Dr. Nathan Simmons has been my therapist for over 9 years now. Not only has he always been supportive of me and my lifelong challenges with mental health, (most specifically Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) He's helped my husband, child and even extended himself to include communication with other family members as necessary to navigate issues. He's also taken the time to speak with other professionals who are supporting my healing in order to collaborate care plans to gain further insight into where I am in my journey.
I look forward to attending my sessions because Dr. Simmons is so personable and easy to talk to. His attitude and general outlook on life are inspiring because he's always looking for the positive in every situation. He's simply very kind, humorous, easygoing and humble. He's always open to sharing any personal experiences he has had in an effort to display empathy and relate to different situations.
I have worked with several psychologists in my life starting from 15 years old, and no one else was worth sticking with for too long. I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have found a therapist who I know cares about me, my marriage and our family. In my mind- we are peers and have developed a special friendship that is always professional, yet provides the heart, compassion and dedication lacking in the majority of Psychologists and the mental healthcare system today.
I thank him so very much for everything and this review is the least I can do to show my appreciation and support of his practice. If he wasn't our therapist, he would easily be a friend to invite to our home for BBQs and watching football games on Sundays. read more
