The staff are polite and helpful and the store is usually quite quiet although you can expect the occasional que at the post office. Prices of diesel and petrol here are a little above what you would pay in town so it is worth noting this if you are filling up.

Oh wow, what a great post office!! I was here today and I could have spent much longer wandering…read morearound. Not only is it a very good post office with very pleasant people serving, but it's an excellent gift shop as well. First of all, there's a huge range of greetings cards for sale, and good quality ones too. Then there are all kinds of interesting and unusual gifts. I particularly liked the staplers in the shape of animals, and the sellotape dispensers in bright colours with little boats bobbing about inside! There were also toothbrushes with little moving sharks inside the handles, and mock drinking tumblers with ducks 'swimming' about inside. I only wish I'd bought more gifts than I did but time was short. I will definitely be back to buy more before long - if they haven't all gone by then!

There is a little room to park outside and it can be located on the left hand side on the way away from Llanelli. The post office is small but has a good range of stationary and cards. The lady that works here is lovely and would help you in any way she could. In addition to this she is knowledgeable which always helps when you have a query. She is very efficient meaning that even when there is a que you wont have to wait too long.

It is a tiny post office in the front room of a converted house, and sometimes as its only the one counter you do have to que. That said you do get friendly efficient service from the very knowledgeable post mistress. They do sell some stationary which is handy and have a lovely selection of birthday and greeting cards. As they are a small post office they do not sell car tax and they do have a letter box on the outside of the building.

Lovely for walks and close to the village and the railway station. There is a car park very near to the beach. In the village there are toilets, pubs, cafes and few shops. Originally built in the 19th century, this was first known as Pembrey New Harbour. The marina…read moreopened in 2004 and the whole area is still being improved as part of the Millennium Coastal Park project. The harbour has commercial (fishing) and pleasure craft. There are pleasant walks around the whole harbour area with great views of the beaches, lighthouse, and across the Loughor Estuary to the Gower Peninsula. (The Millennium Coastal Path also follows the coast in both directions from here.) You can find some memorials around the harbour which commemorate the flight of Amelia Earhart, the first woman to cross the Atlantic by air. In 1928 her seaplane 'Friendship', flown all the way from Newfoundland, landed here and Amelia and her two pilots were welcomed by the people of the town. There is a huge long stay, and a short stay, car park (pay and display) - just follow the signs. It's about the same distance to walk to the town from either. There are public toilets in the long stay car park but they leave something to be desired, having been subjected to a degree of vandalism recently (there are much better toilets at the station).
