I…read morehad been having a lot of back pain for several years and other doctors just told me it was a muscle spasm or they didn't know what it was and just gave me pain meds or sent me to physical therapy which didn't work. When I finally found Dr. Neal she didn't just write me off but took the time to talk to me and asked a lot of questions other doctors never did. She thought I had ankylosing spondylitis (even though I am a woman and it's not nearly as common in women as in men) and sent me for x-rays. When those were negative she sent me for an MRI and I was FINALLY given the diagnosis of ankylosing spondylitis. She started me on Humira and within a couple of weeks I was feeling better. Now I am living pain-free and can do anything I want without worrying that it's going to take days to recover. I do have to wait in the waiting room awhile sometimes to see her, but I know that's because she cares and takes the time with her patients instead of just rushing them out the door. Although I relocated I still make the drive to Long Beach because she is so knowledgeable and kind and went to bat for me when my new insurance company didn't want to cover Humira. I have referred a few family members to her medical group for other reasons and they are all really happy with their treatment. I highly recommend this group and specifically Dr. Rebekah Neal to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and caring rheumatologist.

Sudden unprofessional behavior and poor communication from provider Christian Luafau…read more I've seen provider Christian Luafau at Precision Rheumatology twice before without any problems, which is why my most recent visit shocked me. This time, the interaction was extremely unprofessional. I was never informed that my lab orders were sent electronically. Previously, I was given paper forms and told I could take them to any Quest. No one called, emailed, or communicated that the process had changed. When I tried to explain this, Christian Luafau repeatedly cut me off and labeled me "hostile," even though I was just trying to understand what happened. Instead of helping resolve the miscommunication, he abruptly switched me to another provider with a much longer wait time and said, "Now you'll have to wait longer." I left the appointment with no refill plan, no guidance, and the feeling that I was being punished rather than supported as a patient. Patients with chronic conditions deserve respect, patience, and clear communication. The way this situation was handled caused unnecessary stress and left me without timely care. I hope the clinic reviews how this encounter was handled to prevent this from happening to others.

He repaired two of my toes and took incredible care of both of us from start to finish. Dr. Fishman was professional, kind, and made us feel completely comfortable the whole time. He explained everything clearly and made what could have been a stressful day feel easy and smooth. And as a bonus (because my sister & I requested fun photos of surgery) he used his meta glasses to take photos and document how the surgery went, which was definitely a highlight to wake up to after surgery. The entire surgical team at Los Alamitos + Fishman's staff was also amazing and super helpful throughout everything! Everything went perfectly, and we're so grateful for the care we received. I honestly wouldn't trust anyone else with our toes but Dr. Fishman. Highly recommend!

I told her a couple of times that my insurance isn't great and they would likely want me to get my imaging done at a third party location as they have done in the past. She insisted that my imaging could be done in office and made an appointment a month later. La Palma is an hour+ drive both ways from my city, and the appointment was in the early afternoon so I left work early to make it. There were no notes for Dr. Wu, no paperwork was ever started on my imaging meaning I drove 2 hours and left work early to make an appointment I waited a month to for nothing. The front desk lied to me about the office having my medical history gathered from my PCP as well.

I must admit I was very surprised at her working so late on a Friday night. She was actually a lot more personable on the phone than in person. She told me everything was fine as far as arthritis was concerned but I did have 3 items that need to be followed up with my internist. She said she'd fax the lab results to my internist once I call back to give them the number. Unlike most doctor who would ask you to book another appointment just to go over the test results, she did it on the phone. For that, I think she deserves another star.

I went to my family doctor because I live a bit far from Dr. Kim and I needed prescription medication. It seem like he (family Dr.) knew about gout but all he did was cause me way more pain, so bad I had to visit doctor Kim right away. The pain is 60% gone minutes after my visit and one day after its 85% gone. Usually I go in with a bad limp and come out walking, but since my family Dr jack me up I came in a wheel chair and left with way less pain. Dr. Kim quickly pin point why my gout esclated all of sudden. My meds from the other doctor were for gout prevention but if taken when gout has attacked it can make things way worst. I would recommend Dr. Kim to anyone who has gout. My insurance also doesn't cover Dr. Kim but I still drive 40 mins to an hour to see him, he's that good. Plus he's very nice, informative, take his time and try his best to make things painless.
