I'm trying to write a review for Molam, but where to start? What can I share about this place while…read morenot being unfair to anyone, including myself. I'm definitely coming back. I'm sure it's a five-star restaurant, but I'm having a problem pulling all the stars together. One short visit isn't enough. I want and need more. It was my third attempt to get into Molam. This time I was by myself. That's probably why I was immediately offered a seat at the bar by the open kitchen. It seems like it is impossible to get a table without a reservation. This place has an interesting vibe. It's lively, energetic, and exciting. The light and the colors reminded me of vintage photography, really neat. Anyway, from the beginning, I decided to have one of their very creative, Thai-inspired cocktails. Fun! The female server, super friendly by the way, immediately asked whether I needed any recommendations. Well, I didn't, but why not? I asked for something tasty, strong and pretty. 'Hanuman' was oh! so delicious, and good looking. It was sweet and sour with different textures, which is probably unusual for alcoholic beverages. I couldn't tell whether it was strong. Because it was my first time at Molam, I decided to have the only noodle dish on the menu. My goal was to see and taste the difference between the Pad See Ew from my local Thai restaurants and this restaurant that has been in the Michelin Guide since 2023. It was a perfectly prepared dish. If I could change anything, it would be the portion size. It was the smallest Thai dish I've ever had:). Sitting in front of the kitchen was truly entertaining. I felt harmony and sanity, even when the restaurant was full. The three chefs shared and filled the space, creating a perfect team. There are no chopsticks at Molam, and you can't order a dish with varying degrees of spiciness. Everything is prepared in its own way. You have to ask which dishes are really spicy. These will definitely not be my choice. My server asked if I wanted another drink and I said no, because the bar stool wasn't very comfortable. She didn't offer any dessert ;). ...to be continued.

Full bar with some great sounding cocktails. We had a few which were all great but i can't rember the names ! Lots of fruity ones on the list. Foodwise it's not a huge menu but a good choice of select faves . We tried the Khao soi which was good but could have been a bit soupier . Really good flavor though. The pad see ew was really good and came out piping hot! Love the noodles. Lots of veggies . We also tried the Gai yang, grilled chicken thighs with a nice charred flavor and good spices but not spicy. The Nahm prik pao also a solid choice, soupy with lots of flavor , basil, veggies, chilli jam and crispy garlic. Delicious! The sticky rice and roti were also great with everything we had. We definitely had some delicious food here with good speedy service and nice drinks. Great Thai food not your traditional kinda place but very cool at that. Great satisfying dinner .

The food is well prepared, nicely served and usually pretty tasty. The choice is really extensive and covers various Asian cuisines (Japanese, Thai, Korean, etc). I always have a feeling that it is expensive though and I am not sure that it is a deserved opinion. The menu is so tempting that I always want to order about 10 dishes (excluding sushi) which would be very expensive so I don't and feel like it was too expensive, even though I wouldn't be able to eat it all. Main courses could be a bit bigger though, even if it was just more rice. Memo to self: order a big binge feast there sometime with at least 10 dishes and take a hungry friend.

We liked so much we returned a 2nd time, our only repeat meal over 2 weeks in Europe! We had two types of Curry, Panang and Yellow, both were great. We asked to substitute Chicken vs the Shrimp or other meats shown on menu with those curry and they accommodated without any fuss and charged us the lower price for Chicken (vs Shrimp) without even being requested. The Thai Soup in Coconut base was excellent as well. The Chicken Kapungi was surprisingly deep fried which we didn't get from the menu - tasty but we wouldn't get that one again. Chicken Skewers were very good. Prices reasonable including the drinks. Highly recommended. We didn't try the sushi from that menu, it was a bit higher priced (for Poland) but I am guessing top notch based on the restaurant but we didn't feel it worth trying that on this trip given we have access to great Sushi back home.

The service was a little slow compared to even my European travels. We started off with a drink. My husband got a beer and I got a Thai queen martini. The martini was sweet and in my opinion not strong. Next we got an appetizer of chicken satay. It was very small and consisted of three sticks with not a lot of meat on it. There was peanut dipping and cucumber sauce. The peanut sauce was nothing like anything I tasted in regular Thai dishes. For our main meals I got the green prawn curry at level 5 spice. It was a little spicy for me but I added additional seasoning to make it better for me. My level of spice is very different than the average person. For a normal person the level 5 would be spicy. My husband ordered the yellow chicken curry. There was no spice since it was yellow curry. My husband added a little add seasoning to it for his liking of spice. Which to be honest is not much. Overall it was decent food but nothing like true Thai food.

Let's dig into my lunch. Tea: Jasmine pearls. Nice tea with delicate flavor. As bagged teas go it was really quite good since it not only used the super flowy bags and had nice Jasmine pearls inside it that opened up and made for a tasty brew. Lunch: I ordered the chicken with Thai basil, rice and a fried egg. Ironically the easiest thing killed my experience. The chicken dish tasted fantastic. It was spiced exactly at I hoped for which is really unusual for Poland where chefs underseason as the norm likely because the Polish palette isn't really used to spicy food. So far everything was perfect. My waitress was attentive, the food was great, unfortunately there was something on top of my rice, an indecipherable mess of brown grease and dense yellow substance that used to perhaps be an egg. Sorry... This just won't do. When you put a fork to an egg on top of rice should break the yolk and it should flow out like the perfect, beautiful, simple sauce that it is. This one needed a knife to cut it and even that would have just made flakes of dry egg yolk. Bleach! After taking a moment of praise to reflect on the situation I decided to address the issue directly. I asked the waitress to please have kitchen re-fire the egg as this one was clearly inedible (or at least very unappetizing.) She didn't hesitate to comply and within a couple of minutes I had a perfectly cooked egg on top of my rice and the previous egg carnage was removed from the table. Oh, so he can cook an egg? Yes she says. I finished my lunch and then popped the big question. Well, actually two of them: 1) Why did the chef burn the hell out of my egg to begin with? 2) Why did the waitress serve it? It was obviously not right. The answer to both questions is that they were to busy. To busy to pay attention to basic quality isn't a good thing in a food service environment. Get it together please. I'll try again because the food quality and the taste was great otherwise. Also, to end on a good note and explain why I'm giving this place two stars when my review was more indicative of less, I ordered a Sok Mango (Mango Juice). It was fantastic! Really really great! Worth the whole negative experience just to drink it. The waitress made it on the spot and I loved it! Get it! It's worth at least one star on it's own!

The freshly prepared jug of mango juice was amazing and sufficient reason to come by itself. If you are a fan of Thai appetisers, you will be disappointed as the menu is strictly main courses and desserts. The restaurant is in a surprising location well out of the centre but worth finding. The interior is light and welcoming and very stylish and a pleasant place to sit. One star deducted due to the poor ventilation of the open plan kitchen which means you leave smelling of fried food and for the napkins that are a hangover of communist days, tiny, non-absorbent and completely useless.
