OMG!! This place is amazing. Tina was who did my massage and she was wonderful. This was my first…read moretime at a traditional community Chinese massage spa like this and I was definitely missing out. Pressure was perfect, time spent on each part of my body was even and well thought out. Make an appointment if you are wanting specific timeframe. Also consider bringing cash for discounted rate. Also please be kind as this is a traditional Chinese massage spa and folks who work here are amazing at what they do and speak their language of origin. Be patient and relax because what they do is hard work!

Hmm... what an interesting experience. I have been seeing…read morevideos of local massage businesses and got intrigued. We actually accidentally went here, as we meant to book massage appointments at a different spot but the names were very similar lol. So that's my fault on that part. The place is a lot bigger than I thought & they get busy! There's at least 8 masseurs/masseuses. Massages here are quite affordable. We did 2 1 hr massages, $59/each cash; $118 total. Not going to sugar coat it here, the massage was terrible. The first 10 minutes were okay with a head + scalp massage, followed by shoulders and feet. My masseur was talking the entire time & stepped away for a total of 10ish minutes. So, we really didn't get the full 1hr massage, along with the time we waited for someone to check the front to take us in for our appointment... (~6min). It was basically more like 45min, not an hour. I didn't find anything they did to be effective nor relieve any pains/tension. When paying, they also demanded tip and wanted more than 20% each LOL. Definitely not coming back again but at least we know now. I didn't realize until halfway when checking my phone that we didn't go to the one we had in mind. It wasn't relaxing at all. Too much noise going on, from the masseurs and since they had their front door wide open, we could hear all the noises from outside. Never experienced that when going for a massage! So, that was different. Only reason why I'm giving 2 stars instead of just 1 star is simply because the price is pretty cheap. The total for 2 is typically what I'd pay for a massage for 1 person. But besides that, I don't recommend coming here.

I've been here twice and gotten 2 different services, the 60 mins Asian Body Works (Tuina) with Hot…read moreStones and the 60 mins Foot Reflexology with Asian Body Works. The massage has always been very good and reception is very nice. Both times I have used a Groupon and booked an appointment for the same or next day (once I called because I was close by and they got me in for an appointment 10 mins later). Maybe it's because I go on weekdays, but they seem to have lots of availability. The massage is always very thorough and my body feels excellent after. They tend to use firm pressure -- I don't mind some pain during my massage but you can ask them to be lighter. Language barrier can be an issue so you may want to let reception know before you go in for the massage. The 60 mins Asian Body Works (Tuina) with Hot Stones was full body including scalp and face but not feet and you removed your clothes. The 60 mins Foot Reflexology with Asian Body Works included a foot soak, focused on feet and legs, and you kept your clothes on for the body works massage. I preferred the body works with hot stones from masseuse David, who asked multiple time if the pressure was good and it really felt amazing! If you care more about the foot massage and less about the body, then I would opt for the foot reflexology (the massage I had was fantastic as well). The space is clean, beds are very comfortable, and ambiance is nice. The different massage areas are divided by screens rather individual rooms separated by walls. I don't mind this, but I can see how some would not prefer it. When I went for the foot reflexology, I was in a shared room with a stranger -- this was fine for me because you do not remove your clothes for this service. I found it a little weird initially but did not care during the actual massage; again, I can see how some people may not enjoy this setup. Overall, Nomad offers very high quality massage at a reasonable price point, not overly extravagant. I will definitely go back regularly!

Decor: 4/5 Quality of massage: 2/5…read moreSense of relaxation: 1/5 When you walk in, the chic bohemian decor is inviting. However, the massage is where this place falls apart. The spa doesn't have separate rooms, rather it's one massive hall, separated by cloth curtains. Which means you can hear EVERYTHING!! You hear the opening of packages, the bathroom, the customer next to you saying "oh my god yea", the staff walking back n forth, the tap running in their kitchen... everything!!! To make this worse, the massage itself was terrible. They placed a towel on my back and massaged me over the towel in an elbow 'poking' manner rather than a normal kneading style. I left the spa feeling rather bruised than relaxed. This was the second time I've had a terrible experience at Nomad - will definitely not be returning.

We booked a couples massage, and throughout the entire massage, the two masseuses were speaking to each other. At one point, someone actually walked into our room during the massage and simply said, "Sorry!" Given the extremely unprofessional experience, we decided not to leave a tip. The staff then yelled at us and refused to let us leave until we tipped. Fortunately, my fiancé was able to get us out of the situation. This was incredibly uncomfortable and, frankly, frightening. I would strongly recommend avoiding this place. It did not feel safe.

This is located on the ground level and when you first walk in, it's very clean and relaxing. I did a walk in on the weekend and they were able to help me with a 60 min massage immediately. You need to pay for the service first and they're also cash only. They bring you to a room where it's pretty no frills, but the massage was amazing. My masseuse told me to tell her if she needed to change the pressure, and she was able to accommodate. She focused heavily on my neck and lower back, and she was so strong - in the best way because I like deep tissue massages. She spent a full 60 min with me and towards the end, she advised me to do cupping. I didn't see this as upselling - she seemed concerned that there was still tension. I did the cupping and she even mentioned that she was doing to do cupping all over my body instead of just my back because of the tension. After 1 hour and 15 min, I was done and felt less tension in my muscles. I would definitely come back. They were reasonably priced and I felt great at the end.
