Signed up to try out the Old Town Spring Ghost Walk in October…read more and we really enjoyed ourselves. We had heard that old town Spring was haunted and even read a book about its haunted history, so we knew we had to try this. We had two ghostly ladies provide a very fascinating and detailed walk though old town Spring at nigh after most things have closed down. Everyone in the group were provided with EMF meters to help in detecting paranormal activity throughout the area. We did receive a lot of activity on our meters especially in areas that my wife and I knew were known for paranormal activity and little to no activity in other places. These are true EMF meters and really came alive in one particular place with a great haunted history and by chance ran in to a couple of freelance paranormal investigators who were monitoring it and we were able to witness their equipment registering activity as well. Whether you believe or not, the 90 minute walk was both interesting and informative and well worth checking out. Check out the history of the town then tour and see if you actually see some activity. Highly recommended!

So sad to report that Rachel and Cameron are no longer the managers and things have changed...a…read morelot. The new "can't do" manager is difficult. We had issues with mail, propane, our door opening onto another site door space, late office opening and a different vibe altogether. One example...This morning we arrived at 815am for a propane fill. I had called the evening before to confirm it would be available because it wasn't before. I was told he would be open at 730am. At 815 he was sitting at his computer and needed to "finish his reports" before filling our motorhome because he had already done his fills. Asking him how long it would be he said "a little while". I asked if he meant 10 min or an hour and he said "45 minutes" and acted put out. We left to get our propane on our travels. We usually spend a month each year plus occasional weekends here. No more. Too bad.

Our family recently rented a 43' bus from them and the experience was awful…read more To start off, none of the tank sensors worked correctly so we had no idea how full the black, grey, or fresh water tanks were. The only way we knew how full they were was based off whether the sink would drain. The rear master bath toilet wouldn't flush even fluid, so we all had to share the central toilet. While that's just a convenience, it's something that shouldn't happen in any world. The master bed motor wouldn't work so we had to physically lift the bed and disengage the motor so that the bed would fold out. When we had a technician inspect the motor, we found that there was a CPAP mask left under the bed which is disgusting. The lights in the bunk beds didn't work and TX RV adventures had no idea that they didn't until we pointed them out. They didn't do a full walkthrough of their own RV and it showed. The satellite tv wouldn't connect and the speaker system wouldn't connect to the tv. While that might've been user error, TX RV Adventures were relying on their little video to be the full walkthrough which it wasn't. The jack system wouldn't level correctly any time we tried to use it and it took multiple times to level the bus. It would regularly freak out and we would have to reset the system just to get it to work. Since we didn't have an actual walkthrough, we had to figure this out on our own which was extremely frustrating. The ac system was extremely loud and the sensors were off because the bus was either 76° or 60°. There was no in between. On our way home, the bus lost power because the turbo wouldn't build boost so we could only go 30 mph on the free way. Luckily, the engine built power after we turned it off and let it sit for a bit, but we still had the issue with losing power. While traveling home, the hydraulic hoses started leaking, so we weren't able to use the slide outs on the bus. When we got home, the mechanic told us it was a small leak and opened the slide which caused the bus to dump almost a gallon of hydraulic fluid on the street in front of our house. To top it off, Lauren herself said they had issues with Thor motor coach's paint quality and scratching with the slightest touch when she came to our house. After we returned the bus, TX RV adventures is now trying to file a claim against us to get the paint fixed even though they themselves admitted that the paint was of inferior quality and we did our best efforts to prevent trees from scratching it. When you're spending 5 figures on a rental bus, you want it to be as stress free as possible. This bus caused more headache and stress than it was worth and TX RV Adventures was as helpful as a box of nails. I do not recommend renting a bus from here. Edit: to top it off, TX RV Adventures is trying to deny that there were faults with the rv like the bed lights and bed motor.

This was our first rental from TX RV. We rented a 43 ft diesel pusher for 14 days. The experience…read morewas miserable from the time we drove to our first camp site. We spent 3 hours waiting on a technician to help us figure out why the jack leveling system wouldn't work. He finally told us how to reset the controls, and it worked. As a result of the wait, we missed a dinner with some dear family friends that have a new born. In addition, the power to the master bed did not work. We had to pull the cotter pin from the drive shaft and reinsert it every time we wanted to raise or lower the bed. The bus lost turbo boast on the way home. Luckily we have experience with diesel engines are were able to get the bus running again after a reset. Lastly, the hydraulic lines to the rear jacks blew a hose and we are not able to level the bus or put the slides out for the last couple days. The bus dropped a gallon of hydraulic fluid in the street in from of the house while we were unloading. Spent about 2 hours cleaning us that mess! Now, TX RV is complaining that we put some new scratched on the bus, and our "compensation" for all of the issues above is that they will cover the insurance deductible. Terrible place. DO NOT rent from them.

We spent three months at Eastlake RV Resort between selling one home and buying the next. We found…read moreit to be very clean and well managed plus lots of nice amenities. In fact, our RV bathroom was out of service for several days and the community bathrooms and showers were extremely nice to have. They are very roomy and always clean. Also, our visit coincidentally encompassed the time frame that Hurricane Harvey and its aftermath happened. Brian and Shawna kept us updated about the conditions at the resort while we were stuck out of town and by the time we were able to return there was no evidence anything had happened inside the resort. Everything was as clean and orderly as ever. During the aftermath the park was at capacity with relief workers, insurance adjusters, wrecker drivers, etc. They did an excellent job of keeping the park up to its usual standard with the influx of new tenants. I can't say enough good things about the resort and its employees.

This is a larger RV Resort just north of Houston. I started a one year trip across the US at the…read morebeginning of 2026 and it's my first time in an RV so I may not have a lot of perspective on what to expect for an RV park. However, this is my third " resort" so I feel confident giving an opinion. Overall and considering the monthly rate of around $30/night plus electric I'd say it's ok. Not great and not terrible. However there are certainly a few things that need to be changed for me to give a better review. We had some very cold/freezing weather that really wreaked havoc with their water lines. They shut them off in advance of the deep freeze which is understandable but since then the water has been shut off for repairs three separate times including today. The overall upkeep of the park could use some work as well. About half of the laundry machines don't work and the picnic tables that come with each spot are in dire need of replacement. Many of them including mine have rotted wood which is embarrassing when having guests over. The main gate doesn't work and was supposed to be operational for a while now but is not. I would also guess that at least half of the spaces are filled with permanent campers and many of which are definitely way past their prime. Calling this a resort is a bit of a stretch. One of the other issues that I have to point out is the frequent presence (especially at night) of freight trains which are adjacent to the park. If you are a light sleeper you will have problems with the trains blaring their horns through the night. As for the clientele, from what I can tell, most people keep to themselves and I guess that can be expected when half of the spots are filled with permanent campers and not people on vacation. The staff is decent and helpful and they do have scheduled activities for many evenings and the public spaces of the lake/clubhouse/grill pavilions are nice and clean. The spaces are large enough to park your rig and two cars and the grassy area is usable with decent space and many trees. The weather was too cold for me to try out the pool and hot tub so I am not able to comment on them but they seem decent and clean. I also did not use or look at the public bathrooms and shower facilities. Next time I am in the Houston area I will probably look for a different place to stay. Overall, considering the low price, you could do worse, but I think you could also do better for not a lot more money.

Now for the bad, there are no heaters in the bathhouse which names taking a shower at 48 degrees really fun. I had issues pulling into my spot because a resident likes to park in the road. After that, I noticed the park didn't like to enforce its own rules. Definitely units over 10 years old that look bad, lots of junk or "stuff" stored outside the units and then people parking in the road all day. We didn't have to deal with the noisy neighbor. We did hear the cart racing, but it was during the day so not an issue for us.
