I was in Bandon on vacation in October. I was driving a rental vehicle and had accidentally…read morescraped the flashing on the right side of the rental when I had hit a curb. The flashing is held on with plastic rivets and it partially came loose when I hit the curb. I was concerned about driving home with the flashing hanging down and more importantly, I was concerned about the repair cost that would be charged to me when I retudrned the rental. I stopped by Coastline Auto Body about 4:00 in the afternoon and asked them if there was anything they could do to secure the flashing for my trip home. They stopped what they were doing and inspected my vehicle. They located some replacement plastic rivets that they had on hand. Two employees got down on the parking lot surface and replaced several of the broken rivets and in a few minutes had the flashing back in place with no damage showing. I asked how much I owed them, concerned that I would be taken advantage of as a traveler. Instead, they asked for $5 even though they had spent 20-30 minutes working on my car. I offered more but they refused my offer. We eventually agreed on a fee of $20. I would certainly recommend this firm for any auto body repair.

Then they wouldn't answer their phone, on Wednesday, they finally said it would be ready Thursday about noon, we had doctor appointments and could not pick it up, until Friday, they said Friday morning would be fine, we live 20+ miles away. We drive in about 10 am Friday, they had sent it to another shop for a front end alignment, without asking us, and we wasted a round trip to pick it up. They would not even tell us where they sent it, so we could call and cancel the allignment, and be able to have our principle means of transportation back for the weekend! All together, we drove 120 unnecessary miles, because they could not be bothered to communicate with us.

The parts were there 2 weeks ago and now tbey are not. It all was very VERY shady. Then ......I get my car and am sent a bill for what they say is called a "short pay". With no options but to hitch hike, we called 911 to report that the vehicle was broke down on the side of the road. The 911 operator suggested we call Jerry from Norris Body Shop and gave us his number. Jerry responded as quickly as he could. While responding, he asked where we needed to be towed. We told him of our situation and that we needed to get to our destination as quickly as possible. He said he had a friend who owns a repair shop, Kerr's Truck & Auto, near where his body shop is and towed the vehicle there. He then took us to a local motel. The next morning, the repair shop called us and had the vehicle done by 10 am! Jerry picked us up and took us to our vehicle.
