The service was fast and everyone was very attentive and friendly. There is a parking lot in the back (free and plenty spaces). They have indoor and outdoor patio seating. Been coming here for over 25 years and they're usually very consistent. The chicken satay is a really good appetizer. The yellow curry chicken is really good with carrots and potatoes. We used to love this place and I gave them great reviews, but now they are just awful. I ordered pick up and when we go home are main dish, duck, was not there. We called and they said they would make it and have it delivered right away. Over an hour later, the duck is still not here and the manager, May might be her name as decided she did us a big favor. I could have driven there and back twice but now. Further, the dumplings were not hot and the rice is dry. They have agreed to give us $30 credit for my next visit. They should have just taken it off the bill. They claim they can't and I know for a fact that this is not a hard thing to do. Its an interesting building and decor that allows for a lot of natural light given where we were seated. I ordered the pad see ew, which came out pretty quick and was a good size. We defied on Natalee Thai for dinner last night. This is our favorite Thai restaurant. We got the Siamese shrimp (supposed to be spicy), shrimp pad Thai, and steamed shrimp dumplings. All of our food was delicious. The Siamese shrimp wasn't as spicy as I expected though. I've been coming to Natalee Thai for a while now, at least the past couple of decades. I used to live in the area & it was my go-to for Thai food. My favorites are definitely the crab fried rice and the nutty chicken. Both are so flavorful & deeply satisfying. Sadly, they got rid of the crying tiger beef dish they used to have on the menu. Hopefully, they'll bring it back as I don't think I've had it quite as good anywhere else (hint, hint!). If you like Thai, definitely check out this place. read more

I have been coming to this location for years. My most recent visit was the first Sunday of the year on Jan 4th. I parked behind the restaurant which also shares a parking lot with Smart and Final. The restaurant was busy but I waited no time for a table for two. I asked for booth and was happily accommodated. I ordered my favorite dish, the Tom Yum soup with chicken. I was indecisive for my second dish so I simply ordered the Natalie Delight (a variety of appetizers. Lastly, I order a lychee martini for the first time. The Martini was 10/10 as it was right in the middle of sweet and alcoholic. It also came with fresh fruit! The soup in my opinion was not as hot as usual, but still amazing. The second dish had a similar issue as different items were not the same temperature. For example, the chicken sate was cold but I was hungry so didn't mind it. The Natalee Delight comes with Thai shrimp cake (5/10), chicken sate (7/10), Siam spring roll (8/10), and west side wontons (9/10). Service was good and the ambiance was nice -- clean, modern, and comfortable. However, the prices here are very high, even for the area. We started with the Natalie Fresh Rolls, which are their take on Vietnamese spring rolls. Honestly, they were disappointing. For $11.99, you only get two tiny rolls, much smaller than what you'd get at a typical Vietnamese restaurant. They tasted fine -- fresh and light -- but definitely not worth the price. I finished both in about three bites. Would I order them again? Absolutely not. Next up was the Chicken Larb. Oh my god, it was so spicy. The server didn't ask for a spice level, so we were caught off guard. I can usually handle heat pretty well, but this one really pushed it. If you have a low spice tolerance, stay away. The flavor was fresh and herbaceous, but not the best larb I've had -- just okay overall. Lastly, we got the Pad See Ew with fried tofu, and this was definitely the highlight. The tofu was amazing -- super flavorful, perfectly fried, and easily the best I've had in any Thai noodle dish. The noodles were seasoned really well, and I appreciated that they used authentic Chinese broccoli instead of regular broccoli. The only thing missing was that smoky, charred wok flavor I love. Still, this was the best dish of the night. That said, it was also $19, which feels steep for Pad See Ew. Overall, I'd say the food here is hit or miss. Some dishes are solid, but others feel overpriced for what you get. I get that it's Culver City, so prices run higher, but there are plenty of Thai restaurants in L.A. that deliver better value and flavor. Yesterday I called Natalie Thai regarding a walk-in party of eight around 5:30 PM. I explained that I was about 30 minutes away and asked if that would be okay. I was initially told it was fine, but after being placed on hold, I was informed that I could no longer come in because there were two parties of ten ahead of us. I completely understand that situations change in the restaurant business, and as someone who has experience in hospitality and understands how restaurants operate, I truly respect that. This post is not about being upset over not being accommodated. I understand business and know that things happen. My issue is with how the situation was handled. I spoke with a manager, I believe his name was Kale, and during our conversation he became frustrated and told me, "Don't aggravate me," before hanging up the phone. As someone who has worked in hospitality for many years, I was simply trying to bring business to your establishment. I would have completely understood if I had been politely told there were limitations or circumstances preventing my party from being seated. Communication and professionalism go a long way. What made the experience more disappointing was that when I called back and asked to speak with a manager to explain how I felt, Kale began laughing during the conversation. I don't know if this was a communication issue or a misunderstanding, but the interaction felt very disrespectful. I'm writing this because Natalie Thai has great food and a good reputation, and I hope ownership sees this as constructive feedback and an opportunity to address situations like this moving forward. I ordered my usual, Broccoli and Oyster Sauce with Shrimp, and Spring Rolls. The broccoli and shrimp were cooked to perfection. My only complaint was I did not have enough Oyster Sauce and when I put the broccoli and shrimp over the rice it wasn't as good as I would have liked, but still good. The Spring Rolls were perfect.
