EPIC KAYAK TRIP! If you want to see the epic Na'pali Coast intimately as possible, with super capable, knowledgeable, and kind guides, this is the way to do it. Bring all the snacks and water! You're in for a ride of your life! Our guide Iggy was incredible. Thanks Iggy!!!

Great experience! My friend and I (both 30 year old girls) did many of the activities in Kauai (boat tours, hikes, paddle boards, etc) and both agreed this was by far our favorite. You will not get this experience or the views any other way, nor will it be as rewarding. Highly recommend. We were lucky and saw dolphins, a monk seal and many birds. The paddle was strenuous but David and Mitch were very helpful, nice and knowledgeable. A must do.

One of the highlights of our trip to Kauai. Iggy and Jeffrey were awesome. They offered expectations before heading out, told us some cool stories about the coast, gave us tips along the way, brought a fantastic lunch, and were all around great guys. This is not a casual kayak trip. It's all day in the sun and you should expect to work. My wife and I are fair-skinned and opted to wear long sleeves and pants, which was a good decision (they have sweet long sleeve shirts for sale). Bring sun screen and more water than you think you need. The experience as a whole is completely worth it. 110% recommend. This was our first time on a sea kayak so don't be discouraged if you're in decent shape wanting adventure.

Brooks and Mitch were excellent guides! They ordered up rainbows, pods of spinner dolphins, cruising swells to make the paddling easy. They gave us great directions for launching and paddling in. We enjoyed great stories and always felt safe in experienced hands. We loved our kayak trip! Mahalo Na Pali kayak!!

We booked kayaks to camp kalalau as soon as we were able to get our camping permits locked in. The week before, we watched the surf report, which was consistent the whole week for our launch and landing dates. Part way through, josh was teetering on having us go out, but on Tuesday, he said it looked fine. Come Friday, we dropped by the shop to get everything finalized, and suddenly he was back to oh surf is too high, and suddenly he and Ivan were talking about "7 foot waves." The forecast was exactly the same as it had been before. 3.5 ft waves with single digit winds and 10s swells, which is actually on the low side for swells. It was pretty clear what the issue was when josh asked us if we had men coming with us. Suddenly, we were inexperienced girls who say "woo" just looking for an easy downwind paddle. His solution was for these same girls who came prepared to kayak to instead go on one of the most dangerous hikes in the world. I consider myself a novice hiker, and I certainly didn't bring my best hiking shoes to kayak. But I made it up and down 14 miles of hills with a 60L pack on one of the world's most dangerous hikes. I consider myself an advanced paddler, and with the benefits of paddle tracking technology, I have objective proof to back it up. We volunteered this along with the fact that we had other advanced paddlers to demonstrate and then guide any others who might need extra direction on certain parts. I went in well aware surf might be big and I couldn't predict exact conditions. We were all prepared to tackle unexpected waves, winds, etc as an expected part of the deal. It didn't matter because all josh and Ivan saw were little girls who they apparently also thought couldn't read a basic surf report. I've attached multiple surf reports for the day they thought was so "unsafe." Being that they're currently the only ones running kayak tours on na pali specifically, it's a pretty good bet it was them sending groups out on Saturday (when the surf was 1/2 a foot higher, and I told my group we'd be staying put all day) and Monday (when the surf was about the same, but the winds were 10mph higher and would potentially make conditions worse). It was never about safety. Attached are the "7 foot waves" and the day's surf reports, which were actually 3.5 (or about upper waist to chest high depending on your height).

What a wonderful adventure. The weather was perfect and we got to see all the awesome caves. It is a long day, and isn't for the faint of heart.... take anti nausea meds... it helped alot. The crew, I'm not sure if we have ever met better people. They were so helpful nice...and even funny. They made the 17 mile paddle interesting and fun. This was a bucket list item for my husband and me, lifelong kayakers...this was a level up for sure for us. Beautiful scenery and funny Dad Jokes along the way made this a great day. Highly recommend this team if you are choosing to adventure in kayak on the Napali Coast.

If you do one thing in Kauai this should be it! We've traveled all over and this is one of the best adventures we've experienced! The 17-mile Na'Pali coast kayak adventure allowed us to see rainbows, monk seals, sea turtles, explore sea caves, enjoy a remote and gorgeous beach all while seeing Hawaii from a different perspective. Casey, our guide, was incredible and shared so much knowledge while also supporting the entire group! A few things to note: -bring tons of water -being snacks easy to eat on water -being water proof camera or gopro -being and wear lots of SPF 50 sunscreen - wear comfortable swimsuits - this isn't a bikini contest. You'll be paddling for 5-7 hours I will say that my husband and I are in pretty good shape so while we were a bit sore the next day, it wasn't horrible . If you want to do this, regular exercise before the trip is recommended as it is physicals

We'd never done anything like this before, but from the moment we arrived, the team made us feel completely at ease. During our tour, the guides mentioned that the same company that designs ski lifts across the country engineered their zip lines -- that alone boosted our confidence in the safety and professionalism of the entire setup. You can tell they take their safety protocols seriously, without sacrificing any of the fun. The tour includes five incredible zip lines with breathtaking views -- you're literally flying across the same backdrops used in movies like Jurassic Park and Indiana Jones. It's unreal. One of the highlights was the 25-foot-deep swimming hole, complete with a mini zip line that lets you zip and splash right into the water. Our daughters loved it, and honestly, so did we! A massive shoutout to our guides -- Julia, Zeek, and Ryker. They were fun, knowledgeable, and created a super positive, relaxed environment that made the entire experience unforgettable. If you're visiting Kauai and want something adventurous, beautiful, safe, and genuinely memorable, I highly recommend Outfitters Kauai. We'll be talking about this day for years.

Hands down one of the coolest things I've ever done. Captain Dom was the perfect mix of chill, knowledgeable, and safety-conscious--dude knew exactly how to handle the boat, even when we got up close and personal with some pretty intense waves near the cliffs and caves. And Chaz? Absolute legend. Kept the vibes light with some solid (and delightfully cheesy) jokes, plus he snapped a ton of pics so we could actually enjoy the moment without worrying about our phones. But the real highlights? Getting insanely close to the cliffs and feeling the sheer power of the ocean, then just floating out in the middle of nowhere, taking it all in. Oh, and did I mention we saw THREE whale breaches and a bunch of dolphins? Unreal. If you're on the fence, take this as your sign to book it. Zero regrets, just pure adventure.

Since there were an odd number of us, she gave us her single kayak so I was able to use that on the way out and then switched with my brother on the way back. It was really nice to basically have that private tour! Unfortunately because of the rain and rising waters, we weren't able to do the hike & waterfall portion of the trip but the kayaking along the river was really nice and enjoyable. Mikayla did take us out of the kayaks and show us some of the surrounding area and shared with us information about the different plants. It was fun! Captain Kai was competent, informative, and very funny, as was crewmember Vayden, and Collin's mai tais are not to be missed. The food onboard was delicious and included traditional Hawaiian pulled pork and teriyaki chicken. Scrumptious cookies and bubbly rounded out the evening. Some things to be aware of: This cruise is on a catamaran; some of our party were expecting a small cruise ship that would have been a smoother ride. Waves are bumpy, and the windier parts of the trip resembled a mild roller coaster--if that's not your thing or you know you can experience some motion sickness, please factor that into your decision to book a trip. That being said, one person in our party experienced some light motion sickness and was really well cared for by the crew. We really appreciated their kindness and support. If you have sturdy sea legs and an adventurous spirit, I'd highly recommend this excursion. The views of Kauai from the ocean are worth it alone, but the information from the captain and crew about the island and its culture are also super valuable. The whole experience also felt very safe; the cruise will not go to areas with high wind/surf, and on our trip the captain explained why he was turning out of the wind/waves when he made that decision.

Drinks and snacks were always taken care of--Mai Tais, coconut cookies, and snacks kept coming--and it genuinely felt effortless to just relax and enjoy the experience. The team was knowledgeable, calm, and respectful of the whales, offering helpful context without over-talking. The boat was comfortable, well run, and the two-hour length felt just right.
