I came here to get a bridesmaid dress altered, and the seamstress did a great job! The sewing room…read moreseems like something out of Cinderella / some other fanciful movie - it's packed with clothes and there's a giant desk with a sewing machine right in front of the door. Maybe it's because I've never really been in an alteration shop, but I thought it was cool! I'm not a sewer (by that I mean seamstress - althought I'm not the sewage waste kind either), but my dress seemed complicated - ruching all along the bodice and a flowy, ruffly skirt, but she brought it in and hemmed it and it looked as good as new! I liked that she took the time to make sure the dress felt comfortable and adjusted the pins (for marking the alteration spots) as needed. She charged fair prices (I compared them with my siblings / fellow bridesmaids in a different state, and the prices were exactly the same) and had the dress done within a week or two (on the same date she wrote down on the slip I got when I dropped the dress off). If I have any future alterations, I'll be back here.

We only have a few months left, and do not want to buy a washer for a house we will not be living in so we were really stressed about what we were going to do. This place is close to our house, and we feel so lucky because they have made a stressful situation seem so easy. There are so many washers and dryers there and it is easily customizable. You can be there for as long as you want/need. There is an app you pay with, and it keeps time of the machines you are using. We usually have 2-3 loads a week and have had no trouble finding machines. Typically, we put our laundry in, walk over to our gym for 30 minutes, come back to put our clothes in the dryer, and finish our workout for the last hour. It is so clean in there and they have a lot of areas for folding. You can purchase laundry supplies there and the women working there are so kind. The owner Steve is also very friendly and very helpful. We love it here!

I had a body that is a bit big for Medium Chef Coat and too small for a Large Chef Coat, which I just found out, je je je, going to the gym will definitely fix this issue, but I cannot wait six months, I needed the chef coats to be tailored to my current body type, I had a meeting in 12 hours, and Misha took care of my needs, by fixing one in an hour and the other four by the next day. As a plus size bride, I did not want to make an already vulnerable experience harder with a difficult experience before my wedding. And the hard part: I wanted them to be local. I feel incredibly blessed that I found Courtney, and that she took me in. She was INCREDIBLE. So sweet, incredibly talented and knowledgeable... not to mention very sensitive. She talked to me, asked me questions about my big day, and made me feel right at home... and EXCITED. I can't thank her enough. Plus, her little studio here in Chico is the best. A great interpersonal experience where you feel like the most important thing. She took my dress in a whole size, altered my sleeves, and added a bustle to my dress (with custom instructions for my friend). I recommend Courtney to anyone and everyone.
