I want to share my full experience so others can make an informed decision before booking with this company. I had a bathroom outlet in my rental home that wasn't providing power -- it was newly installed about a year ago and this was the first time I tested it. I called to schedule an appointment, and the person I spoke with walked me through scheduling and availability but at no point mentioned that they have a $285 minimum service charge, regardless of how simple the job turns out to be. The electrician arrived and diagnosed the issue almost immediately: a switch/breaker in the main panel had simply been left off. He flipped it back on, tested the outlet, and confirmed it was working -- the entire fix took just a few minutes. Despite the simplicity of the issue, I was charged the full $285 minimum. I understand service calls have overhead, but I feel strongly that a charge this significant should be communicated clearly at the time of scheduling, not after the technician has already been to my home and the work is done. Had I known about the $285 minimum in advance, I would have asked more questions or looked elsewhere. I'm not disputing the technician's professionalism. My issue is entirely with the lack of upfront pricing transparency.

I hired Nate and his father Eric to install LED lights above the garage doors. They completed 75% of the job, told me they'd return the next week to finish the job. After two phone calls and three texts, they ghosted me and never came back. Now I'm in the process of finding someone else to complete the work. Upon looking further into Nate's company, I found that he lied to me about two critical items: I asked him if he was a registered contractor in Arizona and if he carried Workman's Comp Insurance. Nate replied yes to both and I now know he is NOT registered as a comtractor NOR does he carry Workman's Comp insurance. This guy is a liar and as unprofessional as they come. DON'T HIRE HIM unless you want to give yourself headaches. read more

He worked for almost 2 hours. brought his own vacuum and cleaned up. Gave me the receipt for purchased supplies. Very happy with his fair pricing, good work and great attitude. We reached out to Gary after buying a new house in Arcadia a while back and he told us that whenever we were ready he could help us with installing ceiling fans, blinds, and whatever we may need (score!) but when we called him back to schedule something he was sick and told me he would call me back in a week. A week goes by with no phone call, so I call him-- but no answer... and his vm is full. so I waited a couple more days and called him again, still no answer; so this time I followed up with a text asking if he was still interested in helping us out with our handyman needs and he replied yes and to let him know when we would like him to come help. Perfect! I called him when I got back to Phoenix and he didn't answer (of course), so I texted asking when he was available and he asked if he could schedule me in for between 1-2pm on Thursday. Yes I replied, then I texted asking him a couple questions about estimates for hanging large blinds and included photos. He ignored my texts that night about the quote/estimate altogether, so I texted asking if he received my messages requesting an estimate to which he replied "Yes, I'll look at them when I'm at your house." (Not really an answer or estimate- kind of slippery). So today rolls around and of course I'm at home waiting on this handyman to show up (of course I organized my day around him) 14 minutes before he was due for our appointment, he cancels. He says: "Can we meet Saturday 9-930? Caught up in work." (No apology for the inconvenience, or wasting my time, just a crap text). Me: "You know Gary, let me talk to my boyfriend about it. After reading your Yelp! reviews we expected a little more professionalism to be honest." He says: "Well I've been sick for the last month and been out of commission. I've been trying to catch up on my jobs. Sorry if you feel that way. I know I can't make everyone happy. Me: "It's not a feeling. You cancelled 15 minutes before you were scheduled to show up and have been unresponsive and not very communicative with me. Those are facts. While I understand it's impossible to make everybody happy, you could do a much better job by being a little more professional. Then-- radio silence. Gary, you can make customers happy; how about apologizing when you're wrong and unprofessional instead of #1: making excuses, then #2: blaming me, or acting like I'm the one with unrealistic expectations when I've accommodated the date and time YOU chose and then flaked on. Would not recommend.
