Here is one example of a visit where I was less than impressed due to a few problems On entering the ASDA car park from the entrance I saw about 6 trolleys laying on their side where people just leave them there. Usually they are cleared away regularly throughout the day. On getting to the store front there were very few trolleys left in the park, and no smaller trolleys. I walk into the store and there are no baskets. Usually there is somebody greeting you to give you a basket but there is nobody. Therefore, I have to go to the checkouts and try and get one, about 15 other people are trying to do this and it's chaos. Which now brings me on to the checkouts They were packed. There weren't too many open and each checkout had about 8 people waiting. Thus meaning it took about 5 minutes for somebody to come over and fix the weight problem because the bags were not set up properly. I love the Asda range of goods but this store is so lacking in the range and also the clientelle leaves a lot to be desired ..............

Just recently used the cafe as a means of convenience as time was short to go elsewhere…read more We found that on ordering we had to go through what we wanted 3 times to make sure the Lady understood..it was only a small order each for myself and my Wife..Which raised eyebrows initially, when the order was brought over only my Wife's order came I then had to wait for mine. Which was cold when it arrived. On reflection I noticed the another Lady operative was going round cleaning tables with one cloth ..no liquid and was wiping all and sundry. Hygiene doesn't seem to matter. Although we shop here every week this is definitely one part of the store we shall keep clear of. Not an experience we shall do again.

They also have a better than average range of newspapers and magazines. Also sell all the usual petrol station goods such as engine oil, maps etc. Shop does not feel claustrophobic like some petrol stations. Petrol and diesel is usually three or four pence per litre dearer than other local garages. Opening hours are shorter than many other stores as they close at 10 most evenings.

Dafen service station is a large petrol station located just next to Owens in Dafen (In fact Owens…read moreown the petrol station) The service station has a massive forecourt with plenty of pumps so you never have to wait. It also has a large shop selling the normal everyday essentials. It also sells sweets and cigarettes. Staff are friendly and helpful and I believe the station is open twenty four hours a day. Petrol prices here are quite competitive with the like of Tesco and Morrisons however the dont always measure up, however you may be out of here quicker when filling up as its not as busy.

Very poor cafe, small with cheap little tables, scarcely any choice for vegetarians and nothing for…read morevegans (apart from the inevitable potato with boring beans). The veggie choice today was between a potato, or a lasagne. Nothing imaginative and nothing gluten-free (other than the potato - but without beans because baked beans contain gluten). It annoyed me that some of the other veggie options on the 'main menu board' - the one on the wall that never varies - weren't available (the macaroni cheese, for example). I'll give it 2 stars because at least you can have a coffee and rest your feet, and the young man serving was pleasant and friendly. Tesco really should take a few leaves out of Morrisons book when it comes to a good cafe with lots of choice.

They do still have the manned booths here, but either way its quick and the most important part for me is that this is by far the cheapest petrol station I can find. Its usually at least 2p cheaper than any other petrol station I come across. For that reason alone its brilliant. Its also open 24 hours (self service only).

In fact they have learnt how to capitalise on this by incorporating a kebab shop in the back providing them with lunch. It also has a small shop selling the normal everyday essentials. It also sells sweets and cigarettes. Staff are friendly and helpful and I believe the station is open all day long. Petrol prices here are quite expensive so if you are filling up bear this in mind as you will be able to fill up a little cheaper in Tesco or Morrisons.

I found some Welsh crafts and biscuits in here, which was handy as the main gift shop was closed, it being winter right now.
