You may want to think twice about ordering flowers from Nancy Sells Flowers. Nancy does give a lot of attitude and takes no blame, but that wouldn't be a good name for a business. My order missed the requested delivery time, and Teleflora gave me the phone number of the local florist handling the order. When I called, I wasn't given an opportunity to speak because she (I assume it was Nancy) kept yelling excuses at me, mentioning the upcoming Mother's Day rush, said she got no delivery instructions, and finally did drive on over quickly to hand me flowers and drive away.
My "deluxe" arrangement arrived late due to the fact that she had to get fresh flowers and it took time to make the order. Don't all florists send fresh flowers? Worse than the inadequate excuses, the "deluxe arrangement ($49.95) was actually smaller than the "standard" arrangement ($39.95) on Teleflora's website. When I called four times that week, each time Teleflora promised me a new deluxe arrangement would be redelivered to satisfy my displeasure. No flowers. No redelivery.
I finally took the arrangement to Nancy Sells Flowers along with pictures from the website to show the discrepancy between what she sent and what was offered on the website and WHAT I HAD PAID FOR. It went downhill quickly from there. She insincerely apologized for "ruining my daughter's birthday" but refused to listen to my concern that I had paid for deluxe flowers and receive a less-than-standard arrangement. She took no responsibility for the fact that she sent a hastily-put-together bunch of flowers not worth the $49.95 price (before delivery charges) that looked nothing like the example published on the website. She wouldn't stop talking long enough for us to explain what had gone wrong and why we were still dealing with this four days after the original delivery. She wouldn't stop talking. She couldn't.
She said she kept seeing Teleflora's instructions to delivery a new arrangement and to confirm redelivery, but ignored them because "she had already delivered the flowers" and was too busy preparing for the Mother's Day deliveries. Mind you, this order was placed 10 days before Mother's Day, and the flowers were delivered 6 days before Mother's Day. She threw the arrangement in the trash and said she would send us a refund...never sitting down to actually process the refund in front of me (so let's see how long THAT takes). She handed my daughter a bunch of roses and seemed to think that the gesture would make up for our dissatisfaction for the arrangement she so proudly passed off as "deluxe." She seemed shocked when my daughter handed them back saying she wanted nothing to do with her establishment since the roses seemed to be her idea of a replacement arrangement which would alleviate her from having to process a refund.
She was so aggravated that I had the nerve to expect her to honor her professional obligation to her customers by preparing floral arrangements per Teleflora's instructions worth the money spent on them. And to ignore instructions to redeliver flowers to a dissatisfied customer means her business has no integrity or desire to gain and retain customers. Filling orders day-to-day until the orders stop coming.
My daughter said that our interaction with the two ladies in the shop would be posted to as many social media sites as we have access to. Reviews can be easily Googled, and people deserve to read our honest review of our experience. We were both so shocked to be run out of the store with Nancy and her associate yelling at us, "it's my daughter's birthday today too and I'm stuck at work" and "she's a single mom and it's so hard for her" and "all these orders for Mother's Day and we're SO busy" and "I don't have time to read your notes or look at your pictures."
Finally and most importantly, as a small business, Nancy Sells Flowers should understand the immeasurable value in pleasing customers and delivering a product to be proud of. I would guess that most of the business Nancy Sells Flowers receives is from Teleflora. Her shop is messy, which indicates to me that the foot traffic into her shop is minimal. And anyone getting one of her less than perfect arrangements will simply not come back to her.
If you are unhappy with products and service, and the staff treats you disrespectfully, you will simply not return. Please think twice about patronizing this establishment. I have never met such a snotty, unprofessional, disrespectful, uncaring, aggressive, and hostile pair of individuals. Beware your Mother's Day floral deliveries! read more
