Well, I've got to say I love my Dr. Brian Chudik, i've been a patient of his for approximately 20…read moreyears. The problem is the Hospital, works for the Advocate, group. In recent years they've gone to a telephone system where I believe they answer your call out of State. You have to put your birthdate in First so they can route you to the right people and then when they do that you gotta tell them who your doctor is, what your birthdate is again and you have to leave a message and they never ever, ever contact you back. I physically had to make an appointment with the doctor just so I can ask him a question because there's a problem with one of my prescriptions. In my opinion, this is ridiculous. Years ago you could call the doctors office and they would usually get back to you later on that day but not anymore. Corporate America is taking over everything and they are destroying it in the same breath.

The last review by Kevin A. is very accurate. Beware this office. I have used their doctors for…read moreyears but will never set foot in their office or any Advocate office after my most recent experience. A few quick points: - They are extremely expensive: A simple diagnosis of a sinus infection, which I told then I had, five minutes with the doctor cost $179.00. That is with medical coverage from a Fortune 500 company. - They are well known to charge outrageous prices: As I said, I had been going there for years but something has really changed. After being overcharged I started looking for a new doctor using my health plan. One tool compared average area costs for common appointments against the individual office they were reviewing. This Advocate Medical Group's office was 70% HIGHER then even the area average in Algonquin. This is a con-job. - They will not respond to your requests without constant pressure: Kevin A. had the same experience I'm having. They are totally unresponsive. Their tactic is to avoid you. Avoid this office like the plague. Avoid Advocate as a whole if this is how they run their business.

I've only written two reviews in my life -- one for a patio installation, and now this. I'm a…read moresuccessful, educated, professional, family man, and I was so alarmed by how transactional this doctor's approach was that I had to speak up. Dr. James Nikoleit walked in 10 minutes late with no apology, told me to "sit down" when I asked a simple question from one of their own pamphlets, and rushed through the entire visit. Told me 'I don't have to read it to him, he knows what it is, now put that back and sit down'. When I explained I'd actually started feeling better after stopping the medication he prescribed, he said, "maybe we should have increased the dosage instead, not stopping it". When I asked more questions on symptoms, etc. - he got very short, got up and said it sounded like we're done, no more time. He got visibly upset when I told him he showed up 10min late to me. He walked out. That summed up the visit -- no listening, no curiosity, just an automatic push for another prescription and another billable cycle. I could feel and see his pivot when he learned of lost 'business'. Weeks later, I can now say with certainty: I feel 100% better off the medication he wanted me to take more of. It confirmed what I suspected -- this practice runs like a revenue engine, where patients are time-boxed, rushed, and billed, and where keeping the prescription annuity flowing seems more important than genuine care or outcomes. In past visits, he spent more time talking about his old Porsche or golf clubs than my health. But I get told there is no time to talk about my medical concerns. What?! It's clear the focus is volume, not value. For more context: a family member of mine was misdiagnosed by another doctor in this same practice -- told his symptoms were "just depression." He suffered a major stroke the next day. And just this week, a family friend saw this same doctor and left in tears after being cut off mid-sentence and told she needed a "separate visit" to ask her questions. Too many things too close to home. This office has become a transaction factory, not a place of care. If you want a doctor who actually listens and cares about outcomes -- not billing codes -- go somewhere else.

Both my husband and I have been with his practice for 5 years. Everyone is kind and professional and efficient. Appts are easy to make. Waiting time, if any, is brief. They listen to what you say, you're never made to feel rushed, they give you options, and they guide you to the best path of treatment. Labs can be drawn there with results given within appropriate times. Return calls are always completed. For me, Dr Salvi is old-school, and that's a compliment for those of us who remember how doctors used to be......so with much gratitude to Dr Salvi and his team, and with much encouragement to the reader, you would be most happy at this practice. Blessings.

Dr. Salvi is warm and friendly and shares himself as a real person. He is the first doctor we've had in a long time who really seems to give you his full, caring attention. He contributes useful practical information in a discussion and brings good common sense into his practice as well as medical expertise. I love seeing a doctor who has expertise but also respects his clients' experience and the information they bring to the table. As I said to him, I think we've finally found our doc!!
