I returned my rental car…read morearound 1:45 p.m., which was 15 minutes before the posted closing time of 2:00 p.m. I handed the keys to the employee, provided the vehicle's mileage, and opted for Avis's refueling service because I was in a hurry. The employee informed me that the car would not be checked in until the next business day and that I would be charged a late fee. She stated that because the vehicle needed to be refueled--and because she would have to do it herself--she would not check the car in, despite me having selected the refueling option. As a result, she refused to complete the return process, did not provide a receipt, and gave me no proof that the car was returned on time. I returned the car before closing, followed the required return procedure, and despite my efforts to comply with all policies, I now may have to dispute the late charges with Avis. The staff member was unprofessional and dismissive, and treated the situation as an inconvenience rather than following standard return procedures.

Avis, the next booth over, is open more hours. Unless you have their affinity or club card, or a discount card through some other membership, their rates are higher than Enterprise. They don't do pickup/drop-off like Enterprise. The Enterprise car rental at Cheyenne is not at the airport, but since they will pick you up, it's the better deal.

Their response was to send me to priceline, but when I go to priceline they tell me I need to talk to Hertz. To make matters even better when I call Hertz their phone system tries to push me back to the internet instead of talking to a human. When you finally get to where you are almost to a human then they threaten to charge you 5% if you make any changes to your reservation with a customer service agent. If you want a great example of how not to do business - check out Hertz. National and pretty much any other car rental company are much better.

Which I completely understand! But we were in a bad spot. When Eric answered, he agreed to stay and found a mechanic, Hunter, to wait for us to get there. They were so kind and accommodating. They let us borrow an extra car to go get oil. Eric even gave my kiddos a tour of the autobody shop. Which for the record is very well kept! We wouldn't have been able to continue on our journey without them, and they even tried to refuse money when we paid them at the end. I would say go to this place if you need someone reliable. It's the most good-humaneness I've seen in a long time!
