I went to Food Bazaar in Fairview for the first time in MANY MANY years because a vegan friend told…read moreme she goes all the time. While I was there I was like OMG why have I not been going here?! Now first to be honest I got ribeye bulgogi yesterday and then I remembered. Like the bad Yelp reviews say, don't get meat there. It goes bad quickly (why I stopped going) and it is very poor choice quality (why I remembered yesterday why I stopped going). While tasty, it was full of gristle and fat. On the other hand, that's the ONLY bad comment I have. And the good news, there are 1000 good reasons to go despite that. The fish was WICKED fresh. Eyes clear etc. price great. Veggies and fruit. All great. Cheese selection amazing. Tons of variety. Honestly it rivals Whole Foods post Amazon now. But it has a great selection of foreign food stuffs too that Whole Foods does not. Did I mention the roasted coffee bean bins?! This place is just amazing. I cannot wait to go back and try it all!

They also have a big sized parking lot, making it super convenient. This one is located in Fairview and I would say it has food from a global perspective (South American, Korean, Asian) The biggest surprise is that this is the only market where I've seen Blue Fin Tuna carving! It's only in the weekends but it's really cool!

Been in the area for years, first time trying Food Bazaar and so far the experience was very good…read more Really like the huge space and large selection of items. Had no idea there were so many kinds of arepas. Their avocados were a bit larger than what I typically am used to, yet still just as nutty and flavorful, not watery at all. Typically, a lot of other grocery stores in the area feel cramped, and I feel that Food Bazaar and ACME are the closest ones here that feel like normal supermarkets. The cashier even bagged my groceries which is something I haven't experienced in some time. Much appreciated. And despite the large overhead costs, this place still manages to keep prices fairly reasonable. My bill was about what I typically spend elsewhere. It depends what you get. E.g dairy and pb might be higher but the avocados and beans were a great deal. To be honest, I've been looking for more alternatives to Lidl, and this place, La Placita, ACME, and Family Dollar help a lot in giving me other options. (Carniceria Latina and La Roca are great for butcher sections). I still go to Lidl for some items, Lidl's prices are the reason I keep shopping there. But I feel Lidl's selection is quite limited, it doesn't feel like a real supermarket, and a lot of times I dread being stuck on line if I make the mistake of going at the wrong hour. If Food Bazaar can be good about keeping the lines moving and making use of the most registers/kiosks, then that would be awesome.

High quality products and excellent customer satisfaction I love this place…read more Also very clean, and easy shopping

It was crazy busy, almost impossible to find any parking spot. There was a lot construction going on as well, so exit roads from parking lot were in very bad condition and one of the entrance was closed. Inside the store it was like any other Walmart, just aisles after aisles of products. They have a huge produce and grocery section. There were a lot of decoration and inventory for Easter as well. I easily located the bike we came to get. After trying it for a bit, we took it to the checkout lane. The checkout was quick as the cashier scanned and processed the payment in a short time. Near the exit, there was a McDonald's store as well. We were happy with the in-store shopping experience but the parking situation and potholes in the surrounding roads made it unpleasant for the shoppers.

We went for kids bicycles and it did not disappoint. Various designs and heights to choose from. At the same area, it also had helmets and protective gears. Many check out counters at the front. The line was ok. The staff at the door really checked the receipt to make sure the product number matched. Great place to do weekly shopping if you are up for the craziness and the crowds. Otherwise I would opt out for delivery.
