After looking at endless reviews, I selected Dr Griggs as my top choice. I am so glad I did. Dr Griggs is the most compassionate Doctor I have ever met; she took the time to go through my medical history, she listened keenly/patiently to all my questions/concerns and made me feel comfortable and not judged. Dr Griggs is truly knowledgeable and incredibly detailed she addressed all my inquiries and at the end of my appointment she had an action plan.

Recently, my mother went to an Urgent Care center on a Friday, and was told she may have uterine cancer and needed to get into the doctor ASAP and or take herself to the ER by Monday. Obviously when she told me I completely panicked because 1. She doesn't have insurance, and 2. she needed to get into someone on a Saturday. I told my mom (who is terrified of doctors and never goes to them) that I would call my OBGYN. So I called Advanced up, and Linda answered and put me on hold for like 2 minutes and came up with an appt on a Saturday! Literally the next day. She told me not to worry, they would help us on the billing with no insurance and get everything squared away. It was so reassuring. I literally just love Linda! Ruby and Maria are also great! So we go to the appointment, and I was literally freaking out that my mom was going to flip out on Dr. Griggs because she hates doctors. After an hour she comes out and is completely calm and we talked to Linda. Linda gave her a hug and we were off. In the car my mom said, Dr Griggs was the kindest most understanding doctor she had ever met. So, of course I was thrilled. On the billing side, Linda told us that we should talk to Pam. So at the next appointment my mom went into Dr. Griggs, and Pam took me back to her office and explained all of our options. Since the affordable care act did not apply to my mom, we have to work really hard to find other options. So Pam gave me a ton of information, and was super duper understanding and sweet. We go back again today, and I am not even stressed because I feel like we are in the best care for my mother! I highly recommend this place! From Front Desk to the Billing Dept these ladies are top notch!

Gave us an appointment 2 months down the road. Kinda defeats the purpose of time sensitive to reschedule 60 days down the road. Bad customer service, so can't comment on quality of care. Their hours stipulate that they are open from 9am to 12pm, but when I called at 9:30am, I had to leave a message with an "agent." The office staff is rude. And finally: I had called two days previously, on a weekday (because the practice refused to accept my pharmacist's request for a refill on a prescription the day before), and was told that a request would be put in if I made my annual appointment, which I did. They then did not forward my request to my pharmacist and I am now out of my prescription. I would highly consider a different practice, as I am sure there are several that could meet your needs as a patient.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME! I recently changed insurance and they required doctor preauthorization to…read morerefill my birth control. I called the office and they informed me that since they moved locations, they no longer had access to my medical records so they could only do something once those were sent. I emailed them a copy of my records from MyChart that day. I had to call the office 6 TIMES to ask for updates and every time, the woman said she would pass along my information. After 2 weeks of nothing getting done, I decided to go to the new office location where I had to explain AGAIN what was needed to have the office manager claim "this was the first he was hearing this". I asked if the doctor could submit the preauthorization that day (since I am running out of medication) and he said, "well the doctor is very busy". The preauthorization STILL HAS NOT BEEN COMPLETED. Good thing it's birth control and not any life-saving medicine. Do yourself a favor and find a different doctor.

Severe Decline in Patient Care and Ethics Since Dr. Duboe's Retirement…read more I have been a loyal patient of North West Associates for Women's Healthcare for many years, specifically because of the outstanding care provided by Dr. Duboe. He was truly an exceptional OBGYN, and I continued seeing him even after moving far from Hoffman Estates. However, since Dr. Duboe's retirement in June, the practice has experienced a catastrophic decline in quality, professionalism, and patient ethics. I strongly advise new and current patients to beware, especially when seeing Dr. Baddour. I Needed an urgent appointment in October. While the staff was initially quick to get me in, choosing to see Dr. Baddour was a grave mistake. The doctor was extremely rushed and dismissive. After a quick examination and taking a simple sample for testing, he stated I would receive results in 7 days. After 7 days, 10 days, and even two weeks, received no call and no results posted to the patient portal. Called repeatedly, leaving multiple messages on the nurses' line and sending portal messages, with absolutely no response for several days. This lack of communication for an urgent medical issue was unacceptable. When the nurse finally called back, she falsely claimed results take 14 days, contradicting the doctor. She then scheduled a follow-up appointment to "discuss results." Follow-Up Appointment (Ethical and Professional Violations) My second appointment was unsettling and deeply unprofessional. The receptionists were rude and cold, which was a stark change from previous years. When I politely corrected the mispronunciation of my name, the receptionist immediately mispronounced it again without apology. While waiting for the doctor, the staff played political commentary (specifically endorsing Trump and discussing sensitive topics like "kicking rapists out of the country") loudly on the radio. Patient rooms should be a neutral, non-political space focused purely on care. This was unprofessional and made me extremely uncomfortable. Dr. Baddour was once again rushed. Then, the unthinkable happened: he proceeded to lie, claiming he had performed a surgical procedure on me (removing the issue I was having) during the first visit. He insisted it happened and attempted to gaslight me into believing I simply "didn't remember" the surgery. I explicitly knew no such procedure took place. I immediately ended the appointment and left. Billing and Collections Issues (Aggressive and Unethical) Days later, saw a claim submitted to my insurance indicating that Dr. Baddour had performed a surgical excision using local anesthetic--a procedure that never occurred. While actively disputing this fraudulent claim with my insurance, I was told that the practice sent the bill to collections after only 14 days of non-payment. This is an aggressive, unacceptable, and unethical billing practice that severely damages a patient's financial standing and ability to seek care elsewhere. Conclusion and Warning I was a perfect patient: always respectful, always on time, and always paid my bills promptly. I am truly saddened and feel betrayed by the practice's decision to treat a long-standing patient this way. Since Dr. Duboe left, the quality of care, professionalism, communication, and ethical integrity of North West Associates for Women's Healthcare has plummeted. The attempted gaslighting regarding a fabricated surgery and the rapid move to collections are major red flags. I highly recommend others seek care elsewhere.

I was eventually asked to return for another swab only after I pushed for further evaluation. I ultimately sought care from another physician, who provided the necessary medication. Unfortunately, I recently received a "surprise" bill for the annual visit I had in December 2019. I called the office to find out what the charges were for because I know my insurance did not change and all the preventive exams should be covered. It turns out because during the annual visit, Dr. Verma and I discussed a health concert that I had. Because of that, they charged me for a physical visit and a separate office visit for the same time. No making sense at all. Do you mean patient should not talk to the doctor even if they have any health concerns?? My past experience with my primary family doctor was nothing like this. My primary family doctor addressed my questions and concerns during annual checkup. I like Dr. Novas , Dr. Oh and Dr. Chamberlain even helped me delivered both my kids but I am VERY disappointed on this office now, it is not the office I used to know, they are trying to rip off every penny they can have. Will let all my friend know and do NOT go to this office.

However, I am extremely disappointed with a lack of accountability and decided to change where I get care. I went in for an annual exam, and the clinic assumed it's repeat visit and they billed the insurance with a wrong code which incurred out of pocket on my end. They don't have a proper in-take process asking why I am there, they just assumed it was another visit, and the unnecessary cost is my responsibility? I contacted the insurance company, lab company, and the clinic multiple times before the visit. It was supposed to be zero cost to me. I was told that the doctor's office would contact me back, but never heard back from them. If a consumer was charged for a service that was never commissioned or agreed upon, any other businesses will fix their mistakes and refund the money. That is a common sense. However, he switched from his old office to Northwest Women's Consultant and I've had nothing but problems with this group. Their system is completely automated. So when you call you get a machine and you have to wait for a call back. Sometimes it's in the same day but sometimes it's more than a day later. To get a prescription the automated messages says it can be 48-72 hours before you receive a call back, so if you need something quickly, you just sit and hope the call back comes sooner. Unfortunately, the nature of my job does not allow me to pick up the phone throughout the day and so I typically miss their calls and they always want more information, so then I'm going through the automated system again to try to get them more info about my symptoms for my chronic issue that is documented in my files. It ends up being a game of phone tag for me and I never get to talk to my doctor even when I ask. He is completely unreachable through their system. I would stay away from this group if you want fast care and personal care from people who know you.
