Pep Boys Review --…read more got a call 3 days ago...my rental was apparently begging for an oil change...mind you i'm in the army & my schedule is tighter than the jeans i wore in high school. so the next day i call back to set it up & guess what...no one answers. cool. love that. so i call the rental company & they're like "yeah girl take it to pep boys they'll help you" (lie number one) so i call pep boys & schedule for 11am. the next day i pull up 15 minutes early like the responsible adult i pretend to be. i hand over my keys & the guy hits me with "it'll be an hour & a half to two hours" ...for an oil change...i've never had an oil change take longer than a tiktok recipe but okay fine. i tell him i'm gonna run to the store for groceries & he's like yeah go ahead so i take my time. i stroll. i browse. i compare cereal brands like i'm solving a mystery. i take a whole hour & 45 mins thinking surely my truck is done by now i pull back up to pep boys & my truck is still sitting in the exact same parking spot...untouched...collecting dust...probably wondering if i abandoned it. i walk inside & the guy looks at me all casual like "okay i just got it approved so i wasn't able to start working on it yet" ...approved for WHAT...why did it take 2 hours...did the president need to sign off on this oil change i just stare at him then stare at my friend then stare back at him like i'm in the office waiting for the camera zoom. then he goes "it'll be about another hour" ...another hour...so now we're at a 3 hour oil change. 3. hours. and then while i'm standing there contemplating my life choices i hear another customer complaining about how slow they are. so at that point i knew it wasn't personal...it was just pep boys being pep boys 1 star. if i could give it 0 i would.

Immediately we noticed "Sum Ting Wong and Wi Tu Lo" when connecting the trailer to my truck's tow hitch. It was obvious we needed a drawbar with an alternate drop. I asked Carolos Martinez if he could assist and his performance was legendary. He first walked outside with us and sized up the trailer. THEN HE FITTED the suggested drawbar to insure the appropriate fit ALL WITH A SMILE! What really blew us away, was Carlos didn't simply stop at making a product recommendation. He took the lead to help me disconnect the safety chains, and removed the old drawbar himself. Then after installing the new drawbar he took his time, stepping back to view if the trailer sat at the proper attitude. THIS GENTLEMAN WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND! Wow, how do you find customer service like that these days? THANK YOU CARLOS and thank you AutoZone Yuma on S Fourth Avenue for employing such amazing people.

I didn't even know about it until I missed a call from them, and when I tried to sort it out, nobody there had a clue what was going on. Clueless! This isn't just a one-time thing - it's a long history of issues with this place, so bad that I drive miles out of my way to avoid them. I'd rather go to O'Reilly's, even if it's farther, than deal with this AutoZone again. They need to get their act together, big league, or they're gonna keep losing customers like me!
