Very nice! We went there today for lunch. The decor inside was classy and it really didn't feel like the Indian restaurants I'm used to going. It felt more like a modern western style bar/restaurant. Not many "ethnic" decorations. We both had lamb, I had it with tikka masala and my boyfriend with lentil curry (don't remember what it was called) we also had aromatic rice and naan. The tikka masala was very creamy and had great flavor, and the lentil curry was also very nice. Naan was kind of flat and not especially great. The lunch ended up around €22 each. I don't think I can repeat so often, but I'll come back when I fancy a very good curry. read more

Don't come hear expecting funky Indian tapestries hanging on the wall or awkward white tablecloths you might find at other Indian haunts. Instead, the owners opt for an "urban" feel based around the metro and slick city decor. However, one thing everpresent is the mouth-watering smell of curry and savory dishes that hit the spot when you have an itch for Indian. When it comes to the meal, I always have my go-to dishes - standbys I use to compare one Indian resto to the next. I always began with samosas, followed by chicken tikka masala with some garlic naan on the side. Here, rice doesn't come included so we ordered the more adorned yellow kind as opposed to plain Basmati. It was all delicious and came out super fast. The serving size isn't overwhelming so I would suggest ordering a couple platters if you are looking to get filled up. Overall though, it all passed my litmus test and since we weren't stuffed, we finsihed off the meal with a refreshing mango lassi that I could have drank a whole gallon of. As others have said, it's more expensive than what you will find at similar places in Lavapies, but the service was great, food delicious and atmosphere chic yet comfortable. My parents and I dined here on our recent visit to Madrid. The fact that even locals know this place says a lot about its popularity. The food was excellent - authentic North Indian flavor. The ambience is Indian too but with a twist! You'll have to check it out yourself to experience it. The meal costs at least 20€/pp. The only reason we would NOT return to this restaurant is it's snobbish staff. They expected us tourists (who found the restaurant on a mobile app) to have called before coming. This despite the fact that about half the restaurant was empty at that hour. Moreover, during billing, my dad had to search for his card's PIN. The lady was silly enough to suggest to him (yes, to an old man of 60) that he should remember all his PINs. Indian hospitality, kindness and courtesy were all but missing. However, my parents were craving for good Indian food so I couldn't care less for their lack of politeness. read more

Lets start with - you need reservation. If u do not have one, you will need to wait till 11:30 or so to get in. This place serves individulized Indian food, not fusion stuff. So, we have been in Madrid for over a week and now were craving Indian food as u can see from the pics, the two of us ordered for 4 people. Lets start with decor, as others have pointed out, it is not a typical Indian resturant. The railway ambiance works very well, even the mens room looks like it is from Indian Railway. Lets now focus on the owner and the meal. The owner is passionate about cooking. He is an electrical engineer from Australia and interacts with his clients and gets an idea what will they wiuld love. He then instructs the kitchen to cook the individualized meal. We started with garlic infused tandoori chicken. It was amazing, it is for people who have the pallet. After that amazing appetizer, we had three a additionall dishes. One was khari chicken. This was full of ginger flavour and dall makni reminded me of bukhara resturant in New Delhi. Lastly we ordered bhindi. I would recommend to ask to make the dish spicy. It not only is hotter but more favourful. The owner learnt how to cook from watching his mom and continues to improve his dishes. He loves to cook and it shows. Recommend it and will be back. read more

Place is always super busy so make sure you have reservations. It's trendy looking from inside, servers are extremely friendly & food well, it's one of the BEST Indian/Pakistani cuisine in Madrid. We were fortunate that the owner took our order & guided us through. For starters we ordered samosas followed by grill (which I highly recommend). Main course we ordered Shrimp Masala & Chicken dish with the owner said to leave it on him since we like extra spicy. Also in the beginning they have complimentary papar with chutney. For drinks sweet Lassi was soothing & dessert pistachio kulfi delicious. Our stomach was stuffed but craving wasn't lol....Must try!!!! read more

Food: We had the madras curry, chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, rice, and the pakoda I believe it was. I have to start by saying that the garlic naan was the best naan I have ever had! It was the perfect consistancy and delicious! The chicken tikka masala was very good although I like mine a bit more creamy and the madras had a decent amount of spice to it! The pakoda was very good as well. Price: I think it is priced well for the quality of the food! Definitely affordable especially if you are eating with a group. Decor: Very sheek! I actually felt a little under dressed but not uncomfortable per se. Service: The service was very good. The staff was friendly and all the food came out in a timely manner. Overall: Definitely check this place out! The food is great!! Try to make a reservation though as they tend to fill up fast and it appears that they may not really cater to walk ins very much since this is such a popular place. read more

For Indian food in Spain, this place is tough to beat. After being in Spain for a few weeks, we were craving really good Indian food and this place hit the spot. Delicious, flavorful food. The rice with saffron and a few other spices was super light and went really well with the half chicken, which was grilled perfectly -- it was crunchy and a little charred on the outside and moist on the inside. The mango chutney is a great balance between sweet and savory, and the naan is served warm and tastes fresh. Service was also excellent. Definitely going back! read more

Fantastic Indian food. I had the prawn curry and for the first time in my time in Spain (nearly 4 years), I size of the prawns were actually noticable. It is EXPENSIVE and tends to attract an elite crowd. I understand the high prices given that the cheaper Indian restaurants around the city are pretty terrible. read more

I have had dinner twice in Tandori Station. The first time about a year ago. The second time few days ago. To put it in simple words, Tandori Station is an above average Indian restaurant at arguably very high prices (e.g.,€13 for a small-size curry, rice not included). My comparison group are Indian restaurants in Madrid. If I compared Tandori Station with Toronto (Canada) Indian and Pakistani restaurants, Tandori Station is average quality at much higher prices. I lived in Toronto for over seven years. The curries, particularly the chicken tikka masala, are quite tasty but overpriced. The samosas (meat) had thick-crust and were extremely dry in the interior. read more

If you miss Indian food, if you are okay with minuscule portions of dahi, exorbitantly priced onions and arrogant staff (the adjectives best suited are probably not acceptable on a public forum) Tandoori station is a dream! Embarrassingly so, my husband and I were craving Indian food while abroad (I know, I know. I feel like my parents). Regardless, I'm so SO glad we acted on that craving because Tandoor Station seriously delivered! First off, this place is FABULOUSLY decorated. It's chic, and not trying too hard like most Indian restaurants I've been too. It really keeps to the "train station" decor, and does a great job with it. Once we arrived, the hostess gave us a look that we didn't make reservations...the restaurant was half empty, and I looked at her in disbelief. Fortunately, this was the only bad part of our night. We ordered the tandoori grilled prawns and keema samosas to start. The samosas were unforgettable, but the prawns are something I will NEVER forget - beautifully spiced and cooked! My mouth is already drooling! For our entress, we ordered the rogan josh (AMAZING, and the best lamb dish I've had in a while) and the chicken balti (unique, but I would've liked to try something else). After stumbling through about 10 different places upon moving to Madrid, I found this jewel and have been a regular ever since. The staff is warm, the food incredible and the atmosphere is very chic. My boyfriend and I are staying for a couple months in Spain and wanted to find a good Indian near us. Tandoori Station didn't disappoint. They have a menu del dia which was very reasonable for lunch. It came with an appetizer, main dish and either rice or naan and a dessert for 12-13 Euros. We had a lamb madras, a veggie khorma, and the chicken tikka masala. All were very tasty. We will be coming back to try more dishes. The decor was similar to a metro station and was very cute. My brother recommended Cobra beer which is an Indian beer that they had as well. The food was good, but the service was okay. Although the food came out fairly quickly, we had trouble ordering because there was no English version of their menu. When we asked the waiter (who spoke English) if there was a translated version of their menu, he simply said no and walked away. Therefore, we just ended up ordering dishes that we familiar with (chicken makhani, biryani, naan, etc). We are on business trip from United States, found this realist rant on google and tried it one , good was awesome . Especially tandoori fish was great. We came back again after two days and still the food was of same quality, wrapped up dinner with excellent Masala Chai.
