There was no English menu, the waiters barely spoke English but the good was alright, wouldn't come back it was too frustrating.

Expensive and bad quality. Don't accept Visa cards. The rice is not cocked well, the avocado is not fresh. Small pieces of fish.

While edible, it was disappointing. You get a lot at happy hour but with little care. The service was bored.

The food is priced relatively normal for Berlin nothing crazy there. I ordered the fried chicken udon, a house made soda and takoyaki. The fried chicken on the udon was fabulous but the broth was missing some flavor it was relatively bland for my taste. I really enjoyed the house made soda. I'd never tried takoyaki before and though many of my friends enjoyed it, it was not something I'd order again. Not the restaurants fault, just my own personal taste. I'd go back to try their sushi!

The food is delicious (though bit pricey for berlin standards) however the only downside is the super slow service. I guess there's an upside since you know they're making your food fresh, but sometimes it gets so packed that servers are overwhelmed. Overall it's one of the better Japanese restaurants l've found in Berlin that's a median price point with fresh and delicious food. I would highly recommend sharing appetizers and rolls so you can try out different dishes and small plates. (The fried squid, edamame, and yakitori are my faves)

I used to live in Japan and am resigned to eating random quality sushi in Europe, but this is best I've tried in a long time! True, the chefs are not Japanese, but they make a big effort in food preparation and presentation. The rice is good quality and delicately flavored, the nori is crispy. The menu has a nice assortment of white fish like hamachi and tai and is a mix of traditional pieces and fried/cheese rolls that are popular in Europe. They even flambé the eel and other fish in true Japanese yaki style. The setting is lovely, it's a converted alcove beneath the S-bahn, directly off the SW corner of Savignyplatz. They do things Japanese style here: take a seat at the bar and order directly from the chef! They will carefully prepare each plate fresh, rather than leave it on the little boats. Our miso soup was a little sweet, but tasty, with tofu and wakame. Plates are served with two nigiri pieces, like in Japan. The portions are very generous, the fish is carefully cut. At 3e/plate on the lunch deal (and Sunday eves), this is incredible value. I'll be coming straight back next time I'm in Berlin!
