On Sunday, August 2rd, we visited the Marina Del Rey Canal together. After spending some time there, we started thinking about what we should have for lunch, and we all agreed that Thai food would be a great choice. I searched Yelp for a good Thai restaurant nearby and suggested Natalee. Everyone agreed, so we decided to give it a try. I actually remember coming here a very long time ago -- exactly 11 years ago, back in 2015. At that time, I had dinner here with a friend who was living in West LA. Even though it was 11 years ago, I still remember that experience so clearly, almost like it happened yesterday. I remember the food being absolutely delicious, and I think it stayed in my memory because this restaurant was also a very popular and trendy place at the time. On Sunday, August 2rd, I came here again for a family lunch with my mom, my mom's friend who was visiting from Korea, and everyone else. We ordered Tom Yum Shrimp Soup, Pad Thai, Beef Pad See Ew, California Curry (Yellow Curry), Heavenly Combo (Fried Rice), White Rice, and Coconut Juice. Every single dish was absolutely delicious. The staff were also very friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. The restaurant has a good atmosphere, and another thing I like is that parking is free. I think I will definitely come back here whenever I crave Thai food in the future. After the meal, they gave us complimentary fortune cookies and almond cookies. My fortune cookie had a really positive message inside, which made me feel even happier. The almond cookie was also delicious. What a surprise! I was hesitant on coming here because it only has a 3.5 stars rating. Despite its reviews/rating, my partner insisted the food and service were really good -- and he was right! I was craving some really good Thai food and Natalee Thai never disappoints. Dined in on a Saturday late afternoon. No wait. The service was really fast and the food came out piping hot made fresh to order. The shrimp cake appetizers are so delicious and of course for my main dish I ordered the popular pad see ew (chicken). Can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The service was fast and everyone was very attentive and friendly. There is a parking lot in the back (free and plenty spaces). They have indoor and outdoor patio seating. I will say, when you first walk in through the back.... There is always a terrible smell (I believe it's the bathroom pipes.... But not sure). They should really look into fixing that. read more

Great customer service, clean restaurant with a cool vibe. Delicious food full of flavor without being greasy or soggy. The fried rice has chicken, shrimp and the most tender beef. I love that they keep the veggies with a little bite to them. The pad Thai has the perfect amount of sauce and peanuts. The wontons soup was soooo good. The crisp fresh bok choy and green onions with that flavorful broth and the wontons is definitely a must try. Whenever I'm on this side of town I have to make a stop. I went for the Tom Yum Chicken and Hot Stuff Chicken. Kept it keto. I havent had Tom Yum in a min. But this was ... very lack luster. I got the large and the amount of chicken is is less than the mushrooms. Well I got the medium spice level. And when I got the soup it was not hot temperature wise. We used to love this place and I gave them great reviews, but now they are just awful. I ordered pick up and when we go home are main dish, duck, was not there. We called and they said they would make it and have it delivered right away. Over an hour later, the duck is still not here and the manager, May might be her name as decided she did us a big favor. I could have driven there and back twice but now. Further, the dumplings were not hot and the rice is dry. They have agreed to give us $30 credit for my next visit. They should have just taken it off the bill. They claim they can't and I know for a fact that this is not a hard thing to do. I would love to tell you about the duck, but it is still not here and we are still waiting. The rest of our not great food is ruined. Natalee Thai has been around for decades. I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and we were seated right away. We ordered the pork shoulder and orange chicken with brown rice. Everything was good and fresh. We ordered the bbq beef to go but we're unpleasantly surprised that there was only two pieces of beef. For $28 definitely expected more. The broth it was served with was lightly sweet with a mild peppery note. Accompanying the pork shank was Chinese broccoli and a braised onion. This dish is heart and very satisfying. The service as Natalee Thai is always fiver star service. The wait staff is very hospitable, they make sure your every need is met. The dining area is spacious lending to an enjoyable dining experience. There is a large parking lot which is shared with a Smart and Final store. Came here on a Thursday evening and were seated immediately, it was moderately full around 6PM. Its an interesting building and decor that allows for a lot of natural light given where we were seated. I ordered the pad see ew, which came out pretty quick and was a good size. I ended up eating more than I thought I could, since the noodles were really good and a great chewy consistency! The prices were pretty average as well. Our male server was fine but there was a big ass long black hair and our egg rolls should have taken a photo no one acknowledge it or did anything about it. Does anyone know if they have new owners? Something feels very off. We moved to Culver city in December 1999. Their wonton soup had been go to for when I am sick...times of stress ...and all other maladies. They say they can't get their wrappers for their wontons. They haven't had wonton soup in a while and today when I told them all the Asian markets around them where they could get wrappers they were silent. I asked them if they were going to take it off their menu and they said they didn't know. What is going on? I drive by this place all the time but have never gone in except for this time--when my cousin had her birthday dinner here. Our server was Micah and he was very attentive and accommodating. I ordered the crispy tofu appetizer (9/10) and it had a crispy outside and soft interior. It was a bit too moist inside for me--I think they didn't drain enough liquid out of the tofu before frying. But it was still very good. I also had the fish with the curry sauce and that was so good 10/10! The fish was fried crispy and served hot in a bed of red curry. Food is always consistent and taste great, I'm not big on leaving reviews but I had to leave one this time because of the incredible service by our server Judy. I usually come weekends with my family and it's my first time seeing her here so I'm assuming she's new if not then her service was remarkable and worth the 5 stars. We defied on Natalee Thai for dinner last night. This is our favorite Thai restaurant. We got the Siamese shrimp (supposed to be spicy), shrimp pad Thai, and steamed shrimp dumplings. All of our food was delicious. The Siamese shrimp wasn't as spicy as I expected though. Been coming here for over 25 years and they're usually very consistent. The chicken satay is a really good appetizer. The yellow curry chicken is really good with carrots and potatoes. Not the best curry I have ever had, but is solid. I also like the chow mein not sure if that's Thai or Chinese, but it is pretty good with your choice of meat and vegetables. I stopped by here to grab pad thai since it was nearby and it was lunchtime; the flavor was okay but the portion was a lot smaller than I expected compared to other Thai restaurants that I've been to for what they charge - also customer service was a little bit awkward because there was a good amount of staff that was there, but no greeting or any word from them (from the moment I walked in + they all kind of just stood around). I have been coming to this location for years. My most recent visit was the first Sunday of the year on Jan 4th. I parked behind the restaurant which also shares a parking lot with Smart and Final. The restaurant was busy but I waited no time for a table for two. I asked for booth and was happily accommodated. I ordered my favorite dish, the Tom Yum soup with chicken. I was indecisive for my second dish so I simply ordered the Natalie Delight (a variety of appetizers. Lastly, I order a lychee martini for the first time. The Martini was 10/10 as it was right in the middle of sweet and alcoholic. It also came with fresh fruit! The soup in my opinion was not as hot as usual, but still amazing. The second dish had a similar issue as different items were not the same temperature. For example, the chicken sate was cold but I was hungry so didn't mind it. The Natalee Delight comes with Thai shrimp cake (5/10), chicken sate (7/10), Siam spring roll (8/10), and west side wontons (9/10). My overall experience was great aside from the inconsistent temperature which has never happened. read more

We started with the Natalie Fresh Rolls, which are their take on Vietnamese spring rolls. Honestly, they were disappointing. For $11.99, you only get two tiny rolls, much smaller than what you'd get at a typical Vietnamese restaurant. They tasted fine -- fresh and light -- but definitely not worth the price. I finished both in about three bites. Would I order them again? Absolutely not. Next up was the Chicken Larb. Oh my god, it was so spicy. The server didn't ask for a spice level, so we were caught off guard. I can usually handle heat pretty well, but this one really pushed it. If you have a low spice tolerance, stay away. The flavor was fresh and herbaceous, but not the best larb I've had -- just okay overall. Lastly, we got the Pad See Ew with fried tofu, and this was definitely the highlight. The tofu was amazing -- super flavorful, perfectly fried, and easily the best I've had in any Thai noodle dish. The noodles were seasoned really well, and I appreciated that they used authentic Chinese broccoli instead of regular broccoli. The only thing missing was that smoky, charred wok flavor I love. Still, this was the best dish of the night. That said, it was also $19, which feels steep for Pad See Ew. Overall, I'd say the food here is hit or miss. Some dishes are solid, but others feel overpriced for what you get. I get that it's Culver City, so prices run higher, but there are plenty of Thai restaurants in L.A. that deliver better value and flavor. My friend and I had dinner at Natalee's, and we had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Our waiter, whom we affectionately nicknamed "Judge Judy," asked about our palates and made excellent recommendations. She suggested the "Pink Fish and Chill" for me and another dish for my friend, and both meals were absolutely delicious. We couldn't have made better choices! Judy was everything you could want in a server--intelligent, warm, conversational, patient, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. I've been coming to Natalee Thai for a while now, at least the past couple of decades. I used to live in the area & it was my go-to for Thai food. My favorites are definitely the crab fried rice and the nutty chicken. Both are so flavorful & deeply satisfying. Sadly, they got rid of the crying tiger beef dish they used to have on the menu. Hopefully, they'll bring it back as I don't think I've had it quite as good anywhere else (hint, hint!). If you like Thai, definitely check out this place. read more
