The program is accredited, which is great. Dr. Suhad is an amazing professor. She is down to earth and just brilliant. I couldn't imagine learning about sonography from anyone else. Melissa, my clinical coordinator, is very encouraging and I appreciate all of her help during my clinicals. I want to be 100% transparent about my time here at SUI so I will also speak about some things that can be improved on. I believe that better communication and full transparency will take this program to the next level. I think that the amazing staff, like Dr. Suhad and Melissa, are taking on a lot of responsibility and if their burden was shared with possibly more staff, the program would be so much more amazing. I went and did a little research on Assist to Succeed and also looked up the Facebook page of this particular location and so on. I even decided to e-mail one of the students that was tagged in a picture to ask her how she liked the program. She said she loved it and had nothing but good things to say about it. I think there are only 2 Assist to Succed programs as far as i know and one of them is in Oroville. So i am happy that there is one in Elk Grove, since that isn't too far from where i live. I decided to show up in person and ask questions and get more information. I didn't have a car at the time and the money, eventhough this is far cheaper than going to one of those other colleges. I wasn't going to sign up right away, but wait for the next class instead. Becky was really nice and explained how the program works and i left feeling good about possibly starting something new. However, i never did sign up for the program at that time. Here we are a year later. I went back 2 weeks ago with a friend of mine, because the both of us were considering becoming Dental Assistants, so she came along with me and we met up with Becky, the instructor. Again she answered all of our questions, showed us around and told us what all the program entails and what we have to look forward to. We even got a folder outlining what we will be learning, dress code, registration form etc. She's super sweet :) she gave us a card and told us we could feel free to contact her and ask her more questions if we had any. I am actually excited about this and know i could start a new career and just learning something different in general, which always exiting and a bit nervous. This time i will actually attend the school and my friend will too. We are actually going back this week with our filled out forms and down payment to secure our spot. AutoCAD Civil 3D is what I use and is not an easy piece of software to learn. However, the training I received from Cad Masters has been extremely helpful in making me a productive employee for the City. Furthermore the ongoing support I've received over the years from Cad Masters has been at least as valuable as the initial training itself, if not even more so. To this very day I still consult with Cad Masters when I encounter difficult AutoCAD and Civil 3D software drafting problems; although I will admit that my calls to consult with them now are much fewer in number as I've learned so much from them about how to properly execute the functions within the software.

She worked tirelessly helping me obtain my transcripts from my online high school. It wasn't a simple process and required her to jump through multiple hoops and go back and forth numerous times. Because of her persistence and dedication, I was able to begin the process of enrolling. Without her help and determination, I honestly may not have been able to start school when I did. I would also like to recognize Mr. Ricardo, who handled my student intake. His energy and enthusiasm were incredible from the moment I met him. He worked extremely hard to get everything processed and even managed to get me started that very same week. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of, and his excitement made me feel confident and motivated about starting the program. My instructor, Miss B, deserves more recognition than I could ever put into words. She wasn't just a teacher to me, she truly became a mentor and friend. She didn't just teach what was in the textbook, she taught real-life skills and how to truly succeed in the medical field. She was patient, supportive, and always available whenever I needed help or didn't understand something. She believed in her students and pushed us to be our best. Carlos is the person you can go to for absolutely anything, and he will always find a way to help. He is incredibly knowledgeable, highly educated in the medical field, and extremely compassionate. What makes him stand out the most is how much he genuinely cares about the students in the Medical Assistant program and their future success. Carlos truly listens to students and values their thoughts, concerns, and goals. He is also the person who encouraged me to take the CCBMA certification exam, something I never believed I could pass. I honestly had no intention of even attempting it because I didn't think it was possible for me. Carlos believed in me when I didn't believe in myself. Because of his encouragement and support, I took the exam and I am now CCBMA certified. The fact that he is even helping me revise my resume on a Sunday shows the level of dedication he has to his students. Every single employee at UEI College has been incredible. She knows how much I appreciate her because I tell her all the time! She genuinely goes above and beyond for her students. She creates helpful videos, gives up her own time to provide extra lab practice, and helps us prepare for the AMCA certification exam. She gives us real-life experiences, makes learning hands-on, and finds different ways to help us understand the material. You can tell she genuinely cares about our success, not just as students but as future healthcare professionals. He is great at explaining procedures, demonstrating skills, and helping students understand what they are doing. He also supports the phlebotomy students and our CMA class. He is willing to help us practice hands-on skills, even allowing us to use him as a patient when needed. The instructors don't just tell us when something is wrong; they explain why it is wrong and how to correct it. That kind of teaching helps us learn, improve, and become more confident in our skills. **George, our externship manager**, is also appreciated. He is understanding, straightforward, and honest with us. I appreciate having someone who communicates clearly and helps us navigate the next step in our education and career journey. I also want to recognize the wonderful staff at **Twilight Adult School: Mr. Cruz, Mr. Slominski, Mr. Ruben, Miss Jenny, Miss Norma, and Miss Maria.** They are all kind, helpful, and willing to go above and beyond for students. I have been to three other trade schools, this is my fourth. The biggest draw for me is they help…read moreyou find work. The one detail that separates them from other schools is simple. I say simple because they all have the ability to break down any kind of math equation. I spent half of my general Ed (K-12) in Special Ed. I have never been great with math. I am now able to learn extremely complex math. I have to respectfully disagree with the other woman's review. To be clear the field of Drug and Alcohol Counseling is one of the lowest earning careers. You don't make anything above $35,000.00 a year. Most jobs are very low pay regardless of the field. Making $12.00/hr is the norm. It's pretty bad and unfortunate, that a severe lack of income is hugely ignored in society. The staff at the Rancho Cordova campus are very helpful and honest. They are always there to help you. If you're not ready to start working in your chosen field, they help you find a job anyways. Until you feel ready to learn your trade in the field, they patiently wait. When you give them the green light they help you with a smile. The campus president O.C. is a wonderful lady and a great listener. She makes all of the students feel welcome and takes the time to know all of us.

I did appreciate the convenience of this and how parking only cost $2.00. When I was a student here, I wanted to take classes that I was interested in without the pressure of schooling. I enjoyed my death and dying psychology class. I also loved my sign language class. There was also ballet and hula which helped me fall back in love with dancing. The instructors and educational staff here are reliable. I enjoyed my experience at Sac City College. Go Panthers!

I've been to four year universities that don't have quality classes and teachers like this place…read more LOCATION & DECOR: Large campus with a traditional University setup, a community area called The quad and buildings within close proximity. Can easily walk around this campus although it doesn't feel small. Across the street from the ever gorgeous Land Park on Freeport and 12th avenue. CLASSES/CURRICULUM: They have courses in graphic design and digital media, aeronautics, theater arts, traditional studio arts, fashion, photography, cosmetology, and of course the general eds. PRICE: $$$ The credits are about $46 per credit. However most students can attend free of charge with proper FAFSA and financial aid forms filled out before each semester. There are unavoidable fees like student representation and something else, but that isn't more than a hundred bucks that I've ever paid and I'm overshooting just to be sure I don't leave anyone astray. There hasn't been a parking fee since everything went online, but I do foresee it returning which is about $40 a semester and half that for motorcycles SWAG/AMENITIES: A lunch hall, student services, disability services, tutoring services, a design lab, a makerspace, auditorium, sports stadium, swimming pool, theater stage, student supply store, veterans resource Center, and much more. STAFF & EXPERIENCE: This place is like that show cheers where everybody knows your name. Staff and faculty truly care about their students. Class is usually max out at 28 in the design and art departments so you really get to know your instructor and classmates over 16 weeks. The level and quality of courses here rival any 4 year university. I completed the design and digital media associates degree program involved of 2019 and have taken two classes per semester since because there are just too many quality classes here to pass up on. The instruction level is the best I've ever received at the collegiate level. I even started tutoring in the design lab just because I wanted to soak up the knowledge and environment a little more and I do enjoy helping others in that way. I have complete freedom to choose the classes that suit my particular needs and every class I take just makes me want to take another class. I'd recommend this university to anyone, especially anyone looking to be in the graphic arts and traditional arts fields. Some of the classes here they don't even teach it for your universities and some of the knowledge you learn here is what they expect you to already know when you get to some of the universities like Sac State.
