For my daughter, we were concerned initially that due to her age but inexperience, she would have to learn with kids who were much younger than her (like three years younger than her or even more)... after her hip-hop trial, she was discouraged because she was a lot older than the other kids and yet much more inexperienced. But we expressed that to the studio and they responded so gracefully and found the perfect class for her where there are kids her age, but they are also new-ER to dance as well and my daughter is totally happy and we are loving the classes and teachers thus far. The studio has been so accommodating and very communicative and helpful! The teachers are awesome too, and you can feel the spirit of dance and creativity there. I'm hopeful about our journey there and my daughter's own journey with dance. I think if there's any place that could get her hooked to dance, it's this place.

I came in after sitting on my couch for 3 years during the pandemic, so out of shape I could barely walk without huffing and puffing. I was 68 years old. I took a trial class and then signed up for 1 month immediately after. The difference is that my depression & mood has greatly improved. I feel inspired by the classes and the other members in class. My stamina has grown and my body is so much stronger and healthier. My posture is better.. instead of being hunched over, I can now stand up straight and walk with confidence. My balance is way better too. The mind/body approach here works for me and learning about one's energy is wonderful. I love the classes and have grown to have more patience & understanding with my body. We have so much fun in class and I love that we have members of all ages. It also needs a touch up and looks extremely sad and pathetic. We will be leaving this awful place soon. I'm sorry to anyone who send their kids her and thinks it's a legitimate or real dance studio. Again they ignore any issues, don't listen to parents at all, don't consider scheduleding when making decisions. This place is awful, needs new ownership; new management , and it needs to be fixed. We've been really happy with Barbarian Barbell so far. The facility is great and actually looks and…read morefeels like a real Olympic weightlifting gym with all the right equipment. We had a consultation with Coach Emmy for our son and did a few one-on-one sessions so he could learn the basics first. That helped a lot. He now understands what he's doing and feels comfortable joining the youth class and working on his technique. We also met Coach Johnny, who leads the youth group, and he was very approachable and encouraging. Everyone we've interacted with has been friendly and supportive. They use an app to share workouts and track progress, and I like that they offer remote training and 24/7 gym access as well. The gym is clean and well maintained, with two restrooms and plenty of parking in the back, which is a big plus as a parent. Overall, it's a really positive environment and we're excited to have our son start this new journey here.

The facility itself is exceptional -- there are many platforms, plates, bars, and free weights to work from so you don't have to worry about it being busy compared to a commercial gym. Sharing with others is not a problem even on busy days since everyone is very friendly. There is also a 24-hour access option which is perfect for individuals who have busy work-life schedules and need more flexibility for access. The people at Barbarian Barbell are some of the nicest, friendliest, and most supportive team you'll ever meet.
