Dr. James Nikoleit walked in 10 minutes late with no apology, told me to "sit down" when I asked a simple question from one of their own pamphlets, and rushed through the entire visit. Told me 'I don't have to read it to him, he knows what it is, now put that back and sit down'. When I explained I'd actually started feeling better after stopping the medication he prescribed, he said, "maybe we should have increased the dosage instead, not stopping it". When I asked more questions on symptoms, etc. - he got very short, got up and said it sounded like we're done, no more time. He got visibly upset when I told him he showed up 10min late to me. He walked out. That summed up the visit -- no listening, no curiosity, just an automatic push for another prescription and another billable cycle. I could feel and see his pivot when he learned of lost 'business'. Weeks later, I can now say with certainty: I feel 100% better off the medication he wanted me to take more of. It confirmed what I suspected -- this practice runs like a revenue engine, where patients are time-boxed, rushed, and billed, and where keeping the prescription annuity flowing seems more important than genuine care or outcomes. In past visits, he spent more time talking about his old Porsche or golf clubs than my health. But I get told there is no time to talk about my medical concerns. What?! It's clear the focus is volume, not value. For more context: a family member of mine was misdiagnosed by another doctor in this same practice -- told his symptoms were "just depression." He suffered a major stroke the next day. And just this week, a family friend saw this same doctor and left in tears after being cut off mid-sentence and told she needed a "separate visit" to ask her questions. Too many things too close to home. This office has become a transaction factory, not a place of care. If you want a doctor who actually listens and cares about outcomes -- not billing codes -- go somewhere else.

They listen to what you say, you're never made to feel rushed, they give you options, and they guide you to the best path of treatment. Labs can be drawn there with results given within appropriate times. Return calls are always completed. It feels like you have to fight to get an appointment when you need to be seen on short notice. Our family continues to go because the doctors are great and I feel they follow our care thoroughly.

They required me to change my primary care doctor with insurance, so I did and made an appointment. At the appointment he walked in and said "I do not treat pain here!" He did this without even looking at the 2 inch thick stack of paperwork, nor did he look at the surgeries I had just days prior. I believe he is trying to scam insurance companies for the initial visits and has no interest in helping anyone. Treated me incredibly rude and without any respect. She had her series of epidural steroid injections with an Anesthesiologist at the local hospital. Nothing relieved her pain. My mom has been in pain for so long now that her entire personality and desire to be social had vanished. It literally broke my heart to see my mom in such pain. For the last resort, (my mom does not like to go to the doctor and she had so much pain with the ESIs that she was afraid) I asked her to make an appointment with Dr. Faubel to see if she was a candidate for Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA). I know that Dr. Faubel is the only physician in the area who performs this cutting edge procedure and is also a Fellowship trained physician. This procedure would be a last ditch effort for pain relief for my mom. She made the appointment (reluctantly) and was a candidate for the procedure. My mom is back to being 'my mom' again. Her pain is gone. The sparkle is back in her eye. Dr. Faubel was wonderful with her during each visit! His assistant Carlie was compassionate and professional, as well. For all of those patients suffering from debilitating back pain, do not give up hope. Make an appointment with Dr. Faubel. His office staff was great and got me scheduled right away. None of the stuff I had done in the past helped my pain. He suggested an injection. I was hesitant, but decided it was worth trying. The injection was fast and painless. Felt better after a few days. Couldn't believe how easy it was. Guess that's why hes the spine guy! Back pain is all but gone and I'm back golfing again!!
