Our knowledgeable guide Brad told us if you go in the late summer (wet season), 2' or so of water is flowing through it. So, what you see in the two seasons is different. They also have a nice gift shop, small museum and a restaurant. We saw all sorts of birds and animals. Even though they aren't necessarily exotic or rare, you are seeing them in their habitat. The ranch property really represents FL, more so than some other types of tours. And, it is for all ages and reasonably priced. Our visiting late teenage aged grandsons and friend enjoyed the tour every bit as much as we did. Highly recommend!

The owner is very friendly and he custom made things for us just because he could! He was chatty and very knowledgable about the Julius Meinl coffee that they brew. The look on my grandkids faces was priceless. So I will suffer with another virus for them. We did a 2 night stay by using a Groupon. Thank you Groupon. It made it affordable which is always a plus. The only reason I gave it a 4 is the overall affordability. It's a very pricey place. You pay for everything outside of what you pay for your room. Thank goodness it includes the waterpark passes. That was primarily why we were there. And we all enjoyed every minute. Outside of the water park we spent a lot of time in the Arcade. It was a lot of fun. A lot of tickets won and they walked away with some great prizes. Over all our stay was good. Room was nice and spacious. And comfortable. The activities on the lobby for the kids were great. Especially the story time. Watching our 2 year old grandson enjoy that was priceless.

We purchased the Wolf Pass so we could experience everything together, but my daughter ended up running into a friend from school and spent a lot of time playing with her. In hindsight, I probably could've just gotten the pass for her. The indoor water park stays nice and warm, so you don't have to worry about the weather at all. The wave pool, slides, and overall setup were perfect for kids. My daughter especially loved the slides and the ropes course which even included a small zip line. We also tried MagiQuest, which was a fun interactive game with wands and quests throughout the lodge. We didn't spend a ton of time on it, but it was still a cool experience. One thing I'll say for parents with only children considering a trip like this...do it. Your child will make friends. There are kids everywhere, and it's a very social, family-friendly environment. The only downside for me was the food. There are plenty of on-site options, but the quality was inconsistent. The breakfast buffet wasn't great the first day but was much better the second. Same with the food hall...chicken wings were amazing one day and not fresh the next. The restaurant food was also underwhelming (the mashed potatoes tasted instant, which was disappointing). Considering the prices, I expected more consistency and quality. That said, everything else was great. The lodge felt very safe, and I was especially impressed with the number of lifeguards actively watching the water park...they were attentive and clearly doing their job well! We had a trouble-filled stay…read more - Our marina-suite wasn't ready when we arrived at 3:45pm. - We were given a room in the main building & the manager forgot he moved us there - other guests entered our room hours later because he gave them our room # & door pad key code! - Our door didn't have a way to bolt lock or chain lock for added safety. - The room has old furniture, old sheets, 2 power outlets but only 1 usable, and the room smelled like cleaning chemicals; there was only a thin cover on the beds, no flat sheets or blankets; the lobby music played all night long which wasn't white noise, it was spooky. - We slept wrapped up in our own beach towels & checked out at the crack of dawn, exhausted. THUMBS DOWN

I saw it on the outside of the air vents and it's inside as well. Master keys were stolen at the hotel, so no room is safe as the owner doesn't want to rekey the locks. There was construction on repairing a 40-year-old sign by the highway. They dug a trench and put in electrical cable all without getting a permit, notifying the power company or code enforcement.. People at work in the kitchen, are maintenance handymen and have no certification or training for sanitary conditions or cross contamination. In the lobby there is a tower and there is a leak and it's in such bad condition that it could collapse at any time but they don't want to repair it to make things safe

Restaurants in this hotel are not their best characteristic. The outdoor restaurant by the pool seems to be the preferred one but it was not great. The food was just OK. In particular, Front desk, Kayly and, Ryan were both so attentive to our needs. You could really tell they enjoy their job and care about hospitality. Additionally, Melissa brought up our charcuterie to our room and was just the sweetest bubbliest person we met there. Cheryl in the fitness center was very welcoming, and showed us around and seemed to truly enjoy her job. Christian was also very kind at the restaurant bar. Tiago was helpful with the bar amenities for our anniversary. We truly would go back solely for the great service we received.
