The lady we dealt with was amazing. You can tell she truly valued our patronage. She went above and beyond. The food was outstanding! Everything is cooked with fresh homemade ingredients. Very good handmade Mexican food. The corn tortillas are pressed on site. The tacos are only two dollars which is great for the size - huge and just stuffed with delicious ingredients! The burrito is perfectly sized with a great ratio of ingredients. The quick grill is a nice touch that adds a perfect amount of crunch The only downside I can think of is the lackluster flavor in the rice and beans but otherwise definitely ready for repeat business. read more

I work in the area and have been getting Nally's at least once a week so far! I usually get the Mexican style tacos and the Mexican corn. So good, one of my favorite Mexican restaurants ever - it tastes super authentic as well. I love the ability to order exactly what I want online and pick it up at the window. So quick and easy. Ordered take out through their app. It needs a better system on when the order would be ready. It was very busy and the app did not account for that. Waited an extra 25 mins for the meal. This was our first time. Food was good. Beef burrito was awesome. Gordita was not - I'm not ordering this again. Quesadilla was very good - wasn't huge but was very filling. Steak tacos were acceptable. Beef enchiladas was better than average. And pork tamales were pretty good. Rice and beans were average. Oh my dear, Nally! I am here for you!!!!! I've been meaning to check this place out for a few months but just never took the jump. Let me just say that this is my new go to for all things Mexican food (except rice, could have been timing that day it just opened but it wasn't soft enough for my preference). The tostada- amazing. Chicken tacos? Delicious. My made to order churro? Bye Felicia. Incredible. Didn't make it out of the parking lot...it just happened to accidentally on purpose fall into my mouth...And I liked it ;-) The empanadas were equally as fresh and tasty. Davenport deserves more good and authentic places like this. We've tried at least 5-6 other Mexican restaurants in the area and nothing has compared to the love that they put into their food here. I can't say enough good things about this little spot. We have only ordered take out from here and it's not some place that is there to be cute and about ambience. Stopped in for dinner tonight and had some pretty darn good food! Our dinner consisted of nachos, gorditas and kids mini burrito with rice and beans. The nachos we're in the top 3 nachos I've had. They're super loaded... the meat is delicious and the toppings are spilling over! Mmmm. The gorditas were big and filling! The kids burrito was the size of a normal burrito and was loaded. The beans were great! Very good rice! For dessert, we ordered the filled churros. Seriously amazing. The only complaint I would have is that there isn't any fountain soda. You have to buy it by the can or bottle. Very authentic though and the food made up for that! read more

Fresh real Mexican food for GREAT prices! The meals aren't heavy on your stomach like other restaurants such as La Rancherita who uses canned everything. They have multiple vegetarian options. We got takeout from Nally's on our way through the quad cities. I got the red enchiladas with veggies and I thought the veggies were delicious - they were clearly freshly prepared. Plus, I enjoyed the combination of veggies. Their rice, beans, and pico were all delicious as well. I absolutely hate potatoes in my Mexican food so I ate very little of my beef enchiladas. Beans and rice were good. Salsa was way too sweet but we asked for "hot" sauce and that was good. My husband, however, likes potatoes in his Mexican so he loved the meal. I should have taken longer to look at the menu. I just ordered what he did so that's on me. Tried this place now twice the first time I tried the Steak Guisada and it was not bad but not Puerto Rican style. Second time tried the Empanadas, one chicken, one potato & chorizo, one ground beef. They also were not bad but were made Mexican style not Puerto Rican. I also had the Guacamole and it was made fresh but it was not good. It was basically "pico de gallo" with some avocado in it. One could not taste the avocado in it. The onions in it were way to much and personally, I'm not used to even having onions in guacamole. Simply put, if you go for the items that are typically Puerto Rican, you will be disappointed because they are made Mexican style. The people are very friendly so, I will try them out again but I will stick to the traditional Mexican dishes. I will report back on how that turns out. read more

I really wanted to like this place! I love hole in the wall restaurants! However, I was very disappointed. I came with my two kids. My son had nachos, my daughter had beef tacos and I had a beef taco salad. We waited an hour for our food! Luckily, we had chips and salsa to hold us over. We really liked the salsa. When we finally got our food, my daughter took one bite and told me to taste the meat. It tasted just like we make at home with store bought taco seasoning. That was disappointing! If I'm paying to go out to eat, I expect it to be better than what I make at home. My taco salad was mostly lettuce and my son's nachos were cold and looked like cheese whiz from a can. This is the best and freshest Mexican restaurant I have tried in at least 10 years. I tried the grilled pork gordita - it was completely full of tender pork as it should be (not stuffed with beans or lettuce like other places do). I could tell the gordita pocket itself was made to order because it was soooo fresh and soft. The chocolate churro was PERFECT. There was a large variety of salsas - they were fresh and summery. My sister is basically obsessed with the huaraches - I tried it and I will be getting that next time. I also tried my dad's steak (carne asada) fajitas and I almost melted. The guacamole was also fresh and pleasant, accompanied with warm and crunchy chips. It is located in a more industrial part of town next to a gas station, but don't be fooled - the food is great. Interesting set up... when you walk in, you're expected to place your order at the front including drinks before you sit down, or you can take a seat, review the menu, then get back up to order your drinks and food. If you needed another drink during your visit, the expectation is that you get back up to order and pay for it. The food was decent, but we did have an enchilada plate, one was a cheese enchilada and the cheese inside was cold and not melted. The rice was as if it was sitting all day waiting to be served. I wasn't too impressed with the empanadas either, the beef tasted like generic store bought taco seasoning. I did really enjoy the salsa and chips yet not enough for me to return. read more

Short Review: Food was Good not Great. But almost great. Good prices. Very weird service/environment. Long review: This trip, as all trips to west davenport, was very interesting to say the least. First off... do NOT be fooled by their website. Their website (as well as pictures on yelp) are not AT ALL what the food looks like or the restaurant. There are 3(three!) booths in the place, it all feels really run down. Mismatched paint on the walls, random half-done construction projects that look like they've been half done since the 70's. Definitely can tell that it wasn't originally supposed to be dine in, but carry out only. You can tell this because on all their menu's, they wrote with a sharpie, "Dine in too." Had to laugh out loud at that. By menu, I mean a tiny piece of paper. Okay, I feel a little bad, maybe I am being harsh, but their website made it seem like an upscale place! I got tacos, my buddy got a torta. The torta looked way better than my tacos. They were a bit dry. We both ordered Churros. They were very tasty. They definitely focus on the deserts here. Bottom Line- if you want an upscale meal, don't go here. If you want good, cheap Mexican food with an interesting experience. DO go here. read more

I've been wanting to try this place all winter. Weather nice today, popped by. Before lunch rush, just a couple orders ahead of me for takeout. I ordered 1 empanada, it took 25 mins. for this tiny thing to be made? I'd read reviews of how great their food is and all. I was ready to really like their food...... Authentic, no, taste was lacking, no spices, boring. Kind of sad. I don't see the appeal in the food or the place. I know good authentic Mexican food, I lived down on the border in Texas.
