars more than what they quoted me. The movers show up a day late. Then they tell me they won't be able to finish in a day which was unacceptable because I had a flight to catch the next morning. It took me hours on the phone and practically standing in front of their truck to get them to do the job and get it done right. Here's the kicker and what totally made it all make sense. The deposit that I gave the was paid via credit card. The second deposit that had to be paid when the movers showed up that was paid was via credit card. So clearly they have the ability to get paid via credit. The final payment when the movers arrived at my new home had to be paid in cash. It's 2022... What kind of business requires thousands of dollars to be paid in cask. SHADY ONES THAT KNOW YOUR CREDIT CARD CHARGES CAN BE DISPUTED. Such scammers. BEWARE! They change their name every few weeks... started out Nationwide Moving Service in May when we signed, became National Moving Services in July when they finally delivered our belongings, then we were told they went under Amerisafe Moving in August (we called about our credit we were promised) ... the story is the worst... In May we called for a quote, they did it by phone We were moving from SWFL to coastal South Carolina, and transporting 2 cars. We asked if they subcontracted, they told us no, their employees did the moving and trucking. We requested our belongings be the only ones being transported on the truck, they said couldn't guarantee it, but they would try. We settled on the date June 15th, at a cost of $3000 for household possessions, and $1300 for the 2 cars. We made hotel reservations 4 hours away based on the estimated time of arrival they gave us, mid morning. When they arrived at 3 pm the moving van looked like it had been through a war zone. Pic attached. It took an hour for them to start because they wouldn't take our bank cashier check at first, then They said it would take 6 hours, but it took 9 for them to wrap a few pieces of furniture and pack the van with the furniture and boxes. The price went up another $4100 because they underestimated the cubic feet. We still had to drive 4 hours when they were done at midnight. They said we should have our belongings 3 days later (Sunday). After several calls, with them telling us the van was parked in Miami for days on end, or they were waiting for more loads coming our way, then they said everything had been unloaded into a warehouse waiting for a van ... they arrived 17 days later, July 3rd. They had 2 other loads on the vans besides ours. They had called the week before saying they were in the area and could be here June 27 in the morning, which turned into 3pm, which turned into 7pm, which finally became 9 pm. We said no, it would disrupt our neighbors at that hour. The driver agreed and apologized. They said we'd have to wait several more days. In the drivers defense, he was subcontracted, was being instructed by Nationwide/ National. His company was Easy Road Moving. Our only complaint was that they scratched our immaculate wood floors by scraping a nail on the bottom of a piece of furniture, twice. The cars were delivered to SC the next day, after the driver said we weren't charged the right amount. He was a subcontractor. He wanted an extra $100, and Nationwide/ National said they would correct it and send us a check for the difference. It never arrived after several calls over the next 2 months. After the unloading, we began to unpack. Over the next few weeks We found many boxes crushed, several items were broken. Pictures were damaged, all were packed very well. They had piled everything to the top of the van. And it leaked, many boxes were water damaged and the contents smelled bad. Sorry we are late with this review, but they kept our credit card info that they insisted on having, and we ended up closing that card and getting a new one. All three movers came in and did not want to move all of the items that were listed on the contract. They wanted $7,000.00 more before taking anything out of the house. They only took a few boxes and did not show up to the other destination until 2 and a half weeks later. When one mover came, he was not able to bring every boxes to the door, which we had to take them and move it to the garage in a separate small car. Before moving the boxes he wanted the payment before taking it off the truck. Overall the movers were not friendly and several calls to the company were not returned or answered. Paula was the only one that received our call, but never returned our calls. Don't use them unless you get to honor the contract without the surprise of extra monies. read more

They are out and out liars. I was assured several times that they would be acting as a carrier, not a broker for my move. Many other promises about how things would be packed (by THEIR highly trained and vetted employees), delivery timelines, etc. As soon as I signed on the dotted line, they sold my contract to some unknown company. I was unaware of what transpired until the new company contacted me with 12 hour's pickup notice (I was promised a 24-48 hour notice of pickup) that they would be the ones moving me, NOT Nationwide, with an unknown delivery timeline (at least 14 days, when I was assured a 5-6 day timeframe). DO NOT BELIEVE ANYTHING THEY TELL YOU. They'll lie through their teeth just to get you to give them a deposit (their broker fee), and leave you hanging expecting a move, with little to no recourse to get your deposit back to hire a reputable mover. Understand, these guys are just brokers, not a moving company. They ask what you're moving, give you a lowball quote to get their commission and when the "real" movers show up, they give the real fee, usually 1/3 more. I was told by Kyle that they would deliver on a specific date. I even called back TWICE to reconfirm. We needed a specific COI and Nationwide farmed out the move to them. I called to get the COI changed and spoke with their operations people. They told me that there are no specific dates for delivery. They could take weeks to deliver. I called back to Nationwide and again I was lied to. To top all this off the company they farmed me out to had horrible review and a nasty DOT records. Shortly after the call I sent in my cancelation. I received a call from the sales manager begging for me to not cancel. He said give me 30 minutes to fix this. I said go ahead ... an HOUR later he calls back with a fix. He was now going to put us with the world's best mover. They actually moved Steve Wynn from Nevada to Florida! I took the information and told him I would get back to him. I did my research and i sent in a second confirmation of my cancelation and I asked for a full refund due to the lies this company told me. NO REFUND was ever made. Today I received a call from a moving company saying they are picking up tomorrow. I asked who they were and was told xyz moving (not the same company the sales manager advised he was going to put us with - again another lie to keep our money). So I told them we canceled. About an hour later Nationwide calls me to "clear up the confusion". I was not happy at this point and told her I canceled weeks ago. She told me I am still on the book for a move. I was then told to send in my cancelation notice. I was so so upset about this and I explained to her I canceled in the first 48 hours and I spoke with Kyle and the sales manager. She said she would look into and speak with someone in billing for a refund. I received an email saying they will keep 4% of the deposit. I reached back out and they replied that this was part of the contract I signed. I asked about the verbal delivery schedule that I was provided? I went over the lies that we were told and how we learned about them. How we called back twice to confirm the delivery date for our move. As of now, I am being ignored by them at this point and I have no refund. Do your homework. Ready the contract and if they tell you anything different it's a lie. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS! SCAM ARTISTS I WISH I WOULD HAVE READ THESE BEFORE BOOKING! Zero stars but it made me pick one to post. I have NEVER dealt with such a sleazy, scamming company in all my life and looking at other reviews I'm not the only one with this story. I have already filed a complaint with the BBB but in the meanwhile I don't want anyone to have to go through what my husband and I have. The original estimate was quoted at 551 cubic ft after confirming number/size of items on 3 separate calls and multiple emails. On the day of the move we were charged an additional 600cubic ft and we were told about this once all of our items were already on the truck. We paid DOUBLE from the original quote. We immediately called customer service to complain (while the movers were still there, but this was Sunday so no one actually to speak to) and were told that a note would be made on our account about it and someone would contact us the next day. Mind you we were then stuck with the contracted company (beware you won't get the nationwide movers you think you're booking) and our whole lives on their truck already at this point. The photos attached are of the truck once completely loaded and it was much less than even half way full, for a truck that could hold 1600cubic feet total packed to the brim. We lived in a completely furnished house so had very few items. We also had additional charges of $400 for "bulky" items listed as our peloton bike. However, this peloton bike was on our original estimate so the movers the day of took the liberty to call this a bulky item and charge more. When we spoke to the supervisor of Nationwide she claimed "well they come in different sizes", we all know they absolutely do not. There were also multiple broken items which included; the base of our flat screen TV (the mover chose to not remove the legs prior to wrapping with tape so broke the leg in half before even leaving our bedroom), our large armoire they chose to flip/roll to move instead of picking it up and slammed it down on its side on a downhill two steps down from our porch to the concrete driveway cracking one of the legs, 4 wine glasses we had just gotten as wedding gifts, and the framing of a painting. The most upsetting event that occurred during our move one of the movers was SMOKING IN OUR TRUCK WITH ALL OF OUR THINGS, which has resulted in our clothes and couch reeking of smoke. We are not a smoking household and it was completely disrespectful of our items. Finally, we were charged an additional $1000 dollars for an expedited move on the morning of our move, which as you can clearly see from the emails from a nationwide employee, Brandon states this was included in the estimate--we had confirmed this on 3 separate occasions with him and another employee who helped with the estimate. We contacted customer service on Monday 8/29 after not receiving the call we were supposed to from the previous day and they stated they could see the notation on our account and they would have a supervisor give us a call that day. Multiple days went by, no call. We called again and the secretary stated the supervisor was swamped with calls and she would leave a post it note but that we would receive a call by end of business day. Eight days later we finally spoke to a supervisor, Aidan, who we sent all of our pictures and information to. Two days later she tells us that we signed the paperwork and she can tell nothing by the photos we sent and Brandon "shouldn't have told us that it was included in the quote" but again there was nothing she could do about it. After yelling on the phone saying the only person higher than her was the owner of the company and she doesn't know what we expect her to do about it because she wasn't there and "it is what it is" she said she could offer us $200 HOWEVER this is with the caveat that we would require signing a waiver to not enforce legal action for what occurred, otherwise we should seek legal counsel against the contracted carrier. read more

this is called National Moving Services now and has a 4-star review on the internet (probably paid for) but is the same as Nationwide Moving Services!!! It's a broker company and a scam!!! I would rather be robbed at gunpoint rather than robbed by what they did to me. The broker company they used was Cobra Van Lines and also so horrible. Please for the love of god do not use this company. If I was wealthier, I'd sue them for the way that they treated me. They were insanely unprofessional and rude and impossible to contact. I was moving from FL to PA for school. I was only contacted about pick-up and delivery of my items 16 hours in advance which is absolutely not acceptable since I had to plan when to empty my old apartment and when to arrive at my new (empty) apartment. They arrived a day later than promised without letting me know until 16 hours beforehand (they assured me they'd let me know 2-4 days beforehand but then no one picked up my calls). Upon pick-up, charged an extra $800 (despite being late and forcing me to work harder to clean the apartment before my lease was up) for hidden fees. Upon delivery, they kept changing the date of delivery 6-16 hours beforehand (keep in mind I had to CANCEL my flight in because they expected me to WAIT IN AN EMPTY APARTMENT FOR 30 DAYS TIL THEY DELIVER -- my furniture has been sitting in a warehouse near my Florida apartment for 1.5 weeks). Then when they finally arrived, they charged an extra hidden fee for a "shuttle service" that no one agreed to. And then more for elevators etc -- in the end I paid over twice as much as expected. I signed the contract for $1850 and ended up paying well over $4000. For the extremely rude customer service (especially Heidi at CobraVan lines and Jennifer at National Moving Services) and hidden fees and late delivery/pick up, this has been the worst moving experience of my life. And I hired them to make it easier. I wish I just packed my stuff up myself, so please save your money and go somewhere else. This review is about an experience my mom had with this company. I was involved in the process with her, so I can fully verify everything . This company stole nearly $4,000 from me and provided nothing in return except stress, hassle, and aggravation. I found them online, thinking they were a trustworthy moving company with thousands of 5-star reviews (I later found out the reviews were on a fake advertising site paid for by the companies they represent). The company convinced me to give them a huge deposit of nearly $4k, which was almost equal to the total cost of the move they quoted me. After signing their contract (which had all sorts of sketchy fine print that I didn't catch initially), they began treating me terribly as a customer. For example, I told them I had a few extra pieces of furniture to add to the move, and they nearly doubled the moving cost estimate. I then had a bad fall a week before my scheduled move and broke my wrist. The company was totally un-empathetic when I told them about the situation. They wanted to charge me a huge fee (on top of my deposit) for rescheduling my move and told me I couldn't back out of the contract after my bad experiences with them. My son called after this, and they were extremely rude to him, also. After all this, we researched the company more and learned they had thousands of terrible reviews online. We called again and asked to be refunded for our deposit, and they told us we couldn't get any money back and that if we tried to cancel our credit card (from which the deposit was sent), they'd come after us with a lawyer. Currently, they have all the deposit money and won't give any of it back. They have provided us with no actual service and have no way to justify taking close to $4k from us. Nationwide Moving and storage is the worst company I have tried to do business with. They don't move a thing they will tell you they do, charge you for what you want moved, then call you shortly before your move date and try to upcharge you for the quantity of goods you want moved. Then they job your move out to whoever they can find that will charge them less than they charge you. You have no choice in who they contract your move to. In my move they used a company that had terrible reviews, and when I canceled that move they would not refund my deposit. It's insane how bad of a moving company this is. BUYER BEWARE. My parents were quoted ~ 2000 dollars to move from Chicago to Georgia. The move cost over 4000. They lost pieces of the bed (unusable) they broke the dresser (unusable). They lost our tv. I'm so thankful they somehow managed to have all our boxes because they had photo albums. The price they quote you is not what you will pay. We even took out an entire bedroom of furniture to get them to lower the price. They did not even come close to the 2000 something they promised They will quote you a low rate, come to load your stuff, increase the rate. You are stuck because you are moving and you have to either pay extra to unload the stuff from the truck or pay extra to move. Either way know that what you pay will be about 2000 more than what you are quoted. Expect broken and missing items. Do not trust them to move anything special photo albums etc. We filled out the claim. the claim requires you to get the final letter NOTARIZED. We got 50 dollars back in our claims for at least 1000 dollars of missing and broken furniture. It's sad this company even exists. It's a complete scam. I've never been scammed so bad. read more

Never do business with a mover that asks for money upfront. Legitimate movers never will. Never do business with a mover that doesn't come to your home to make the quote and give you a "not to exceed" price. Legitimate movers will come to home and give a "not to exceed" price. Never do business with a moving broker. They can outsource your move to anybody. Could be a small, an incompetent and/or an unreliable mover. Nationwide moving taught me these three lessons the hard way. I was forced to cancel my move with Nationwide and, of course, they kept my $3300 deposit. Nationwide IS NOT a moving company but rather a Moving Broker. I did not understand this but I sure learned after it was too late. After I paid my $3300 upfront deposit they outsourced my move to what they even called "a mom and pop shop" out-of-state mover. Unfortunately I had a hard closing date on the sale of my house and valuable furniture and could risk it all to an outsourced mom-pop-shop. I was therefore forced to cancel with Nationwide and go with a legitimate mover. Of course Nationwide wouldn't give me my $3300 back. Shame on me for not doing more research on Nationwide and not know how to read a bill-of-lading. Shame on Nationwide for not being upfront and walking me through what I was agreeing to. Lying by omission is still a lie. Avoid this company at all costs. Don't believe anything they tell you. Pay more and use a legitimate mover. Please learn from my mistake. read more

We were promised excellent service in our full service move, but they treated our stuff like trash. It literally looks like they played football with our boxes. Almost every item/box was either crushed, damaged, scratched, or totally broken. Our new TV (a year old) was packaged by the movers and arrived with the screen completely cracked and they are giving us less than $100 to pay for it. When I told our representatives about the damage, they didn't even seem surprised, which leads me to believe this happens often. Once they set you up with the moving company you do not hear another peep from them. If I could give a zero on the rating scale I would. This company came to my home, loaded my furniture furnishings and all of my keepsakes electronics etc and they were to be stored until I found a place to rent. Then after speaking with the company a couple of times in December 2018, each person I spoke with said that they would call me back the next day with the information. The next day never came and then the number was disconnected. I have no idea how someone goes about and gets their material belongings back from a shyster company like this. The two men that were doing the packing and loading, kept following me around my house and telling me they needed $200 each as a tip for dinner that evening. I had 2 mild seizures while they were in my home and I do vaguely remember one of them stepping over me as I was on the floor with a seizure. I am so angry at the lies that I was told in 2018 by just about everyone I spoke to, including family members who kept secrets from me that would have made all the difference in them manner in which I moved. but I'm sick over all of the things including my grandchildren's art and school work but they had collected over the past up to 15 years in school. Nationwide movers are just a broker company that highers some other copany to move your stuff and that company highers a trucker/transporter to drive your stuff to your new house. Glad ill never move again but id never use or refer anyone to them. They did not disclose any of that when talking to them. Then the estimate from nationwide is no where near what the movers actually charge you. Ended up paying an insane amount of money. read more

Do not use these movers. If you do, definitely get the insurance although I can't say whether or not they would pay. The amount of breakage of furniture that they packed was terrible. Note that they moved and/or repacked the items twice after I saw the van moved. So it doesn't matter if you check to see if they pack carefully because the next guys to pack/move will do a terrible job. Virtually every chair that was moved was broken. They put a glass dresser top on the ground and it shattered. Boxes that were carefully packed looked like they had been thrown off of the truck. Just awful. read more

Zero stars!!!!! BEWARE SCAM/CON. Our experience of being conned and scammed is apparently very common in the moving business. You will be dealing with 3-4 different individuals who are trying to con and scam you.. They do not respond to calls, nor do they update you. We received a quote for $1800 for all our items which was supposed to be 20 large boxes, couch, tv, tv stand, mattress.. We were ensured that all our items will be taken. In reality, we had less items than listed; only having 2-3 large boxes and the rest small to medium-sized boxes, which was around 15 boxes. The services we initially agreed to was that the movers would pack and bring down our items; $75 per flight of stairs and our elevator is broken and we live on the 5th floor. My husband and his friends did 90% of the job seeing as our driver was 3 hours late, and we wanted to expedite things because we made special arrangements based on the arrival time they gave us. The driver finally comes 3 hours passed the "estimated time frame" the company gave us which was Sunday evening around 7pm [all other moving services and storage facilities are closed]. He walks around the 1 bedroom apartment and tells me its going to be $800 and we need to cashap, venmo, or paypal. I declined telling him I needed an invoice or itemized receipt of services. My husband finally arrives, and then the driver increases the price and says $5000. I lose it at this point and ask him how on earth did he go from $800 to $5000?!?!?? He gives us another number... this time $3000. At this point, given three drastically different numbers, we realized that this company isn't legitimate and the driver is trying to profit off of us. This company hires and employs people who will try to scam you. These numbers were completely arbitrary, and the driver nor his "supervisor," who we got on the phone, could not explain the charge or estimate. We told them to get lost and disputed the deposit with our credit card. We waited all day for them in the freezing cold just so they could price gouge us. We don't take to being exploited and taken advantage of, and we don't want others either!!!! read more

Charged $3200 more than quoted, even after a detailed moving list. The carrier they subcontract with doesn't do anything that was promised - packing was terrible, and even when being told to not take some items because I didn't have $3200 more to pay, they packed it all anyway and then said it was too far in the truck to remove. Stuff was actually STRAPPED to the outside of the truck in the elements when they left!!!! Packing materials that were paid for were not provided, and items not even marked as to which room they go to when delivered, even though I paid for the packing service. Tons of damage to items that were not packed correctly, and when you call Nationwide - all they do is have you call the carrier! It doesn't matter that they underquoted, made up services that would be provided, etc - because they are NOT the carrier. Then, salt in the wound was one day before deliver they called and asked for an additional $3000 - for a shuttle service to get the stuff to my new house. This was NOT included in the quote and they threatened to put my stuff in storage and hold it hostage until I paid the additional. That is $6200 OVER what was quoted. Luckily, I have a lawyer who sent them a nasty letter demanding to release my personal property and they complied finally. It added so much stress to an already stressful time, and was a complete scam. Alot of damaged items not repairable, and not easy to make a claim or get any money for it. We scheduled a move from NY to SF. They got us committed with reasonably lower price compared to their competitors. Once they were at site, they increased the price significantly stating the items were bigger in size than they expected, even though the number of items was fewer than we had initially indicated and we had clearly indicated the sizes. Finally when the items were at the destination, they quoted an additional $500. When we asked about this and about the overall markedly increased price of the entire move (almost twice what was originally quoted) to better understand what drove the difference, one of their contractors called and threatened us saying if we did not pay up in 5 minutes, they would take the items to an auction house and 'destroy our credit score' (and more). These are by far the rudest and most unethical people we have come across in our lives. And after all payments were complete, they dumped the shipment in the apartment without re-installing the items as agreed in the contract. We were told that another group would come for the installation- that was two weeks ago. Nobody has shown up yet. I called and discussed this with the customer service agent and no action has been taken so far. I am left thinking that this a bunch of crooks and I strongly suggest not to use their services. read more

Let me start by saying that before I would use this company again, I would sooner carry my belongings on my back. It turns out that I am not as smart as I gave myself credit for. Nationwide scammed us big time! When I first called Nationwide, I was connected to Ron . I compared Nationwide to a well known moving service and I signed with Nationwide because the price was better than the other company quoted. Repeatedly, I questioned Ron as to whether or not Nationwide was a broker. Each time, Ron repeated that they were not a broker and that my price quoted would never be higher than this quote. He did mention that the truck would not have a name on it. When I questioned this, I was given responses from Ron that they are not brokers, but not to panic when the truck came, because they use these people all the time and I should know that the truck would come in an unmarked vehicle and I shouldn't panic when they arrived. Well, they arrived alright and immediately asked us for another $4000+. On a good day, I would have been on the phone with Nationwide and Ron immediately. However, I did not have the time to do anything because the closing of my home was scheduled for the same day. I had no option to lose time because I had to leave the house. The actual movers even felt bad when he found out that we were scammed. He ended up giving us a very small break, which was better than nothing. When they left, I called Nationwide and they attempted to connect me with Ron, who for some strange reason, didn't answer his phone. I left a message for him which made it crystal clear how I felt about him. I never heard from him again. When my belongings arrived at my storage unit, I saw that one of my dining room chairs and at least one glass shelf from by hutch were broken. Only God knows what else is broken in there, but I won't know until it is all removed and brought to its final destination. I would urge anyone not to use this company ever. Not only are we out over $4000, but this has taught me a harsh lesson. I will never trust any business again; an expensive lesson to have learned at my age. Save your money, save your time and mostly, save yourself a lot of aggravation. As for Ron, I love Karma and I hope with all my heart that it catches up to him. read more

Avoid this company, it's a scam. They quoted us around $6,500 for our move, I offered to provide measurements of all items and/or a video chat to show everything we had and size, and they declined. Then, on the moving day (the last day of our lease), a different company showed up and quoted us at $15,000, and there was nothing we could do. Nationwide is the broker, not the moving company, and their quote means nothing and any promises they make, in writing or on the phone, are BS.
