I was walking down Chapel Street on my way to a meeting and realised I hadn't had breakfast and was HUNGRY! Chapel Street is not all that populated at 10am in the morning and all the cool cafes are not to be found on the street itself. I walked past the newly renovated Jam Factory just to try my luck and see if there was anywhere in there with decent breakfast options that didn't just contain sugar.
Enter Nashi. Firstly, I LOVE Nashi pears so the name was a winner and secondly, everything about this little cafe type shop is cool. Their packaging is awesome. Everything is branded 'Nashi' with cool labels.
They have small takeaway containers with instant porridge, muesli and pho! Yes, you heard me right :) They also serve Boscastle pies, many variations of toasted paninis, bagels, sandwiches (with GF options), juice and teadrop tea. I didn't have a coffee but was admiring their very cool green coffee machine.
They seem to be set up really well and the music was a little offensive for 10am in the morning but the owner got really embarrassed and went to change the music as soon as Jay Z dropped the F-Bomb.
They have seats in the little area of the cafe but also outside. It's kinda like a foodcourt but a nicer version. read more
