I've been to a few other locations on prior visit to Scotland. This one was inside a mall in Leith. I don't know if the mall is new or just really old.
But some of the stores are ones you wouldn't normally see in a traditional mall. More mom and pops store, random clothing and so on.
But then you have Nando's. First impressions, it was small but later found out that there's more seating along the windows that looks out to the waterfront. As we had a big group, they sat us down at the long communal table. You could order off the QR code or the counter. Menu, pretty much sums it all, chicken. They also have salad, sandwiches and wraps. A few starters and such. I believe they're known for the chicken meals which could be as an individual or for sharing.
As there was a few of us, it was a mixture of everything. They had a 3 item starters which was cheaper to order together versus individual. The halloumi with a sweet chili sauce, hummus and pita and croquettes. They were quite tasty. Entrees, I went with a chicken breast butterflied à la carte instead of a meal with two sides. We had plenty of starters and also an order of the loaded fries with cheese and shredded chicken. Other entrees were the chicken sandwich, wraps and a chicken combos. They do offer some alcoholic drinks.
There's also a table with loads of sauces that's offered for use. It's a staples for the UK as I've heard.
The food has always been good. I wouldn't class it as a fancy restaurants but more of quick dine in. read more
