My husband went on tour for a year to S. Korea and my toddler was having a particularly difficult time. Once he started at SMS, we noticed such positive response from him. The teachers clearly care about each individual child--not only in school but in their home life. When I had asked if there were any books the school recommended for children with a family member going through deployment, they researched and sent me many different options to help with my child's emotional well being. The Montessori method of teaching coupled with the staff at Sandwich Montessori has given my child the knowledge and confidence to face our ever changing lifestyle. SMS was the best investment our family has made and I only wish we could have had the opportunity to send our kiddos there for their whole educational experience!

My daughter replied, "I love the Children's workshop- it's definitely worth the money, because we have so much fun". My seven year old has said that she never wants to leave and that she wants to work there when she grows up. I'm very pleased with the teachers and other staff and the care and attention the girls have been given. Communication has been consistently great. The children are always excited and engaged to the extent that I have to drag mine away when I return to pick them up. Cleanliness and safety are high on my list of priorities as well and the center maintains a healthy standard of cleanliness and provides a safe environment. Playground and outdoor safety is another area of concern for me, so I appreciate the fact that the staff is even very attentive while the children are playing outdoors and on field trips. My girls feel safe, nurtured, accepted, they "learn cool stuff" and they have loads of fun. What more can a parent ask for? In short, we love The Children's Workshop and I really appreciate their contribution to my children's childhood development and my peace of mind. It is very difficult to entrust your children's care to people other than immediate family. We started our daughter at Cadence during the pandemic. Cadence was so welcoming and facilitated me being able to meet my daughter's teachers via Zoom before we started. Although we were not able to enter the building to send our daughter off, they made it feel as though we could with their awesome report app that they use to send you updates and pictures of your child throughout the day. Through the last few years we have grown to know and love the teachers at Cadence. When we had our second child, we started him in daycare even sooner than we did our first because we had that trust in Cadence. We are so happy with our Cadence family, and would strongly recommend them to anyone searching for care and education for their children.

I just read a review about her being "militant" and I have to disagree. She has structure which is what the kids crave. She is also a great teacher. My granddaughter just started kindergarten this year and it was a very smooth transition for her. Mrs. Finley also provides lunches and snacks which saved us a lot of time in the mornings!! You waited until mid September to let me know you can't accommodate my request?? And when I asked for another recommendation, I never heard back. Very poor customer service. Doesn't matter if you are short-staffed or full-staffed. You should reply to your customers so they aren't left scrambling. My son was enrolled in December of 2024, our first issues started in January, when we noticed diaper rashes so bad that he would cry when he went to the bathroom. I brought this to the owners attention, and we discussed a best path forward. Shortly after, issues kept arising around their lack of respect for my infants sleep and food schedule that they did not care to follow. In addition to sending home soiled clothes that did not belong to my son, they sent home chunky milk bottles and moldy sippy cups - when I once again brought these concerns to the owner she was dismissive, as not to ruin her weekend. Fair warning, the owner is not a mother, she was a principal that thinks that is the same thing. If your child is lucky enough to be in the group of her favorites, I'm sure you'll receive excellent care, otherwise the care will be mediocre at best. The turnover for teachers and children is too fast to be reliable, and she'll always rely on the excuse that new teachers are still adjusting which lead to compromising the care for my child.
