Our server made sure to explain the process to us which you order 5 pieces and they come up on the counter and once you eat it, you place your wooden holder back up for them to send out your next piece. The crab dip was pretty good with the big rice puff chips. Each piece already comes with wasabi so you can request it be removed but I would suggest just keeping it on there. For my sister's last day in town, we decided to dine in at Nami Nori. I've heard so many great things about this place so I couldn't wait to try it out with her. Once we parked in the parking garage, we were able to walk right in to Atlantic Park, which was absolutely beautiful! Nami Nori is in the perfect location, right next to the Wave Garden. When we walked in, we were asked if we had reservations and since we didn't, we were only able to sit at the bar, which was fine. The restaurant had a very modern, eclectic vibe and was set up beautifully. I love the views and they even have outdoor seating. Christian, our bartender, was absolutely wonderful. He explained the concept of the Temaki and gave us time to look over the menu. He made us Pineapple Margaritas that were amazing!!! We knew we wanted the Caviar Service so that was brought out first. The caviar was delicate, savory and went great with the rice chips and onion cream. I finally decided on the Tuna Poke, X.O Scallop, Salmon Serrano, Spicy Lobster, Yellowtail & Scallion and Toro & Scallion. First visit. We made reservations on OpenTable and were so excited! With all of the hype and overall reviews, I was certain this would be a great experience. Nami Nori, according to the hostess, is reservations only and there's a strict time limit. We were about 7 minutes late and were told they could still seat us, but asked if we'd be able to finish our meal by 6:30 PM for the next reservation. Being our first time, I wasn't entirely sure how to gauge timing, especially since food prep is out of our control. We agreed and were excited to give it a try. Initially, we were seated at the temaki bar. I'm short, so all I could see was a wall, not waves. We asked to move so we could view the wave pool and were reseated beside other couples. Not a lot of privacy, but all good. We ordered several appetizers: wasabi cucumbers, crab dip, potato salad, and miso soup. The crab dip was delicious. We love pimento cheese, and this was a nice twist. I believe it used snow crab rather than local blue crab, which surprised me a bit. The potato salad and cucumbers were good, though fairly standard. The miso soup was a little different from what's typically served in the area, but still tasty. The space itself is beautiful, and the wave pool view was a highlight, at least until another guest closed the curtains. The overall atmosphere felt a bit more on the formal/curated side, which may appeal to some, though for me it came across slightly more polished than a relaxed beach vibe I was expecting. We did experience a longer wait for our entrees (about 20-25 minutes), which made us a little nervous given the earlier time limit. During that time, we noticed some service hiccups--another table was upset because their boxed leftovers were accidentally thrown away, and our dirty dishes were left sitting and began to pile up. A quick note: the restroom water runs extremely hot--almost scalding--so please be cautious, especially with little ones. Also, the soap dispenser is mounted on a side wall near head level rather than next to the faucet, which caught me off guard & felt a little awkward. Ahh, finally, our food arrived. We had almost considered canceling due to the wait. We asked if it was okay to take our time since we had been told earlier about the 6:30 cutoff, and the hostess let us know we were fine, which we appreciated--it just felt a bit inconsistent from the initial interaction. I liked the lemon peel that was on the chicken as it added a great zest flavor alongside the meal. This was my first time having this type of cut of tuna and it indeed was "buttery" in texture and taste. The meal was very balanced where you didn't feel bloated at the end! In addition to the dome and the Atlantic surf Park is this gorgeous elevated sushi spot with a fire staff and delicious eats We started off with four of the appetizers: tuna poke, Shishido peppers, the fried chicken, and my personal favorite, the potato salad! We ordered the signature set and the classic set and I customized my set of rolls. I love that everything was assembled in front of us. You could see how fresh all the ingredients were and the simplicity of flavors were put together beautifully! For a dessert, we tried both of the sweet offerings. One of them was a churro made out of mochi with this delicious lemon Yuzu sauce. It was airy, not too chewy, just the right amount of crunch and sweetness, and the sauce paired perfectly with it. The cookies were good too, but I kind of wanted a glass of milk with it lol. I probably should've saved my matcha latte to pair with it lol. I left feeling like I ate just the right amount of food. The dining area makes you feel like you're not in VB anymore - like a super posh restaurant spot in NY or something. It's a very elegant and modern space. The food here was exceptional. We got the salmon sashimi and spicy tuna dip to start. Both were light and a great way to start our meal. We got 6 temakis each! They're essentially open hand rolls. The stand outs were the salmon avocado and toro temakis - just imagine super fresh and flavorful fish on top of sushi rice. I could eat 12 of these on my own. We were really excited for some new spots to open in VB and we finally got to come and try out Nami Nori. I love the vibe and decor of the restaurant. We had a reservation, which I highly recommend as there aren't a ton of seats and it was very busy when we went. We sat at a table with a view of the surf park which was super cool. We ordered quite a few appetizers (I didn't get a picture of all of them), but everything was good. For our main food, we had the temaki. I hadn't ever had temaki before so it was a new experience. Most of them were really good, but a few were not as flavorful. All the ones from the left column of the menu like the coconut shrimp, XO scallop, fried oyster, etc that we tried were the best ones in our opinion. They were unfortunately out of the lobster one when we went which was disappointing since we all wanted to try that one. Overall, we had a good experience and the food tasted good and fresh. However, the pricing did not align for me so for that reason we would probably not visit again. For 4 of us our bill was a little over $600, which was not worth it to me. The services were nice and she was very attentive to make sure we enjoy every moment and guided us on how the layout of service the sushi part versus the appetizers. I tried six temaki rather than one of their pre selected sets, and everything was incredible. The waiters were really nice and helpful. The fish was fresh and the Nori was crunchy. I ended up building my own set however, there are three starter sets that are available. The all temaki sets are amazing! They are served right in front of you. Each had wasabi and soy sauce added in them but if you needed any modifications you are able to tell the sushi chef. The mochurro had a texture that I didn't like. We were seated with a nice view of the Atlantic Surf Park. Recommend making a reservation because the restaurant isn't large. read more

This is an all GF menu and it was fabulous! I don't usually try sushi places because of a gluten allergy. This was so good, it serves/bartender was friendly and very helpful. Hubby and I tried all the new spots out in Atlantic Surf Park for our recent date night. Nami is a cute small upscale Sushi restaurant. The ambiance was great and sushi was fresh and interactive. You actually complete your rolls at your table. We were seated at the bar and service was 10/10. Bartender was attentive and friendly. Amazing food and dining experience! We sat at the bar and had amazing sushi prepared by chef Ray - our server was also wonderful and took great care of us for my birthday We had the signature set, shishito peppers, fries, spicy tuna dip, and we ended up ordering the chicken karaage but didn't finish it. Everything was great - the absolute surprise and delight of the night was the sesame miso chocolate chip cookies!!! On the house for my birthday (thank you!) but WOW - do not sleep on these they are SO GOOD.
