Overall, I like the paint job Barbour did of the interior of my home. The price was unbeatable and…read morethey were very accommodating of our schedule; we were home for one week of the job, and away for the second as the ceilings had to be scraped. The colors are fresh and I love how they patched cracks and caulked things in. I give them 3 stars for a few reasons. The first being the mess. Our house was EXTREMELY dusty with gypsum when we arrived home at the end of the project, even in the insides of closets that hadn't even been painted. It took us days to wash and wipe everything down, and we were sneezing and itching the whole time and had to wear masks. I was told that everything would be cleaned with Simple Green, so it was very disconcerting that it clearly wasn't. Even now, weeks later, you can bump a baseboard and white dust will fall off/out. We have green overspray on our light colored stamped concrete walkway and the exterior siding of the house around it, texture on the tops of ceiling fans and light switches, and paint drips on our interior wooden floors, which had been covered. It seems like while we were home they were very meticulous, but while we were gone they felt free to be sloppy and disregard our property and belongings. Second, they removed a ceiling fan at my request, which I appreciated, but we came home to it broken, with paint all over it, and found it sitting in the pouring rain on the porch. Needless to say, we had to purchase a new ceiling fan and are very bummed that the old one is no longer usable. Third, I was not pleased that my request for a change order was ignored. The estimator, Rodger, was great. Friendly, accommodating and promised me the world. Once I signed the contract, though, I never heard from him again. I had sent him a change order in writing two days after I signed and never heard back. I figured he maybe would tell the crew what I wanted. I felt like I had to hound the project manager about things that weren't done "correctly" because nobody ever acknowledged the change order. I even told him what I wanted more than once, and offered to pay extra to ensure they got done. But in the end I just gave up on getting everything I wanted.

If we could give Sergio and his team more than five stars we would. Choosing the right paint…read morecompany can be stressful and we hit the jackpot with Blank Canvas. Sergio was wonderful at communicating, always replying to inquiries in a timely manner. When we decided on the paint color, Sergio was kind enough to paint a big swatch of the two colors on our home to make sure they were the colors we wanted. The base paint seemed too light so Sergio offered to get another sample that was more saturated, which is what we ultimately decided on. I was extremely grateful he went the extra mile to get the exact color. The crew was great as well. They were always timely and worked diligently and efficiently. Sergio was on sight every day to inspect the work and point out anything that needed to be addressed. We were also pleased with their prep gob. They spent over three days power washing and preparing the house to be painted. If the prep job is sloppy, the paint will not last, so it was great that they were so conscientious about it. We had some dry rot on one of the windows which was in the contract to address. As Sergio was inspecting the house, he noticed more dry rot on a smaller window 30 feet from the ground. He fixed that little portion free of charge. We were impressed that he pointed it out as we would not have noticed it. A less conscientious, honest painting company might just paint over it. The entire process from the beginning of the project to the end was wonderful. Did we mention he is extremely reasonable as well? We have already started telling friends and neighbors how wonderful Blank Canvas is, and now we are telling you :-)

You genuinely cannot tell there was ever a hole there -- the patch, texture, and paint match are flawless. David and his crew were professional, tidy, and clearly take real pride in their craft. What stood out most was how honest they were about pricing. No upselling, no surprise charges, no nickel-and-diming -- just fair, transparent pricing for quality work. In a world where so many transactions feel rushed and impersonal, it was refreshing to work with a small business owner who actually cares about doing the job right. We will absolutely be using Paintmasters for any painting or repair needs in the future, and I'd recommend them to anyone in the Concord area without hesitation. Thanks again, David -- great work!

I had just ordered my door and thought it would be available to be stained real soon. The sales team at the door place forgot to mention that ordering doors is a multi-month ordeal.
