I am so thankful for the Nurture Nashville Yoga studio! The prenatal yoga classes have not only…read morehelped me physically prepare for having my first baby by showing me exercises to strengthen appropriate muscles, different positions and breathing techniques, but also given me confidence that I am doing the best I can to prepare my body for childbirth. I'm looking forward to participating in the New Moms group after I deliver, and the baby and me and the pelvic floor strength rebuilding classes after I give birth. Thank you, Jenni, for creating an amazing studio for this season of life - I'm so glad I found this community!

Nurture is the right word! I found this studio on the mind-body app. I was looking for something…read moreclose, and it was right around the corner in West Nashville! It has been years since I have attended an in person class. After the pandemic and such a stressful couple of years, my body had changed and I needed something restorative and gentle to help me build my strength and flexibility back up. I was greeted with a smile and felt very welcome. The instructor asked me if I was working with any health challenges and I was able to modify everything. There was no pressure to be perfect and I felt that everyone was friendly, and still respected my privacy and "stayed on their own mat". I wasn't really sure If I would be able to make it through the class, but it was just the right amount for me and although I was challenged I still felt relaxed afterwards. I felt totally safe if I needed to skip a pose or take a break. There is a meditative aspect to the class and at the end it was such a grounding experience that I am definitely coming back! They have a new client deal on the app so I suggest booking that way. They will meet you where you are at!

The Jenerator - Try the ROM!!!!

This year she opened her own small place in the space under Second Story Studio, next to Sportsman Grill on Harding Pike. Hers is the only workout facility with a ROM - Range of Motion machine, with two functions: the front is a rower and the back is a stair stepper. You are only supposed to do 4 minutes on each, but if you do it right, you will find yourself completely out of breath and needing a break. We incorporate the ROM into my circuit training and it all is very effective - gives me lots of energy (I am naturally kind of low energy) and just makes me feel good. BTW - I am one of those people who knows it is good for me, knows I will feel good after, but am not crazy about exercising. Jen is a very positive, fun person who makes it as fun as it can be, and finds ways to mix it up for me. She is also very patient, not giving up on me when I go through my slug-like periods.

It is right in the LL Market off of Charlette Pike with plenty of FREE parking behind the building. I have yet stressed about parking since this building has open (I hope it stays this way). The studio comes with complimentary face towels and yoga mats and yoga blocks. There are storage lockers near the back to lock your personal belongings. This studio has great bathrooms and showers if you need to head out somewhere after. After each yoga practice they give you frozen lavender towels that help with getting your body temperature back down and wiping your face. This is by far my favorite part. They have different classes and welcome all levels! Note that when you sign up to arrive at least 5-10 minutes early since the studio is First come first served on where your placement is in the studio. Note that peak hours to arrive earlier or you will be stuck near the door (the coolest spot).
