The portion is decent and two are enough unless you are really hungry. We wanted the Kimchi fries but they weren't available on this Taco Tuesday unfortunately. We ordered the regular fries & they were ok. I would check to see what's being served at dinner before making the trip The ladies serving & at the bar were friendly & service minded. Food is food, and what's good is good. Service is always friendly and you can get a salad and free coffee / tea on the side, that is if you don't want margarita or the refreshing lagerita (recommended!), or maybe you're just being greedy :P Do check their opening hours and days though because it seems that they were closed for lunch service in weekend or something like that.

I cannot believe I actually payed for the food without. We should have just left instantly! The most disgusting experience in a restaurant I have ever experienced. We could have gotten seriously sick or infected. I've worked in restaurants many years as a chef in Copenhagen and have never seen a single rat. The staff handled this so badly that I will never recommend this place to anyone ever. In Denmark we have a moral obligation to report any sighting of rats anywhere and this will also be done in this case, to Miljöförvaltningen Malmö.

This was strips of chicken breast (ie. the driest part of the bird) with quite a bit of batter, some salad thrown on top as an afterthought, and some sauce on the side which was not spicy at all. On its own, the chicken 'fries' were just ok, though I needed a lot more sauce since they were so dry. The other offerings looked authentic, and obviously I had to try the kimchi. The kimchi was excellent and its addition vastly improved the chicken! The the dish I tried only garnered 3 stars, the kimchi earns one extra. I would like to come back and try some of the other items.

What a fool I am! In my Studieskolen days, I passed by this place many times but figured it was…read morelike most Japanese-Korean mix establishments: BAD! However I was pleasantly surprised and now I know where to get my Korean fix in Copenhagen when I'm feeling homesick. Since it was a very cold day, I wanted something hot and comforting. The Samgyetang menu (310 dkk) appealed to me especially since it comes with small sides (banchan). Normally this soup is eaten in the summer, but I think it also goes over well on these winter evenings. Our server brought out a whole cornish hen sizzling in the stone pot on a wooden trivet with salt and pepper on the side. Spot-on presentation! However there was no ginger or glutinous rice inside the chicken, much less jujube or ginseng. Although chicken is the star of this dish, the rice and herbs play a huge role. This was very disappointing, even though the meat was cooked perfectly and falling off the bone. Before we were served the main (Korean) dishes, we received a little Japanese appetizers. One was a spinach salad (ohitashi) and a shrimp salad with bean thread (ebi sunomono). These were very nice and refreshing but of course I would have preferred a Korean starter. Soon after came gyoza/mandu, which was good. Right before the mains came out we got the banchan, and so prettily arranged! There was seafood pancake (haemul pajeon), carrot kinpira, kimchi, potato pancake (gamjajeon), and seaweed salad. The kinpira was a bit out of place, I think beansprouts would have fit in better. Though they were a little oily, the pancakes were good. Now the kimchi was excellent! I can say this with confidence since I am Korean, I've been brought up eating kimchi, and I do make my own. You can even buy it by the kilo here. Good to know. At the end of the meal we got a scoop of sickly-sweet strawberry ice cream and a pretty but not very tasty strawberry for dessert. I would have preferred green tea ice cream or even some seasonal fruit, the latter being more common in Korean cuisine. Since it is winter I would have been ok with no dessert and just a cup of ginseng tea instead. Although the missing ingredients in the samgyetang made me feel cheated, the banchan was mostly good and so was the service. I look forward to trying more authentic Korean dishes here.

Kopan seems to have given the greatest push this year with their food cart serving sweet and savoury pancakes. Their old name, seed hoddeok, refers to deep-fried dough which is flattened and opened to make a pocket, then stuffed with seeds and honey/brown sugar. I tried a sample of it and the dough is tender and slightly chewy inside with a nice crispy crust. I ordered rice cakes mixed with fish cakes (tteokbokki) for 45kr and the rice cakes were especially good with a slight crisp on the outside. They were only a little spicy to me, but tasted great. It is a small but very filling dish as the rice cakes are very compact. I also got a marinated grilled beef (bulgogi) pancake for 50kr. It was very morseish with onions and potato starch noodles (japchae) and the freshly fried dough was even better than the sample of the seed pancake. This is a great place to stop by when you need a substantial snack or just want to try some authentic Korean street food.
