It has a nice, classy, modern ambience, and the staff are courteous and efficient. The best part is the food. They use natural, fresh ingredients, and the spices are carefully crafted to deliver a wonderful palate and aroma. I'm not sure, but I think the restaurant is relatively new. I happened upon it in March on an evening walk. I was surprised to see that it is not even listed in Yelp. I travel to Madrid one to two times per year on business, and will definitely be back.

Always amazing to have Indian food in a different place. I had been really wanting Indian food…read moresince the move from SA, and being away gave me the opportunity to get some. Madrid is a cosmopolitan city, and it comes as no surprise that there are plenty of types of restaurants. My Yelp! community led me to this place. We got here, were seated and served papadums with three chutneys...tamarind, mint, and sweet chili. I ordered a chai masala tea. It was one of the more smaller cups for tea that I have had before, but it was plenty. We ordered a chicken curry, a vegetable curry, a basmati rice bowl, and a serving of garlic naan. We tried the tandoori mix appetizer which was a blend of chicken and lamb pieces grilled or baked in a tandoori oven over sauteed onions. It was a good protein starter The chicken Tikka masala came in huge chicken chunks. The sauce was a good balance of flavor and spice. The medium wasn't too bad of a spice level and allowed us to enjoy the other spices. The palak paneer was good too. The spinach was fresh, the cheese was a good blend of taste and texture. The curry in the spinach blend was also delicious Finally, and it was a nice touch the staff there gifted us some angi Lassi shots. It was very good food and an amazing atmosphere. Glad this one was Yelp supported. I Yelp approve.

The owners have recently renovated the restaurant giving it a classy, elegant vibe with a tall ceiling and gilded interior. The food was wonderful! There were four of us and we virtually shared everything we ordered. We had the basmati rice, garlic naan, plain naan, buttered naan, buttered chicken, chicken bhuna, and so much more. We even had this one dish that is an Indian take on what I can only describe as a blooming onion (sorry for the raw description). With the different sauces they provide, this onion thing left you wanting more. The chicken bhuna had a spicy kick (for Spain), and if you need, you can make it spicier. They even offered a menu of the day, which is around 30€ but it comes with three courses and each course is a sample of different dishes (not a bad idea if you want to try a little of everything). The place is clean and the staff is helpful. They speak English and Spanish so there's no worry there. The wait for a table and our food was relatively nonexistent. All in all, this is a delicious place with a great menu and fantastic service. Go check it out. Enjoy!

Given that I was in town for a conference, I decided, To revisit them. First look, I was able to notice that the decor had received an update, the wall of turbans, the chairs etc all looked new and upgraded. We met our friendly host Koshy from Kerala, who had amazing Spanish, Hindi and Malayalam skills, which was nice and made us feel at home. On looking at the menu, found that The food items had also received a super update. We tried out the papdi chaat, was was wholesome and tasty. In the main course we picked the Paneer Tikka Masala [ even though it wasn't on the menu they made it for us ] and Veg Kofta. Both were made spicy on our request. The Peshawari Naan was refreshing and super tasty that went well with the spicy dishes, and we had sliced chili laden on the garlic naan as well. Overall all the dishes were super tasty, and very Well presented. Again with a cozy smile from Koshy !! The sparkler turned out to be the dessert which was Kulfi in a gaseous smoke and really mind blowing presentation. On eating it was super creamy and satisfying, just the way its Meant to be, nutty, creamy and heavenly. Overall, coming back to Swagath was a "Welcome [which is the literal meaning of the word Swagath]" and "Cozy host Koshy" made all the difference !
