First off, it's not exactly "hop on hop off." They weren't running as many shuttles, so we had to wait an hour between shuttles. The best part of the tour is around 5th Ave. Going further north than the zoo was just boring. Glad I paid for it with Groupon otherwise I would have given this ONE star. read more

Fun tour with some nice historical information. We just stayed in (didn't hop on hop off). It's a recorded tour but the driver adds commentary to engage the group. Bring a small pillow or roll up a sweater for your back as the seats are uncomfortable. It's kind of hard to find the office, we parked by tin city but had to ask around as it wasn't obvious where to go. read more

Do not trust the naples trolley drivers! They do not know what they are doing when it comes to driving a big bus. They ran 2 cars to the side of the road coming out of Victoria Park, no regard for where they were going or what they were doing, putting the people in the bus and the 2 cars in danger! This will take you to varies places and see what the location have to offer and make notes on wanting to go those location on a later date and time. I cannot describe what a terrific tour guide Steve is. When it comes to his effortless fluidity, knowledge, or people-skills he really has it all. On top of all that, he really knows how to operate the trolley which for the layman seems impossible! This is a great tour! If you are visiting Naples- I suggest you take this tour on your first day here. Start the tour early at the visitor center with the little museum and historic pictures/ information. Ride and listen the whole 2 hour tour to get the history of Naples, lay of the land, and insight of places to eat, shop, visit. Then you have the rest of the day you can ride the trolly and get on and off when you want to. (Watch the schedule or call the tourist center for trolly location through the day so you can time your pickup. They have gps on the trollys and can give you pretty accurate time frames) Phil, our guide was a pleasure and had a lot of great history facts and suggestions of places to visit. (Parks, waterfront restaurants, high end and other types of shops- the things I'd want to know if I was visiting a new area.) I am new to the area and found it interesting. I was the only one on the trolley in the morning...I really enjoyed the lady who was my tour guide. I was alone for the day when my husband went fishing, so I decided to do the trolley tour. There was some reviews that said it was not much but high end housing but I found the history interesting and informative. I throughly enjoyed my day! I got lucky and it was a 1/2 off day. I recommend the tour and you can get off and on if you want to spend more time at one of their stops to shop or just look around or have lunch it makes for a very enjoyable day. read more

Excellent trolley tour of Naples with Steve. Very comprehensive, informative, and enjoyable

I was disappointed in the tour, feeling it was overpriced for what we got. As others have already said, the cashier is not the friendliest person, displaying displeasure at giving us a whopping $2 discount. I got the feeling that good help is hard to find in Naples. The trolley has wood seats with a thin 'throw' pad, making it fairly uncomfortable. Then, it's an open-air car with plastic roll down windows for those colder days. On the day we went, the middle of January, it was windy and cold. The driver lowered the plastic to protect us, but the plastic is old and very difficult to see through. That left us with choosing between not seeing anything, or moving to the back where there was no protection and really cold. Our driver was pretty good and did a good job of filling the two hours we spent navigating the highways and streets of Naples. If it wasn't for his narration, the 'tour' would've been totally useless. You could easily just drive up and down the streets of Naples and see the same stuff. In fact, if you choose to do that, pick up a brochure and just go down the same streets. Easily half of the tour was going down streets that have no special meaning, history, or anything else. There were a few times when the driver's narration made the sights more interesting, although not too many. Hopefully, the driver and his family eat for free in Naples. According to him, every restaurant we passed was "outstanding", "terrific", "has great food", and so on. It did get a little silly. read more

My husband and thoroughly enjoyed our tour today. Steve was our driver and tour guide. He was very friendly and very knowledgeable about Naples and had great stories to tell. I especially enjoyed hearing about Barron Collier and how he helped shape Naples as to what it is today. I enjoyed seeing all the mansions, shopping areas, and waterways. After our tour, we went back to the Venetian Village ourselves and had lunch at The Pub, which Steve highly recommended. We sat outside and had great views of the waterway. Great trolley tour of Naples, Wayne was great. I was born in Naples and know most everything he says, but it is still interesting once every few years to take the trolley ride. My son loved it, thought it was like Daniel Tigers trolley. The ride goes from Old Naples, all the way up to Vanderbilt Beach. It makes the scheduled stops and mentions the businesses that pay money. No extraordinary information is revealed, but it is still interesting, none the less. I just relaxed and noticed things that I usually don't notice driving myself or being driven by my wife. My son got bored after a little while, but he gets bored with most things. read more

This was the worst tour my friend and I have ever been on. We spent the first 40 minutes driving non stop on a highway at 50 mph. Horrible. After that, the driver recommended a restaurant with "gorgeous views". It was in a shopping center and the view was of the marina! Not what I was expecting. Then we had to wait an hour to get back on the trolley. The attractions pointed out were of things like the Ritz Carlton at a distance. I suppose if this is your first time off the farm, you might be excited by this. The only interesting part of the tour was one street with interesting houses which lasted about 10 minutes. This tour of nothing took up almost my whole birthday in Naples. Do not waste your time or money. read more

The trolley is mostly unairconditioned. I've also seen this trolly roll into a cross walk. I asked the driver to back up as it was a busy crosswalk. He said no. He wouldn't be there long. He was over the crosswalk line all the time. I've seen that more times than I can't count. It's no surprise that it recently hit a person in the crosswalk. read more

However, the Trolly was 30 minutes late for our first pick up and 50 minutes late for our second pickup. There are not enough trolled on the route for this to be a true hop on hop off tour. We. Only took one stop and that was all we had time for. Don!t waste your time taking this tour. They are not using enough Trollies. You spend too much time waiting at the Trolly stops. I went on the Naples Trolley tour on Nov 6, 2015 I had a groupon which greatly reduced the price or I would have given it no stars The staff in the General store Lets start there. There was limited parking by the General Store building but plenty in the regular parking lot. I had an older person with me so I wanted to park as close as possible. Yes, I forgot the handicapped parking tag. There was a silver car parked in the corner of the parking lot which blocked off two spots. I was not brave enough to park there but someone else was, as you see The silver car is blocked in. We mentioned it to the staff in the General Store. The brunette with the full face of makeup on got so nasty, it was unbelievable. She insisted that the spot next to the dumpster was the correct spot and there was no spot next to the silver car. When I left I took pictures and you can see the lines of the spot next to the silver car but no lines by the silver car. I couldn't figure out why she reacted like that until she said the silver car was hers. She should never speak to a customer in that manner Considering she was wrong and I have a iPhone. Anyway, the trolley ride was long and did a fair amount of highway driving which was boring. The driver had the mike too close to his face so his speech was muddled. The ride was okay but I would have liked more history and to go slower so I could take pictures. Also the woohoo yelling I could have lived without. read more

Unless you know nothing about Naples this is a waste of time and money. The tour simply drove through Tin City and Mercato, through some neighborhoods and past some hotels along the gulf, and through downtown Naples. It was basic, boring, uninformative, and uninteresting. This is a 2 hour tour and the trolley seats are very cramped and hard (made of wood). We're 45 and 53 and in good shape and our backs became quite sore. Their trolleys are old and the engines are loud. It was difficult to hear the conductors narration over the sound of the engine, and what we could hear him say sounded more like bs and hearsay rather than interesting, factual, or historical information. Also, we had coupons for $2 off. When we presented them to the cashier at the beginning of our tour she was rude and condescending. read more

Took tour as part of a group conference. The trolley is open so if it is hot, and it was, be prepared. It also rained the last 10 minutes and we were all drenched but we were so hot it felt great. It was such a miserable experience most of us were laughing hysterically. There is nothing of value on this tour unless you want someone to point out expensive real estate to you for several hours. Not recommended. Information about the Naples area is minimal and some of what was provided was even incorrect. There is plenty of interesting information that could have been provided (e.g. home market prices by area). In addition, the condition of the trolley car was in poor shape. The front tires had almost no tread left on them. The seats were not comfortable and the inside was in need of repair. My wife and I have owned a condo in Pelican Bay for 5 years and always thought might be interesting to take the tour each time we saw the trolley going by. Glad we did, so we can let others know not to bother. read more
