LEAN Personal Training

Professional trainers that ACTUALLY cater to your personalized physical heatlh needs!…read more My previous trainer in Chicago was actually overweight which made me feel like, "If he's asking me to do these things, shouldn't he practice what he preaches?!" So when I moved to Nashville, I ventured out to find a new personal trainer in Nashville, independent of large franchised gyms. When I first walked into LEAN, I was pretty nervous. You know walking into a gym with fit people and me walking with my gut hanging out made me feel really uncomfortable. But all the trainers aren't here to judge, they're here to actually make you feel better by losing weight and making you stronger and even provide educational classes on nutrition on occasion. I've been going to LEAN for the past few months and they really know how to motivate you to go one step further that I probably wouldn't be able to do on my own. For me and probably like many others, I lacked the motivation to push myself to my limit, hindered by negative attitude. The trainers at LEAN positively motivate and encourage you to do your best and whip you up into shape. If your New Year's resolution is to get in shape in Nashville, go to LEAN personal training!

I've been going to Lean since September 2018, working with Scott McCaa, and I can't say enough…read moreabout my experience! I'm normally not one to write reviews but working with Scott has truly transformed my health and confidence. In addition to eating healthy foods, I'm in the best shape of my life thanks to Scott. He pushes me to workout harder than I would alone, he makes sure I have the right form so the exercises are both safe and effective, and he's constantly changing the exercises and increasing the endurance so that my body continues to improve and we meet my goals. I was never someone who liked working out but honestly I've reached a point where I not only enjoy it but look forward to it, and that's thanks to Scott. I've lost 25 pounds and feel significantly stronger throughout my entire body. I can do exercises I was not able to do before (and would not have attempted) such as dead lifting 175 pounds. So if you are wondering if a trainer is worth the time and money, in my experience, I would say that it absolutely is. Personal training is a serious time and money commitment, however, you will achieve things you never thought you could. I would highly recommend working with Lean, specifically Scott McCaa. Over the 8 months I've been going there all of the trainers I've interacted with have been friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Thank you Scott!

Next Level Fitness has truly become my second home. The trainers are knowledgeable, fun, welcoming…read moreand approachable. I've trained consistently 3 times a week with David Harvick for the last 4 years and not once have I regretted my investment. I reached out to NLF to feel good in my own skin before my wedding and have kept with it because I consistently see both physical and mental benefits from a regular training routine. I have tried a variety of different workout routines but would either get bored or feel like exercise was a chore. Each session with David is different and challenging but with his encouragement, technical knowledge, and warm personality I know that I can keep going (even when I don't want to hop on the tread mill). He goes above and beyond for his clients, including bringing over equipment and writing home workouts during the COVID lockdown so that I could maintain my routine. Although I've seen great physical results, I think what has benefited the most from working with David has been my relationship with food and fitness. After years of obsessing over weight, I have had a mental shift and take pride in being strong and building muscle. I feel confident that I am taking care of myself in the best way possible. Jack and the other trainers at NLF have created a space where people of all ages and fitness levels feel capable and welcome. They don't just care about their own clients, the entire training staff wants to see you grow and accomplish your goals both in and out of the gym. I have worked with a few of the other trainers at the gym as well, and have consistently had top notch training where I would work with any of them again. Whether you are a rookie looking to establish a workout routine or a seasoned pro wanting to prep for an upcoming professional sports season, I am confident that NLF will exceed your expectations.

After signing up for a free consultation with Next Level Fitness, I signed up to meet with Dallas…read moreand now have had about 4-5 sessions with her. I highly recommend working with her because of the following: 1) Attention to detail (In 2 sessions she knew exactly what my physical limits were and built workouts to help me learn better form and build my body in a healthy and manageable way) 2) Undivided attention (I never had her look at her phone or talk to someone else during our sessions, she's always 100% attentive to you, and that's something I really appreciate) 3) Nutrition mentoring (I don't eat unhealthy things, but Dallas made me realize foods that were better alternatives and which ones I should stay away from in order to achieve a better workout and achieve the physique I wanted. She'll never shame you for indulging in sweets or carbs either, which I'm definitely grateful for) 4) Knows when you push you and when to rest (I used to always get sick after high intensity workout classes and could never get through group sessions, but Dallas made workouts that challenged me without overextending my body. I always leave Next Level Fitness knowing my body was pushed to its limits in a healthy way) 5) Fun workouts that are engaging and different! (Honestly I would be the last person to say this, but dare I say that workouts now are actually fun?! Whether we're doing floor exercises, stuff on a machine or weights, I never know what's coming next. If you're like me and always wanted to try new things at the gym but didn't know how, Dallas will definitely build your confidence and get you excited about challenging yourself!) Since the first day, the owner Jack has always remembered my name and greets you when you come and when you leave. No matter who's in the gym you always feel so welcomed, which I can't say for anywhere else I've been! For COVID procedures, I felt that they took good precautions to make sure the safety of everyone is prioritized. Next Level Fitness makes sure to have a certain number of people in the gym at all times and the trainer wipes down everything as soon as you've used it. If you prefer the trainer to wear a mask they can. Just some extra brownie points: The gym playlist is ALWAYS poppin' and the bathrooms are SERIOUSLY amazing. The luxurious feel when you step into this gym is unlike any other, which is so weird to say because it's a GYM! You definitely get your money's worth and coming here is absolutely an enjoyable and fun experience, so don't hesitate and try this place out!

I trained with Holly for 3 years. She is that magical blend of hardass and soft touch that works…read moreso well for my personality! I'm not a boot camp kind of girl, so anyone yelling at me isn't going to see me ever again. Holly's encouraging voice, coupled with her no-nonsense, take no prisoners approach is perfect. I never got away with a bad body position, especially if it made it easier to perform an action. She KNOWS. I suffer from low back pain and was not a runner when I began training with her. I now run/walk 3.1 miles every week, with the goal of running that full 5K by the end of summer. And my back issues have improved over the course of our workouts. and because I'm stronger and know how to safely execute movements, I'm able to tackle weight training. If you're looking to gain strength in a supportive environment, become a runner, or improve your athletic ability, I can't recommend Holly enough.
