My last review was in 2016. Seven years later, we are still loyal to this company. Our off-white wall-to-wall carpeting is at least 20 years old and gets stained from normal wear. National Multi Steam (NMS) is amazing: easy to make appointment, arrive on time (or early), are friendly and fast; and most importantly, they clean thoroughly including under chairs and tables. This is my first time hiring someone to clean my carpet I have no clue what to expect. And my experience was so bad. He was in a hurry and telling me he have another client at 11:30 am. He arrive at 10:33 am and left at 11:40 am. I felt that he was rude. He said he do this job quick for 30 mins. I am in a single family home with 4 bedrooms and stars carpeted. I will never go with any other carpet cleaning company. It may sound cheesy or cliche' but they really do treat you like family (in a good way). I have area carpets and lots of pets. I rescued animals and pet sit so often will find "accidents" on my rugs. Alfonso, his wife Sylvia and/or their son Michael do a fantastic job and have even made my old couches look brand ne. Alfonso and his assistant (wish I had asked for her name) did a superb job disinfecting/cleaning and removing the stains off my carpets. Having two dogs (one being only 4 months old) and moving in with the carpets uncleaned by the previous tenant left visible stains all over the house. Not to mention, we live in a townhouse so getting their equipment from our assigned parking space to our actual house itself was quite the hassle but Alfonso was able to get it done and did a wonderful job! One Room job ... Alfonso and Assistant showed up before I had a chance to move all the toy clutter and couple of pieces of furniture. I started in on clearing the Living Room and Alfonso insisted I allow him and Assistant to handle it for me. They started in with steam cleaning and removed all the dirt, grime and my child's spilled food stains. What a relief, they left replacing furniture back in place AND leaving me with what I call brand new carpet. Very friendly, cordial and professional ... OH, AND affordable, move over Stanley, you've been replaced ;-) Stanley would have had me wait a week before they could make it. I decided to use another carpet service, due to yelp reviews, chose National Multi Steam. Having numerous apartment rentals, I have much experience with carpet cleaners. Alfonso was not who met me at my property but a team of 2. When I went over my carpet concerns with the gentleman, I felt a rudeness in his response. Like "we know what we are doing", as if I was challenging the results I would be receiving. I was simply pointing out area's that I was concerned with that were not obvious by sight alone. He also said numerous times how quickly they would be in and out, like that was an asset, and that the dry time was very quick. I noticed the carpet seemed wet, but thought that was pretty normal, so didn't mention it at the time. By end of day, the carpet was still very wet. The next afternoon my tenant met me to move in, but the carpet was still to wet. She stored her belongings in the kitchen and did not have dry carpet until day 3. At the same time, I had another unit cleaned and resulted in a dry time of 2 days. I called the owner, Alfonso to discuss this. I had a hard time understanding what he was saying and felt he talked way to quickly as well. I thought our conversation was left that he was going to contact my tenant (during the 3 day dry time) to feel the carpet for himself or bring in fans. He never did. Plus he never validated my experience, or tried to resolve my trust in using his service again. He has lost many potentials jobs for the unprofessional followup with his employees use of over saturation. Later in the week... I received an email from Alfonso. In good faith, he refunded both carpet cleaning charges and owned up to human error, which happens. It is a greater stance when one steps up to the plate and admits human error. This action makes the slate clean. I am open now to trying this company again, since so many raved about them on Yelp and he came referred from a co-worker in my real estate office. read more

I had an accident with green paint being spilled on my light carpet, ( a school project) I immediately called Stanley steamer because that is who normally cleans my carpets, it was close to 5:00 pm and Stanley had no techs available to send out. The girl gave me National multi Steam number and said try them, I am so glad I did! I am not sure of the technicians name but he came out with Sylvia . He told me to keep the area wet to prevent the paint from drying which I did until they arrived. They were able to remove ALL the green paint from the carpet! I was amazed and thought for sure it would not completely come out, he even asked me " how do you know it won't come out, let's try we'll get it done" I live in Fairfield they came from Napa and only charged me $40!! I asked are you sure?! He said Yes, I came to help you. There aren't too many business people in this world that would do that for someone. I have been putting off getting the carpets cleaned for way too long and finally did it. I am beyond relieved I did it and who I hired to do it for me. They were in and out in less than an hour and were attentive to the trouble spots. My carpets have never looked this good. I am totally bummed I forgot to get before and after pictures because there was such a drastic difference....I am embarrassed to say this but this was the first time I have hired someone to clean the carpets so I was not really sure what kind of preparation needed to be done. When they arrived they went through the rooms that I needed cleaned and assisted me in removing the things on the carpet that needed to be moved and convinced me that I needed to remove more than I was expecting in order to do it right.
