Mac & Cheese and the Nash & Smashed Sandwich
    Mike K.

For starters you see that the place shares a location with a gas station mini mart type place so that may put you off. But this place was fire. Obviously the vibe of the place isn't anything crazy as previously mentioned it shares a location with a gas station. The service is done through a quick service order machine. The food was amazing - the burger I got was a Nashville hot sandwich and a burger put into the same bun which was an amazing surprise. The side of mac and cheese which I mixed with their signature sauce also was great and special.

Very lowkey location inside the Exxon, but they don't sacrifice quality! On my visit I tried the tenders. All I can say is WOW. For starters: they allowed me to get the extreme heat flavor, which is typically only for sandwiches (top tier customer service if you ask me). I'm a spice lunatic, so it ended up being the perfect heat. Any spicier and it would have been too much. Overall, these were some of the most tender and juicy tenders I have had anywhere; they were also crispy on the outside, which is what made them so delicious. Looking forward to going back and trying a burger!

It was really outstanding. The smash burger was perfectly done. And the chicken strips were some of the best I've had.

There is metered street parking and commercial lots/garages within a reasonable walking distance from here. They serve wraps, salads, and cold and hot sandwiches. I ordered the Korean Steak Sandwich. It took them about 10 to 15 minutes to prepare my sandwich. They should use a number system for order pickups because people, including myself, had difficulty determining which order they were serving. Many of the sandwich names sounded alike. My sandwich was kind of small for the price, and it wasn't very filling. It was, however, very good. It was flavorful and packed with flavor. The service was ok. It was nothing special. They did their job and did not go beyond or be overly friendly. All in all, I would recommend checking this deli out for some really good sandwiches. They really do live up to their name, the Best Sandwich Place.

Personally, don't think the hype meets the expectations. But with that said, it's still a good wrap and I'd get it again but I don't think it's the best wrap I've had or worth going out of your way for. If you're hungry and near by, sure go get it but don't make any special trips just for this wrap. Id love to try their other options on the menu at some point!

The chocolate eclair was completely frozen and stale with hardened pastry cream and ice fragments. We let the staff at the counter know in case the refrigeration temperatures were off. The canele was rubbery and chewy with an eggy aftertaste unlike the caneles we've had at the McLean location. Three in a group of five felt abdominal discomfort after having the pastries. The Rustic Boule, again something we've bought multiple times was doughier than usual, without the hearty pores and crust, like it was packed warm days ago. The saving grace was the pistachio orange blossom tart. Stars are for the tart and one of the guys at the counter who was kind enough to hold on to a sling bag the 7 year old left behind. Kid was in tears but knowing the bag was safe brought a smile to her face while we drove back to get it.

A friend invited me to go on a little Duke's tour with her, and this was our first stop. They were decked out in panda decor and had a charming menu. I was mainly there for their drinks, but I decided to try their quinoa salad too. What a hefty, satisfying salad! The butternut squash, goat cheese, and pumpkin seeds were the highlights. Based on this initial experience, I'd be back for sure. Good happy hour too. Now, this location may be a little out of my way, but thankfully there are closer Duke's.

Server came by, not so much as a greeting or introduction, just a short, "do you know what you want?" Fine - no problem. We ordered two avocado toasts and side of fries to share. Now, the menu clearly says the avocado toasts are served with a "runny egg". Ok sure, no problem. What i did not anticipate was a half raw egg with the yolk swimming in a sea of translucent completely uncooked "whites". It was like a golden disc encased in a snot rocket. Ok, maybe that's their "runny". Slide it off the toast and press on - snail trail of mucus be damned. The avocado spread was great - bright, citrusy, and well seasoned. The "hot sauce" was likely from a bottle and could have been left off. The radishes would have benefitted from being tossed in lemon, salt and pepper. The image of the "runny" egg was too much so I ate half the toast serving and meandered to the fries. Not bad, crispy , hot, and...wait...sweet...something is off, I can't put my finger on it but at least it's not a raw egg. I keep eating. My kids looks at me and says, "do these remind you of funnel cake?" THAT'S IT - FUNNEL CAKE. We have both had enough, ask for the check. The server comes by gives me the clunky machine, I tap and put it down, he reaches for it and I say, it's processing, I still have to sign...and then he starts snapping his fingers...WHAT IN THE ACTUAL €¥($ ARE WE DOING RIGHT NOW?!? Never again. Never, again.
