I walked inside the store asking if he could come out and take a look at my tire, get a second opinion if it was driveable or not. After a few minutes of repeating myself and pointing outside where my car was and pointing back at the surveillance camera, he understood it as I needed the air turned on and he did just that, flipped the switch. With his thick Indian accent he also kept repeating "no mechanic today". I also kept telling him I wasn't looking for a damn mechanic. So I go back to my car, hoping another citizen would come by. It was slow that morning. The cashier comes out to survey my car, but doesn't even come near when I motion for him to help my way. His dad or something is nearby and he is just sending glances in my direction. Another minority parks next to me to get some air in his tires. When asked, he was able to give a quick glance at my front tire and concludes that my tire was ok and safe to drive to dealership (and he was right!). Whoever this stranger was, he came at the right time and place. I am grateful. Great corner location and a couple of exits from the 101 freeway off Matilda and San Aleso. But the sour experience or lack of customer service had this day, dampens what could've been a positive review. Then again, there's a reason why I'm a loyal patron of 76 gas, (just happened to pop in this Chevron location because it was a long the way). If you happen to come to this location, don't expect communication from the cashier.

Gas station owner, message me with proof of that you're the owner of the gas station, and I'm happy to PayPal you the 16 cents that the 20 cheap brown paper towels cost in bulk. If you don't want to get hassled at this gas station when you use 20 brown paper towels, I recommend that you go when the gas station is busier, not on the morning of a holiday when the gas station attendant has nothing better to do.

It's not the cheapest, but it's definitely on the cheaper end of the spectrum price wise. One of the best parts about it though is that it feels cleaner and safer than a lot of other gas stations. Location, price, and vibes are all solid. The owner is also very nice--I met him a few days after the gas station became a Gulf.
